Just wanted to say Hi y'all , I spend a lot of time on the HHV subforum on ECF , but ECF as a whole is getting stranger by the day , there's some things going on there that I really don't like . I've seen some familiar faces on here already and I'm looking forward to meeting the rest of y'all .

ECF is run by a core group of zealots who seem to think any conversations or ideas outside of their narrow view of vaping/ecigs is a bannable offense.

For me, it started with the banning of a friend over talking about a flavoring for crying out loud! So what, it was called Mary Jane. It's a flavoring name! Then another time, shortly thereafter, I read a thread that ended up getting closed, and one of the mods had posted a warning. The last warning was in large bold, red letters saying "Do you UNDERSTAND??". That was enough for me. I still have an account there, but no longer post there. I mean, when you feel like a scolded child just for chatting with friends and having to watch your wording?? I'm flippin' 46 years old. You don't get to tell me what to do. OK, unless you're my Mom.

Another thing I've noticed over here... when people have the freedom to speak as they choose, they don't blatantly post words not allowed over there, anyway. Yeah, people use shit, fuck, dickhead, asshole, etc... but it's not all over the place. We know how to be adults when we get treated like adults.

I'd have to purposefully get an infraction then. Cause I would want a badge. And I've always been a good boy over there and never been infracted. Maybe using the "word" infracted would get me my infraction.

Welcome! My experience has been very positive here. I got banned for a week over there for posting an email from a manufacturer about a dishonest vendor. (Guess I should have checked to see how many groupies they had first.) I've been back to look and read but not to post. (Why bother.) I actually got a PM from one jerk gloating over my being gone and not posting anymore. Seriously!?! I invited him/her to move on past junior high and that petty nonsense.
I thoroughly enjoy the forum interaction here. Of course there are a fair share of jerks everywhere but the moderators here are much more levelheaded and consistent.

I got the Asterisk of bad behaivior in ECF for mentioning the fact that I worked in a vape shop.... I didnt "sell" anything, I didnt mention what we sold, I didnt offer anything of valuable knowledge but still got the Asterisk of shame... might have as well painted a BIG RED A on my Ass by placing the Asterisk next to my status level.....

Ok im intrigued now. Ive never been a member of ecf but when i Google a question. Many times a thread for there pops up and i read it. Nothing out of the ordinary. So what is the vibe over there? I mean i get here you can say fuck, piss, titty winks, etc...but do they just promote ego twists or something.

If you are a member and got to know the workings of the staff and how the place is policed you'd have a better idea, than just reading a few threads, I was a veteran member over there since 2010 and saw many changes of hands in the admin and staff , you get to see the patterns and reactions from an inside eye , so you are lacking history and circumstance to understand fully what this is all about.....lucky you~
