(if you don't know what brandy snaps are: http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/2451643/brandy-snaps)

New today at HIC's Mixes : Brandy Snaps

View attachment 34873
"Tastes like those brittle, lacy, brandied butterscotch-ginger cookies that Grandma would fill with flavored whipped cream. The sweet cream here is swirled with brandy, vanilla, and citrus, for a tasty holiday treat. This recipe uses FlavourArt flavorings including Brandy, TFA Brown Sugar, and Nature's Flavors Ginger (Ginger contains diketones)."

...I see you say no Fa ginger. But how about flavor west ginger Or flavor express ginger ?

Nature's Flavors: With Mamaj's down for their move, here's another source: http://ejuice4u.com/ginger-natures-flavors/ . Watch out for shipping charges, but it's sure less than NF direct.

NF direct sells only 30ml or more, has laughable shipping charges, and ship time is measured in weeks/months.

Flavor Express Ginger (at ecigexpress) is disgusting. It has some ginger flavor to it, but it's mostly some kind of stinky (tobacco?) - really revolting. See my review at ecigexpress. They wouldn't post my review until I gave it 2 stars. LOL.

FlavourArt Ginger - literally a bottle of vegetable cooking oil with ginger flavor. It's surprisingly weak for an FA flavor, and will gunk your hardware with oil. Yeah, I tried anyway, just to confirm common sense. It is entirely useless for vaping. If you're stir-frying, use it by the spoonful...fercryinoutloud, just buy a hunk of real ginger for actual kitchen use. (ecx would not post my submitted reviews and ignored direct contact with this info, but finally allowed through someone else's review and added a disclaimer in their description.)

Flavor West Ginger - It is not as concentrated and not as tasty, but if ginger is a minor flavor in a recipe AND other spice flavors are included, FW will work pretty well. If ginger is an accent in a recipe with no other spices, it's a noticeable step down from great flavor. As a lead flavor in a recipe, it's a major step down from NF.

In Brandy Snaps, ginger is somewhere between a lead flavor and an accent. If you already have FW Ginger, you could try it at 1.5 or 2%. If you don't already have FW Ginger, don't waste your $ on it.

I see ecigexpress now sells Lorann's Ginger Oil, which is (literally) oil-soluble essential oil of ginger. I'll bet it's great for fried rice. I won't theorize on whether it's wise to inhale ginger oil, but I will reiterate ecx's general "buyer beware" philosophy.

Hey everyone, check it out! flavourart.com
(They re-did their website)
Go to the "online store" option now to see the flavors.

I see 3 new "e-motions" flavors: Aurora, Eclipse, and Monsoon. I assume these are all tobaccos; they apparently haven't hit the US yet, but I'll try them when they do.

Along with new flavors, it seems they have a new writer. Check out this description of Monsoon:

"Be blown away with dark spicy Tobacco...Imagine the Monsoon wind racing over the ocean to the rain forest, twisting and turning through groves of fruit trees, slowing to absorb the sweet freshness before laying itself gently across a field of Vanilla, relaxing and savouring nature's gifts. Such was the inspiration behind our new flavour, Monsoon, a polyhedral celebration of gentle, floral fruits set on a cushion of soft sweetness."

Wow, "polyhedral celebration"! LOL!

It's so great to hear from new DIYers enjoying their results! Did you previously use vendor liquids, or are you new to vaping?
I am new to both. I bought watermelon jolly rancher and it was $17 for a 15ml bottle and I cant afford that so have been trying to make it. I have made some really good recipes but still unsuccessful and that one.

One of the few Lorann's flavors I actually still use is the clear watermelon, which mixed as a standalone at 8-10% does taste like the Jolly Rancher candies. ;)

Does anyone have a mixing % for TFA Vanilla Bean Gelato? I bought a 4 oz. cos it was cheaper before meeting HIC's KINGDOM here.

I remember reading somewhere here that HIC thinks this is a good one. I think he said "it's good with FA fruits for a sherbet/gelato mix" but don't quote me lol could be remembering wrong. Anyone with a recipe or mixing % to go with FA fruits would be appreciated!:)

Vaping HIC's Kokopelli Mango & hmm, hmm good! I swear HIC's recipes are better than any bar none! Commercial ejuice or otherwise!

Don't know how you do it Sir HIC! You definitely deserve a "Title"! We all bow down to you lol! :)

If anyone hasn't tried HIC's Dacquois de Citron et Fraise, run, I mean run to your mixing station, manifique!
Mixed up HIC's Brandy Snaps, 2 Lemoncello Torrone Parfait, my 2nd Cranberry Jam Muffins with Mandarin this time & omg Pear Apple Frangipane. All this yummy goodness! If not for HIC I would not have the pleasure to enjoy! So, thank you a million times and than some!

I'm assuming it's comparable to vanilla bean ice cream; the only recipe I've made with the ice cream is used at 8%, but YMMV.

Thanks Teresa, I'll try with 8%. Unless others chime in.

I haven't tried it yet but I have a note that it is 1 drop per ml.

Also in my notes may be what you read of HIC's -

HIC - For a fruity sherbet background, I use about 2% FA Custard with a little (0.5% ish) FA Fresh Cream. If it needs to be sweeter, I add about 0.5% FA Meringue (only with fruits).

OR for a vanilla sherbet sort of background, TFA's new Gelato flavor is working pretty well for me at low percents. It's a lighter effect than ice cream flavors.

Hi Huck

We've been busy packing and moving. It's not that easy when it's interstate. We're both worn out and have just come back last night to finish sorting, packing and hopefully selling what we can't take with us. Also finalising the sale of our property. It's a much bigger job than we thought it would be. We're taking a day off to relax and I couldn't wait any longer to catch up with what's going on here. Been missing all you guys :)

Thanks! Yes, that is what I read from HIC. Appreciate it! Can you gander a guess what is a low %? 2-3% ?

It would only be a very rough guess but I would start very low at 1 drop per ml. I have a spreadsheet that I add to whenever I read something I think is important. I don't know where I got that measurement from but I must have thought it was worth entering. That's where I would start because you can always add a little more. :D

I must have posted that a long time ago. I would still start with FA Custard for anything for Italian gelato flavor, but I wouldn't get the current FA Meringue flavor anywhere near it! TFA's new one, maybe. "Low percents" to me is 3% or less - I'd start with 3% of that TFA gelato flavor plus 3% or more of whatever else it needed. If it included fruits, I'd sure stick with FA Custard instead, just my preference.

New (yesterday) at HIC's Mixes: Pink Cadillac collection

p Pink Cadillac.jpg
"Beginning with a classic Pink Cadillac (cranberry margarita), small additions and substitutions are made to create three more recipes: Pink Maserati, Pink Sunrise Mojito, and a virgin Cranberry Fruit Punch. If you enjoy sweet lime and cranberry beverages, these holiday-inspired recipes are for you. These recipes require FlavourArt flavorings including both lime flavors, plus Cranberry and Citrus Punch by The Flavor Apprentice. All flavorings are diketone-free; TFA Cranberry contains butyric acid."

These are all pretty sweet beverage flavors, like using Ocean Spray cranberry "juice" instead of the health-food store kind.

HIC I done did it!:D I added .5% FA Peppermint to your Pirate Truffles, I did! Fresh mixed and day #1 I thought the peppermint was taking over on the Aztec quality, yet did I still get that?? Vaping it at the 24 hour mark and yes it is there, but not as pronounced as if there was no peppermint, I think anyways. The peppermint began calming down some after a good 12-18 hours. I really like it. I vape about 5 ml daily and mixed it up b4 bed and only have 1 ml left...So yes it is good!! I shall be vaping your tfa meringue version of your Yummy Vanilla-Cinnamon straws tomorrow!! I'm in heaven! Thanks so much for spicing up my holidays with yumminess!! I mixed up a few of your Pink Cadillac recipes thanks to another special someone buying me for Christmas...what a sweet Christmas present. I have been so blessed this holiday with good friends and family I have literally teared up several times with their gestures of love!:)
