Have I got the wrong gauge? Help with titanium.

Hi people. I bought some titanium wire a while back for vaping (The correct type, it was from a vaping source), but as I realised it was higher resistance than Ni200, I got 26 gauge, as I knew 26 gauge in Ni200 was virtually unuseable to me, due to the super low resitance and amount of wraps needed to get to 0.06.

I could definitely not build a dual coil with the 26 gauge lol, 30 gauge is all that seems to work for me, a bit annoying as it breaks more than a thicker wire would.

Right, back to titanium. Because of the higher resistance, I got 26 gauge.

Thing is, I think I may need a LOWER gauge, as getting it under 0.3 with a large enough coil size is almost impossible.

Anyone got any tips on what I can use this for? And is it better to go for 24 or 22 gauge next time?

Im pretty sure it is only like 3 wraps with this stuff at most on a 3MM driver, and I am worried this will burn the wick/ create a hotspot due to size, and also produce hardly any vapour due to the size of it.

I am also stumped how to choose titanium on my new Xcube 2. I am a techy guy, fix computers and such, but this stumps me. I can only find Nickel in my settings.

Any help would be much appreciated, you guys do genuinely help me. Everything I learnt has been here and an Engish forum!

So thanks to anyone that helpe me, and takes the time to read my threads.

Cheers, Conan.

Did you get this figured out? I am experiencing my own difficulty now that I am venturing into the tc on my ipv3li.

Yeah I figured it out completely. TI is meant to be higher resistance-and works perfectly well. I can make single or dual coils with this.

Coils I make around 0.3, duals turn out around .15, but they work-and they work great. I prefer TI to NI200 tempered if I am honest.

If you don't have a special "setting" so that your mod recognizes TI wire I've had good luck running the temperature 100F below my nickel temperature on the nickel setting ... Like 360F instead of 460F
