Just got a 180Ml bottle of milkman by one hit wonders and I love this juice but with in two hours I started to get throat irritation like I had something stuck in the bottom of my throat. Before any says PG allergy it's an 80/20 VG/PG blend.

Has anyone else had this issue?
Nothing seems to help it this really sucks as I love the juice and I don't want to stop using it. But having this discomfort and issues swallowing anything is going to make have to put this one down for good.

I have read a number of posts where vapers have a sensitivity to diacetyl rich e-liquids...

They claim there is no baddies. But it has been requested that they test to show proof to support their claims. There is a thread on ecf talking about it.

I wonder what the cost would be for an independent test.
I think testing is around $250. If it is creamy, buttery, custardy, and doesn't taste sour or like vomit, it has Diacetyl. These days, e-liquid companies who don't post test results and have these styles of flavors aren't fooling many...

If it's causing your throat tissues to swell, stop using it immediately, that's an allergic reaction to something in the juice, flavoring, or otherwise.

Same thing happens to me with red hot cinnamon flavored ejuice.

It tastes like puke to me so maybe they're telling the truth

Is there a "list" that shows diketone free juice vendors?

OMG people...no one who is vaping has gotten sick from diacetyl. There was a total of around 21 cases, all before the mass comercialization of e-cigs. And all of them were smokers, not vapors. Given the test results that Five Pawns had near .25% Acetoin (which is off the charts for those that don't know, 2500ppm), also given that it had such a huge following you would expect to see forums all over the place asking if other people are getting sick off five pawns liquid. But strangely enough you don't...And why is that...because the doctor that got everyone so scared of diacetyl just happens to be a cardialogist, not a pneumologist/pulmonologist (lung doctor). If you have a heart attack do you see your optometrist for advice?

All that being said my best guess as to why your reacting to your e-liquid might just simply be a reaction to your extracts found in your e-liquid. It also could be made with organic ingredients which have a tendency to inflame the lungs. It could also be that there is still ethanol in the liquid that wasn't evaporated off after being mixed, or could simply be added for extra throat hit (I know at least 1 person who does this.) The other possible reason could be too little wick on your coil, or just that your running your mod too hot. Also you will get a harsh vape if you oversaturate your wicks when you drip. There is also the source of the extracts and nicotine to consider. Most stuff from china will mess you up, some even tested positive for ammonia (AKA. Cheap as F***). I would bet that it is one of these reasons well before you had any kind of reaction to diacetyl. Most e-liquids don't come anywhere close to the limit that NOSHA set which is 13ppm PER 15 MINUTES, UNDER STRENUOUS PHYSICAL ACTIVITY. (Vaping is rarely strenuous, and most people breath fresh air in between hits, just saying.)

The cinnamon reaction would be the Cinnamaldehyde. This extract is very corrosive and damaging to the liver and much more cause for a scare than diacetyl. They are even finding that eating cinnamon can be just as bad for you. But yes it is possible to have an allergic reation as well. Even for someone like me who isn't allergic, vaping juices with high concentrations of Cinnamon do make my throat sore after a few days.

I have the exact same experience. Feels like someone has a choke hold on my throat from the inside. Sometimes my ears plug up from swelling. OHW Milkman is so delicious. I have been thinking about taking Benadryl to see if it's an actual allergy. I have never been allergic to anything in my life. Been vaping 5 years and have never had a juice do this. I am a cinnamon vaper and it is harsh on the throat but not even close to the same experience. Feels like I got kicked in the throat. This is a legit experience. I pick up another juice for an hour and symptoms reside. Same result multiple times a day for 3 weeks now. I read on another sight it could be sucrolose. Whatever it is I have never experienced this once before in 5 years. Total bummer!!!

Nothing to do with wicking, Vape is not harsh at all. No throat hit. Been building for 2 years. Mod running at 66 watts on .48 coil. Use roughly same build as usual and re-wicking with different juices on same coil. I have changed nothing except juice. This is definitely isolated to the juice. Be great if they listed ingredients and source of them.

Here are your One Hit Wonder Milkman test results:

okay is that good or bad?
I have the exact same issues with OHW liquid and was concerned enough to find out why which brought me here. Diacetyl IIRC was found to give people "popcorn lung" but idk in what concentrations. One Hit is literally the only liquid I've ever used that makes me weaze.. I just thought I was getting sick. I'm about ready to dump this bottle down the drain.

Yep some ingredient in the juice. I have the same issue with many flavorings. however my ADV is CAP Vanilla Custard V1 based.... So I don't think it is the diketones and such.

Yes it would so I could isolate which ingredients give me grief instead of dumping money down the drain trying them out.

Regardless - OHW Neopolitan is the ONLY liquid I've ever used that gave me respiratory issues... so much that a simple internet search for the ingredients led me to this forum. Thanks for forking out the cash to have it tested. The manufacturer offers zero information on their website as to what they put in it (which I find a little suspicious tbh). I've tried dozens and dozens of liquids from just as many manufacturers and never had any kind of reaction like this.

cheers
