What recipe would you recommend me to try out without using so many different flavors?

I live in the EU and I'm going to order some flavors from "https://www.chefsvapour.co.uk/" The reason I'm going to order from them is because they have the brands like

"FA" "CAP" "TFA/TPA" FLV" "FLW"

I have seen some recipes but many of them requires to many flavors and I don't have any except Cookie flavor from "FlavourArt"

The problem is that I can only order for max 41 dollars (including shipping) before I have to pay customs.

I already have PG/VG and nicotine. I do have a Cookie Flavor from "FlavourArt"

So the limit is 41 dollars including shipping, so I cannot just go buy 10 different flavors.

Flavors i like is more sweet, candy like. I don't like tobacco taste.

Also, in case I fail with my mixing, what Premade E-juice would you recommend me to also pickup from "chefsvapour"?

41 dollars including shipping might be a tight budget, so maybe I could make a second order.

I use 12mg nicotine if that's important to know : )

I mix a strawberry custard that's 8% Cappella vanilla custard and 8% TFA ripe strawberry that's pretty good...
Make sure you let it sit for MINIMUM 1 week (shaking every day), longer is better

I have actually landed on a "Unicorn Milk clone"
I'm about to order. the only problem is that I need 7 different flavors and it costs 39.5 dollars including shipping and I can only order for max 41 dollars before I have to pay customs.

So it does work, but the recipe does use a bit more "Sweet Strawberry" So I would need probably 2-3 bottles of 10ml and that would cost more than 41 dollars. Customs would probably costing 40-50 dollars so it's better to make two orders, but shipping costs to much for just ordering 1 flavor. I could buy more flavors on my second order, but that's not really what I want to do.

Odd you can't get some cheaper direct from FlavourArt (Italy) or Inawera (Poland).
Just thinking they're closer to you.
You may have to pick out the cheaper brands to start with.
Or use some of the stronger brands like FA and Inawera to make them go farther...

Try the popular SpaceJam Andromeda clone. It's the flavor that made SpaceJam popular.

  • 4% Vanillin (TFA)
  • 8% Blueberry Extra (TFA)
  • 3% Pomegranate (TFA)

It's not allowed to sell vaping products in my country (Norway) so there are no local vendors here : /

I just bought flavors for the "Unicorn milk clone" I needed 7 flavors. Bought everything in 10ml bottles. Costed me 41 dollars including shipping. I would order one more bottle of "Sweet Strawberry" since they use a bit in this recipe but I couldn't order more because of customs. It would cost me extra 40-50 dollars. Just not worth it.

EDIT: This is the recipe I will follow:
http://bit.ly/1SiLCNh
I will adjust the PG/VG to 50/50 and use 12mg nicotine strengh

Thanks for the post. Will hold on to that. I have also heard that "Chocolate Coconut Almond (CAP) is a great standalone flavor also. And that is something I really enjoy.

I've tried that one too and didn't like it at all, FA Chocolate & FA Cocoa are the best Chocolate flavors I've found so far.
I didn't like any of the other CAP Chocolate stuff either, but many of the other flavors are great.

However, everybody's different, and some may really like it.
Which is why I recommend trying small sample sizes to start.
Hate to waste spending money on stuff I don't like...

Yeah, since I started I have bpught 1 liter each PG and Vg. 200ml nicotine and probably 100ml flavor that I have simply thrown.

I still haven't made a good E-juice. Probably because I haven't followed a recipe and the first nicotine base I got had a bad taste and smell.
When I first started I thought it would be good enough to just use one flavor for each bottle. I have probably tried 10 different FA flavors standalone.
Not a good idea. I tried everything from 1-30% flavor without actually noticing the flavor. Maybe it was because I used a bad nicotine or maybe i used to much? I normally make my E-juice with 12-16mg nicotine.

I take everything I can get. But won't be trying it in the near feature. I just bought flavors to make a clone for "Unicorn Milk"
The reason I use this recipe is because of the hype that was around it. Everybody liked it, and since I'm really close to drop doing DIY, I just have to try to make a recipe that has had great reviews. I have thrown to much flavor, PG/VG and nicotine. So if this isn't going to work, I would have to just buy premade.

i'm not planning on spending another 50 dollars on flavors if this isn't going to work. Because if it doesn't, I'm all out if ideas. I have tried so many different things. Maybe it could also be the Subtank mini V2 I'm using?

If I could give you any advice at all it would be to keep it simple....very simple just start out slow. There's no reason to start out making such a complex recipe that being a quarter percent off could make all the difference in bad to totally un-vapable. Possible you made it correctly, and you tried it as soon as you made it. well there's a problem in itself as you need two to four weeks to steep depending on someone's taste.

There are some of the best recipes and mixologists in the country on this forum and they are always more than willing to help. I think they will give you the same advice to start out keep it simple like was mentioned to you before. Some things are pretty much fail proof such as a dragon fruit cream and many many others. Reading Is Fundamental when it comes to this and I can read 20 hours out of the day and still be behind the curve. you'll get it!

You don't or shouldn't have to have a degree in chemistry to make eliquid. I've made juice with two to three flavors that taste better than "premiums" I've bought in the past. Some of the "complex" recipes are fine, but to a new mixer, ten to twelve flavors in a recipe can be quite intimidating and to me, it's quite unnecessary. Don't turn it into rocket science cuz it ain't.

I have actually never followed a recipie. In the begining I thought i could just mix a standalone strawberry for example and it would be good.
I also didn't know the big difference between brands. Like Strawberry (FA) and Strawberry (CAP)

So the first flavor I got was from a site called "E-trekk" and they make their own flavors. Probably not good.
Second time I bought flavor was from FlavourArt. At this point I still didn't know that I should mix more flavors to one bottle. So that one also didn't work for me.

A week ago I got Cookie flavor from FlavourArt (100ml) I used that also as standalone. That also didn't work since it's not a standalone flavor.

Yesterday i decided to follow a recipe. I have heard many great things about "Unicorn Milk" and when I found a clone recipe that had great reviews I just had to try it.

I have syringes (1ml, 2.5ml, 5ml, 10ml)
I have also bought: Measuring Cylinder 20ml and 10ml
I have also bought Plastic Eye Dropper (3ml) for the flavor
I have also bought a funnel

I would believe that I can measure things. I wouldn't say you need any experience to measure with a syringe or a cylinder. If you can't, you are to young.
That is literately things you could do elementary school.

But if it still doesn't taste good I don't think it's the E-juice. The PG and VG doesn't have any test. I have checked. The nicotine I have now is great. No flavor. The previous nicotine I had, had a terrible taste and smell.

So it would be either:
My Subtank mini
The Organic cotton
The build

Is it possible to taste Kanthal A1 wire? I make mine 1.8 with 3mm screwdriver. Glowing from the inside out. No space.
I really wanted to buy a premade E-juice but couldn't add any more to my basket because I would go over the customs limit, and I would need to pay extra 40-50 dollars.

I would think the hard part with DIY is to create recipes. Not to follow a recipe. Measure things with a syringe shouldn't not be hard. no matter how experienced you are with DIY. If you just take it slow, it should not be a problem.

EDIT:
I hope I don't sound ignorant. Don't know if I do. I'm just extremely tired, I haven't slept.
But I still believe that any adult at least should be capable of measure liquid with either a syringe or a cylinder.

That is just what I posted just seconds ago. Agree that you don't need to be a chemist to measure liquid. That's what the syringes are for.
I really didn't want to go for a complex E-juice. the idea was to just buy 2-3 flavors. But i just come across the "Unicorn Milk" and everybody raves about it. I found the recipe and it has great reviews. They say it's spot on. So why not. it doesn't really make any difference if I use 2 or 7 flavors. the only difference is it would take more time. If I can't measure liquid with a syringe, than I have no hope. But I believe that I can pull of the Unicorn recipe.

You definitely don't sound ignorant. I just read so many posts from new mixers who have put good money into trying to do what the "experts" do and they get disappointed and quit. You can make good juice, I promise you. And yeah, there are a few ingredients in the unicorn milk but it's really not good till it sits about a month. (I'm cutting some of the strawberry out of mine on the next batch, a tad too strong for my taste) I'd just hate to see another discouraged, tripping over the nice mole hills to climb the mountain. ;)

One of the problems is you did follow the hype just like many follow the stars at the end of a recipe which in most cases are self rated. You have to know a little history and why that recipe exploded as it did in the first place. But all that aside it's exactly what teresa said it's not rocket science. You're not trying to figure the best way to nail jello to a tree you're not trying to figure the best way to nail jello to a tree.

But I've got an idea should you keep doing doing the same thing you'll doing the same results and they always tend to be negative for you why not follow a simple recipe and tweak it from there there's probably 15000 on here. Just a suggestion well also read a lot. And wear sunscreen

I have heard that steeping the unicorn milk could take a month because of the "Vanilla Custard"
I could be wrong. I will let it steep for a month. Maybe I will make another order for a shake and vape or a E-juice that has a steeping time for a week.
I will take your advice on "Jam Roly Poly" and let it steep for a week. How many percentage would you recommend for 50/50 PG/VG with 12mg nicotine?

The custard is best steeped about that long but I personally thought the strawberry tasted way too "sharp" before that month was over. It takes about that long for the flavors to "mingle" and taste smooth.
As far as what is "good" in the recipes threads, just read the comments for each recipe. People will let you know what they thought of each one.

As you browse the recipes read all the comments that follow because the original recipe you see might be one that's tweaked later on in the thread. But think about what tastes good to you. Some of the absolute best are some of the easiest to make.

Here's a great idea go to the recipe request thread and request a simple recipe if something you like where there is a blueberry custard or strawberry yogurt or strawberry banana or Christmas cookies. But even better list the flavors you have on hand and ask someone to give you ideas using what you have so you don't have to buy any other flavors. If you have all the flavors it asked for to make the UM clone, you have plenty of stuff to make several recipes. You'll have more recipes to make than you will have materials at the end of the thread.

That is why I make my coils 1.8 ohm with 28 gauge Kanthal. 3mm wide. I replaced the drip tip to a more narrow drip tip and use the smallest air hole. This actually works. My first time I did burn myself, when I used the coil that came with (.5 ohm)

Do you have a backup recipe if the Unicorn milk gets bad? Should I just order"Jam Roly Poly" and mix that standalone? Or maybe something different?
I would prefer something shake and vape or steeping only one week and this point.

I have a few different versions of unicorn milk (none of them my own) but the one you're talking about is the only one I've mixed. You might like it as written, I just prefer less of a "bite" from the strawberry.
The jam roly poly is actually good as a standalone, though I have mixed it with Inawera Biscuit with good results, kind of a fruit cookie taste.. I also think it would be a good shake and vape with other fruits, maybe even coconut.
I'll fish through my recipes and pm you some other unicorn milk versions to try.

BUTTER CREAM (CAP)
GRAHAM CRACKER (CAP)
NEW YORK CHEESECAKE (CAP)
SWEET CREAM (CAP)
SWEET STRAWBERRY (CAP)
VANILLA BEAN ICE CREAM (CAP)
VANILLA CUSTARD (CAP)
COOKIE (FA)

EDIT: Maybe I should mention that I like some throat hit. I do 12mg and prefer around 50% VG
I would really prefer to use what I got since ordering new flavors would take to long. I'm desperate to vape a good E-liquid as soon as possible. Been struggling for months.

Look into weighing your ingredients instead of using syringes. Just recently switched to weighing with a 0.00g scale, it's so much more accurate.

Also, when you mix two or more flavors, it'll require steeping. 150 degrees for 4 hours. I also let my juices sit another 7 days after that in a dark place away from all sunlight.

You said you bought a funnel and measuring cylinder. Those are not necessary. Just place the ingredients into the bottle one at a time. This way you won't have any residual ingredients left on the measuring cylinder or funnel. If you're making a 30ml bottle, a single drop of flavoring can be a big difference.

Going 30% flavoring in a recipe is overkill and most likely will kill the juice. 20% is a good limit for all your flavorings combined.

Another factor affecting flavor is your build and/or tank. That's up to you to experiment though.

NY Cheesecake will work fairly well stand alone at 5-7% (3-7 day steep).
You can add just about anything above like...
1-2% Sweet Cream, 1-2% Vanilla Bean, 1-2% Butter Cream, 1-2% Vanilla Custard.
Or even all of them together.

Or

5-7% Vanilla Bean
2-3% Graham Cracker
2% Cookie
1% Vanilla Custard
1% Sweet Cream

Lots of possibilities even if you only use 2 or 3 flavors...
I've found when using lower amounts of Vanilla Custard it's cuts down on steep time.
But many of the CAP flavors should have a week anyway.

You'll get the hang of it, don't give up yet.

I'm planning to make 20ml E-juice into a 30ml bottle. That way it has some room so I can shake it. I bought a cylinder and a funnel since I saw a video on how to make E-juice.

The recipe I'm going to follow will use 16.5% flavor total. I'm positive about using a funnel and a cylinder when it comes to PG/VG and nicotine.

But for the flavor, I'm not sure yet, since some om them I just need in very small amounts.

My build: istick 50W. Subtank mini V2 (RBA section)
Making my coils with Kanthal A1 wire, 28 gauge, 1.8 ohm, 3mm wide.No spacing.
I use organic Japanese cotton.
Lowest air hole, and replaced the drip tip with a more narrow one. With this setup I can vape higher nicotine strength.

EDIT: What kind if a weight do you recommend? I'm not really up for to spend more money on DIY things, since I'm not that motivated to make DIY E-lequid since I have failed alot of times. I think a cylinder and syringes will do to make 20ml E-liquid.

Also how do I measure with a weight? I know how it works, but If I follow a recipe, I have no idea how much in weight the ingredient should be. It's not like water that 1 KG is 1 Liter, since flavor I guess is heavier and things like that.

Thanks for your reply. Do you know the difference between "Capella Vanilla Custard V1" and "Capella Vanilla Custard V2?
Some say stay away from V2, but another guy said V1 contains "diacetyl" If this is true, is it dangerous?

V1 tastes better than V2 for sure.
And many other flavors also contain Diacetyl, depending on brand & flavor.
Don't know if I'd say it's dangerous though, but maybe more like "inhalation warning".
Some try to avoid it, and some, like myself, don't.
Certainly safer than Tobacco, blah, blah, blah.
TFA Vanilla Custard might be an alternative but not sure if it has any or not, I don't bother even looking anymore, lol.
If it's a big concern, be sure to check what's in the flavors before buying.
Most all the FA flavors are clean, except the Kitchen Magic Line.
TFA has listed the things most of their flavors contain.
CAP has been adding V2 versions for many flavors, but again, like Sugar Cookie v1 is great but v2 is nasty IMO.

Yeah, at the moment I don't really care what's in the flavor. I will be more careful after i actually have made a successful E-juice.
I'm just trying to quit smoking, but I find it way to hard when I don't have a E-juice that tastes good.

When I first started I found out that my mom had a vape pen. She gave it to me, and she also had E-juice from "Hangsen" without nicotine.
I stayed away from smoking for 3 weeks before I ran out of E-juice. Since then I have been struggling with making a good E-juice and haven't stopped smoking since then. It has been 3-4 months now I think.

How much strawberry do you use in the Unicorn milk since it gets strong after steeping it for a month.
Also if I lower the strawberry flavor, should I increase the other flavors?

The recipe i will use.

I'm actually good with the strawberry at 7% with no changes in the other flavors. If that's too low for your tastes, you can always add more later.

Will try it with 7%. Do you have any advice on how to steep it fast? Since i don't have any flavors that is good with shake and vape, I would need to vape the Unicorn milk straight away. I don't have anything else, and I just received the flavors in the mail for the Unicorn milk.

Maybe hot water or something? How hot should it be, and how long should it be in the water?

No, I could only order the flavors for the "Unicorn milk", otherwise I would go over the custom limit and would have to pay extra 40-50 dollars.
I just made it 1 dollar under custom limit with the flavors I needed for the "Unicorn Milk"

Preheat the VG its not really steeping but it helps some flavors come through

I think you're right T. I dropped it to 6% on a batch made 10/21 and it needs a bump as the Strawberry is hiding. @Teresa P

@MrScaryZ @Teresa P I made a mistake when ordering. I got my flavors in the mail today. I checked them all, but not carefully enough I guess.
I started to make the "Unicorn milk clone"

I started of with nicotine, then PG and VG.
When I came to the second last flavor to add, I see I don't have "Vanilla bean ice cream"
I checked if something was wrong with the order. I ordered "Vanilla whipped cream" and not "Vanilla bean Ice cream"

I have no idea how I didn't notice it when I ordered. So I just replace the "Vanilla bean Ice cream" with "Vanilla whipped cream"
The recipe says I should only add 0.2 ml. Will this ruin the recipe? So basically I just replace "Vanilla bean ice cream" with Vanilla whipped Cream"

Everything else is just the same. This is the recipe I followed:

http://e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/255064/INTERNAL+LEAK+OF+CUTWOOK+UNICORN+MILK

I did some slightly changes to the recipe. I changed to 70 VG and 12 mg nicotine. The flavor amount doesn't get effected by that.

Your enthusiasm is enviable and encouraging. Stay with it because when you do stop smoking, your ability to taste all flavors will improve.

Look at all the people here rooting for you! :)

The weird part is that I quit for 3 weeks before I ran out of "Hangsen E-juice 0mg" that my parents had and didn't use. Right after I ran out of the E-juice I decided to do DIY. I have never made a good E-juice and couldn't stop smoking. This is my first time I actually follow a recipe, but I purchased a wrong flavor. I have no idea if it actually does matter since both are Vanilla flavors. They are just a bit different if you see my previous comment.

I'm about to clean my tank and rebuild it. Then I will try out the E-juice I made, and I really hope this is something I can vape on. It doesn't have to be great, as long it's not bad, I think I can do it again
