Thanks to a group I formed on Facebook for locals in my area, I had the chance to meet a very cool vaper. This guy is experienced, has 5 year's under his belt and is super passionate about vaping. I met him at Crimson Vapor and we hung out, talked about the struggles of vaping in the past and he also let me use a few of his PV's that he brought along.

I tried the Cloupor Hana Clone... and I f*%$ing LOVE it! Everything from the clicky small buttons, the way it feels in my hand to the outstanding performance, I completely understand the hype that has surrounded this mod.

And now, I have to get my own. How are you liking yours?

I am still on the fence about ordering one. I have tried the IPV2 and a couple others but not this.

Mine will ride the pine once my Sigelei 50w arrives, but it has definitely been a reliable work horse since early July.

ps. that 'big surprise' mid september is rumored to be a software update to 100watts

Haha @VaporJoes , I better hush huh?

Once I felt the clickyness of the buttons, I was in love. Can't wait until I can get this mod. I usually skip buying hyped products since I'm not much of a needy vaper (I can be comfortable with an MVP). However, I wish I would have gotten one earlier.

For the $70 I paid for the cloupor, it's my ADV device. I do wish the fire button was a larger dome style though.

I have been using the one that I received from Focal for almost a month now daily!

Great little mod and I love it to death.

Well worth the $56 they are selling it for IMHO.

Last me all day, charges my VCT5 in four hours which is fine because I sleep for 8 hours.

The finish seems to be indestructible.

It really should have picked up a few scratches by now but nothing that I can see.

I have the Cloupor 30 watt and iPV 35 watt , i like the iPV more since it has an original and proven chip and that i can actually turn the thing off . Can't turn the Cloupor off and it goes through batteries much faster.

It goes to sleep but comes back on by itself all the time , even when it's not near any electronics , I also like the one year warranty of the iPV , my Cloupor doesn't even have a warranty.

The only complaint I have of the Hana and the clone is the firing button. Like said above a dome firing button would have been much nicer.

To add, I think being able to turn the device on and off would have been useful for both safety and battery conservation.

I have had my Cloupor HM DNA 30 clone for a couple of months now and it has served me well.. I'm using it around .6 to 1 ohm and it is perfect to me in that range.. I have many mods but the Cloupor is always in the rotation.. I prefer to vape in the .2 to .4 ohms range so one of the 100W devices entering the market now will take it's place in the near future..

I'm hoping Cloupor gets this T-5 50W out of it's system and gets a better looking dual battery 100W device out soon.. I'm a big fan of vaping regulated devices using pass-thru charging and this Cloupor DNA 30 of mine is great for that but It chews up the batteries @ 30W so a 50W device with a single 18650 is not the direction they should have gone in imo..

That's the one thing that's making me think about not getting the Hana. Does it matter if it's never off? More importantly, iz it zafe?

I have a HANA DNA 30 also and I like it. I wish It could vape lower than .6 ohms but no joy. I can't wait to get the 100W Sigeli mod, thanks to VaporJoe for the heads up on the 100w for $99 pre order deal!

Wait, you can't vape below a .6?

Yes It does matter it never turns off.. There are many people who are not comfortable with that idea.. I don't think it is 100% safe in the big picture for a totally safety conscious individual.. A on / off switch would have been great.. I'm not a totally safety conscious person so I own one and don't worry about it.. Use good batteries, check your connections and keep it isolated away from other flammables if you charge it while you sleep or are away from it is all I can do and I have had no issues with mine..

The cloned DNA chip can get hot. What is that on the back of the board - an inductor? It gets very hot and with the board folded in the Hana it's too close to the display. It "might" be why many users suffer screen failure.

The regulation chip also gets hot. I don't know if a small heatsink would solve that. Yes you can go down to .7 and some lower but at low ohms as it gets hot it begins to reduce it's power output or miss fire.

If it's a cloned DNA mod you're after, especially with the board folded as it is, I suggest using an atty with a higher resistance.
(A small anti-vandal style push button would look and handle best on it I think)

No Joy @ .5 it is hit or miss. That's why i bucked up for the Sigeli 100W it is supposed to go down to .2 or.3 Ohms. I'm not a Cloud Chaser But, when i make a nice duel coil build and can't use it because its a .52 it pisses me off. LOL!

That's right. For me it's about being able to swap around tanks on devices and not having to worry about whether it'll run or not. I like the idea of knowing that whatever I make it's going to fire on whatever I use it on instead of either being limited to certain attys or having to recoil which is just dumb.

I felt the same way after reviewing the Cloupor DNA30 .. initially I had zero interest in any sort of box mod, mechanical and VW. The Cloupor DNA30 did change that for me, and it is now part of my regular rotation of devices. The only thing that I want, that it cannot give me is longer battery life, which is my only gripe with single battery high watt mods.

Firing a .5ohm coil at 30w only gets you about 3.8v, so you'll actually get higher wattage with an unregulated mechanical mod ;)
Wierd thing i had happen...
On a russian91% at .7ohm dual coil fired at 32 watts i burned the cotton in half. On a orchid clone with the same build(pretty much..... .5 ohms) i run at 50 watts all the time with no problems. Any ideas?

Not sure, I'm far from being knowledgeable on the technical aspects of this, but I think there are lots of other variables involved as well, perhaps someone could chime in on this with a better understanding than I do.

I assume the Orchid clone uses a dual coil as opposed to the Russian which is a single coil?
Coil diameter & wire gauge the same?

The russian was built with dual coils, too. They had pretty much the exact same build with wire from the same spool wrapped on the same drill bit and the russian had been running fine at 20 watts. Its just wierd is all.

That's odd how that plays out. I used a .4 TOBH Atty on that Cloupor Hana with 15 watts I think I was at, and it was performing very very nice.

I use my clouper 30 every day with a magma single coil at 1.4 ohms. At 30 watts it gives me a very nice warm, flavorful vape. The only gripe i have is the battery drain....i got through 3 a day lol, still a bit better than a mechanical at .15 ohms (5 batteries a day). I can definitely say that as soon as i get my hands on a 100+ watt dual 18650 regulated mod the clouper will replace my fiances mvp for her mini nautilus and i will never look back 8)

I'm far from an expert but I do have a good working knowledge of electronics and ohms law ect.... call me crazy but really these regulated high wattage mods are really not for sub ohm builds. The fact that can you do that with these is awesome and all but I've been getting sub ohm performance from a higher ohm coil build which takes advantage of the chips working voltages better in my opinion. I also think the higher the ohms the better. I'm getting awesome flavor and blowing dense clouds of vapor with a 2.2 ohm coil at 25 watts. It fires it at 7.4 volts it really surprised me this is on the magma dripper single coil but dual coil results.

I tend to agree with you. most of my coils are in the 1.6 to 2.0 ohm range and I like the results.

I just got the IPV2 & I'm really liking it, has the nice tactile clicky buttons, plus the touch fire which can be turned on & off, I can actually shut the unit off after a few clicks, can't fry the board if you put the battery in wrong, my brother has the Clouper & yeah it's very nice but I really swear by my IPV2 & the 1 year warranty I couldn't pass up, we ran the same set ups , both brand new Sony UTC5's & the IPV2 has outlasted his Clouper by a very noticeable difference in vape time. But by all means the Clouper he likes very much & I like mine very much.

IMO it's kind of a mindset problems for people coming from mech mods where we have to build low to get good results, whereas the regulated mods can push more power without being held back by the coil. I have the same "problem", like when I am watch Rip Tripper videos and he's talking about his 1.6-2.2 ohm coils and blowing these huge clouds, and talking about a warm vape, I wonder to myself "is he on crack or something"?

Just was reading this thread and I hope I made the right choice, I ordered a E MECH Transformer in Black without logo. I am used to my Provari s so I'm sure I have a learning curve. I know this is only 30 watts but it's perfect for me as I read in this thread 50 and 100 watts are not what I need.
