I've been using the herkles tank and i love it but im in need of a smaller box bod and an easier tank to fill to take to work and use in the car!

So can anyone suggest a good top fill subohm tank!?

Thanks!

The OBS T-VCT is a great top fill tank, no leaks, holds 6 ml, and has an available RBA deck. OBS just released the new Crius top side fill tank and it's straight RTA. I'm planning on buying a couple of them.

Yes, the T-VCT comes with a .5, and .25 ohm coils in the box. There is also a .3 ohm Ni200 coil available for TC operation.

The only top fill I have experience with is the Smok TVF4 and I love it. My vape neighbor (with vastly more experience) said his TVF4 was the easiest and best top fill he has ever owned. Just my 2 cents...

I'm completely in love with my Tobeco sub tank rdas, but as the name implies, it's an rda build, no pre-built coils.

I have to add my vote for Uwell Crown subtank. I have been using it for months now and not a single problem

I have the TFV4 and think it's an ok tank. Sure not an RDA, but it's fairly closer than the other sub tanks I have tried. I have not tried the crown.

Coils are pricey, imo, for the TFV4.

I used this at work, but I need to find something else, or change my pg/vg ratio. People think my shit is on fire in my work area. I don't just pull one rip, it's usually 3 or 4.

I have two crown tanks and love them, also have four subtanks and two isub g's that are ok. today igot my tfv4 in the mail. only used the triple coil so far and it is on par with the crown. Have to use it with diff coils and see how it goes. I use the rba with the sub tanks and like im up to 35 watts, the crow is about the same , i bought the tfv4 hoping two get a little more power for the rba as i like to build my own coils. I also ordered the duel deck.

Crown and Super Tanks are the best for taste and value. The TFV4 tank is a great tank but it does eat juice and the coils are expensive. For me I don't vape my tfv4 that much but the coils only last about 3-5 days and I have used the triple and quad and sextuplet coils. The sextuplet coils actually lasted me longer however I get no real taste from them since it mutes the flavor of the juices. That is my experience from the tfv4 tank so in short I think the super tank by Tobecca is the best option and Crown the second. The nickel coils for the super tanks is just out of this world and if you like Rocketman try that with the supertank .1 nickel coils. 400 degrees at 60 watts on a snowwolve would leave you chain Vaping like no tomorrow.

I too vouch for the Crown. Just picked one up the other day (the black one witch is sleek and stands out above the others compared to all the plain stainless ones i own.) It prob the best subtank I've used to date and with it coming with not 2 but 3 coils and a spare glass for 35 bucks you can't beat that deal (I've heard from several reviews and people that the pre made coils are lasting around a month. I also got the RBA section for it witch works pretty well (had to play around with the wicking a lil bit to get it not to dry hit) Love my RDAs but I also love the convenience of a tank expecially a top fill like this one.

Nancy, are you a big fan of the Vape wild stuff ? I am waiting for my first sample pack from them to arrive, hopefully tomorrow.

My vote has to go to the TFV4 ! Awesome tank, fuck those quad and sextuplet coils tho !

Single coil RBA with a 10 wrap 28g nickel setup .18 ohms running my Evic @ 40 watts around 450-470f depending on the juice and it is 10 times better than the premades.

VW has some good juices. I like the Havana Bourbon, Smurfcake, Dandy Caramel, Peachy Keen, Yummy Bear, and Raspberry.

After some talking with 2 of my friends that work at a local shop i decided to go with the magnus tank and once i get non TC coils (i bought the NI verson that came with 2 NI coils go figure that was my stupidity haha but it apparently supports the non NI coils) i feel ill live this thing! Im not huge on TC but i like the vape i get from it vs the TC in my herkles (which to me sucks) so we'll see how that goes!

My 1 friend had the crown and the other had the magnus and after a few comparison vapes i ended up liking the magnus more. The air flow on this thing is HUGE haha way different than my herkles tank so its taking some time to fine tune it

You might take a look at the Eleaf Melo 2.

Large top fill port. Very easy to refill without making a mess.
4.5 ml tank capacity
Takes Eleaf EC coil heads and a rebuildable ECR coil coming out soon
Kanthal, Ti and Ni coils availble
100% pure cotton wicking in all coils
Easy disassembly for cleaning
Comes with .3 ohm Kanthal coil, .15 ohm Ni coil, and .5 ohm Ti coil.

Got mine with a iStick 60w TC mod. You should be able to get the Melo 2 for under $25.00. I got the kit for just under $50.00.

Complaints first - it should come with a spare glass tank but it doesn't. After a while the air control ring spins a little too easily if the o-ring friction gets juice on it. The drip tip sometimes feels a bit too short. Not a cloud chaser's dream (see below).

Pros - Very clean out of the box, no oil or machining left overs. Fit and finish is flawless. It can use some Aspire coils if you can't find the Eleaf coils. Can be used for MTL with non TC coils. TC mode extends battery life and conserves juice. Flavor is good, cloud production is reasonable for a sub tank. Very sleek modern styling. A lot of bang for the buck.

My 2 cents

As a Herakles fan, wonder how the .25 coil vapes in the Meganus aka Starre? I see the 0.5 is only rated to 60w, therefore my curiosity. As a Crown owner, good move you chose other, until all the coil issues get worked out. Great as it is, the Herk is a beast for work or car. The Melo V2 and Aeolus also on my watch list for this purpose, though those 2 are not at all alike.

imbusing the .25 NI coil which is rated at 80w and the .15 NI is 120w but im using the ipv4s which uses joules so id what im doing with that xD

I rarley go over 40watts in power mode so ill probably get the .5 when is time to switch but is so easy to fill!

I love the herk but it's a pain to fill so i use it at home! Im liking this tank as a wirj tank!

It eats juice like any sub ohm tank does but with the top fill it makes it an eaze to refill especially when using a plastic dropper bottle (120ml glass bottle i bought to mix my DIY is a pain in the ass with both so i mix it and pour into a 30ml bottle lmao)

I will second the plug for this tank. I also own the Crown, TFV4, Triton, Atlantis2 x2, Subtank Mini, and Smok TCT and while some of these may produce a little more vapor or flavor (except the TFv4 which is almost another league but destroys juice at an ungodly rate) the Melo 2 is super convenient having what I feel is the best implementation of top fill out of all the top fillers I have. The machining is top notch and the performance of the stock coil (running the .3 ohm currently) is really good.

Sorry - I did immediately put an Atlantis .3 SS coil in it as the wicking holes are larger - nice that it accepts both though so just about any B&M is likely to have a new coil in a pinch for you.

anyone here own the SMOK TFV4 mini? I'm considering this tank and would love to hear some of your thoughts about it.

Don't own the Mini but the Mini is just a 22mm version of the normal, smaller tank other than that no differences (same coils and everything).

For the TFv4, love it, but quick Pros/Cons as far as I'm concerned.

Pros - premade coils are simply absurd, large RBA decks, and tons of coil options
Cons - premade coils are simply absurd, wicking can be a bit tricky, premade coils are expensive, and premade coils eat a ton of juice.

To elaborate, obviously I put the same thing for the first of both. I do that because personally I find it a con, but I could easily see people considering it a positive thing. It's a huge amount of juice, large cloud, but it's a bit airy for me, even closing down the air intake it's still not the experience I enjoy. That's in reference to the quad coil mainly (I killed my triple really quick with this gunky delicious juice). However the RDA decks are amazing, running a dual 26g twisted setup at .2 ohms with 95w right now and it's a nice thick big cloud of awesomeness. That said when wicking it you have to get it right, not enough cotton and you're gonna get some leaks, not too hard to get it right, but then you also have to replace said cotton somewhat regularly otherwise you'll start filling a tank and boom it flows out the bottom.

Basically it's a tank I'd highly recommend if you're willing to put in a little work, OR if you want large clouds and aren't concerned by the density as much. If neither of those sound like you're preference from what I hear there are better options. For me it's suiting my needs perfectly. I can go with a dual or single vertical coil and get a very nice vape out of it, or I can ramp up the ohms a bit (.5-1ohm) and toss it on one of my sleeker mods for a more on the go experience. If I just want some massive tasty clouds I can toss on that quad coil and let it rip at 140w without any issues. One word should be associated with this tank, and that is versatility. Whatever your preference, with a little work you can make it do what you want. And if you're looking for sheer power, well it has that with it's premade coils, just be aware that it's on the airy side and your juice reserves will dwindle quickly.

Anyways, for me it's absolutely perfect, but I can see why many prefer something like the Crown. I'll be picking up a Mini as soon as I get my new wire in if I don't hear about an actual release date for the black before then (fasttech is anything but fast).
