Is the refrigerator the best place to store nicotine?

It probably won't be real long term. Maybe a few months

Does glass vs. plastic make a big difference to shelf life? I have most of my liter in the HDPE (LDPE? It's from MFS) bottle it arrived in and the rest decanted into glass in the fridge. I know this will have been answered elsewhere, but is there a known leaching issue with these plastics as well,?

I have a soda maker with a rubber tube attached so i can purge the oxygen with CO2 (heavier than oxygen) every time I use the nicotine. I started this practice when I bought some VT nicotine 7 months ago. It's still as clean as the day I bought it.

I have one of those soda makers. It's in storage 1000 miles away, but I'll get it eventually...and it's good to know about this idea. I've heard of doing it with.. I think it was argon. In fact, I think I was reading about that on the Nude Nicotine site many moons ago. I'll look into this. Thanks for the info.

I am going to throw a curve ball here.
I have mixed juice that has been setting in a dark corner of my closet for 18 months. I dip into it when I need to replace my 250 ml stock.
50/50 12% stored in 1 gallon white plastic bottles that the PG and VG came in.
Absolutely no degrading other than a color change to honey color.
I have never understood people thinking juice needs to be stored in dark or amber colored bottles in the freezer. The light does go off when the door shuts. (Or so I have been told)

Not juice - nicotine. Nic can degrade and get weaker when exposed to light for long periods.

My nic goes directly from the delivery package to the freezer.
I don't open it until I need it and I mix 2 gallons at a time.
Last a long time.

Sometimes I throw box and all in there without even opening it. Lol! But I do break the larger bottles down and pour them into smaller glass bottles. I'd hate to wait for larger bottles of vg based nic to get warm enough to work with. Smaller ones are more convenient.

Hey Seehad, do you use the soda maker for nic you're storing in the freezer or nic you leave out to use?

Would this help prolong oxidation with working nic I leave out at room temperature stored in an amber bottle in a dark place?

I keep the nic at room temperature in an amber bottle. I make all my juices at 3mg nic, so it took quite some time to go through that first bottle of nicotine. The last of that bottle was just as clean as the new one I recently opened.

That sounds promising!! Any chance you can share that soda maker and rubber tube attachment? Is it included or is it something I have to Macgyver together?

Primo soda maker (uses standard co2 canister that you can refill)

Then some food grade 1/4" inside diameter tubing. Could probably find it at your local hardware store
