Hello everyone. I wanted to let y'all know what's been going on and why I haven't been around that much. I think a few of you already knew that my ex had pancreatic cancer and dealt with it for 5 very long years. I've been sitting with him a lot just shooting the shit and just talking about random things and the "remember when we...." conversations. I'm sad to say that he lost his battle this morning. We were together a long time but had become really close as friends. We shared a child and 2 granddaughters and I've had to try to be strong for them. It's been really hard for my daughter because in the past 3 years she's lost her grandparents and now her dad. Yes, my mom was sick and I was her caregiver. It was expected but still painful. 14 months later my dad unexpectedly died. I lost my parents within a 14 month span but Heather also lost her grandparents. Now she's lost her dad. I'm extremely worried that this might put her in a bad state of mind as she has a few addictions that she's currently trying to deal with as well. I hate that I'm always posting bad news or need help with something. It will take some time but I hope to get back on track with things and join in the conversation on here on a happier note. Yeah I am going to have to make another order soon then. I have to try the tri coil and quad coils first though, but i plan to go ahead and order a pack of ti, and the dual rba.

Yes gold stars are going out of your way to do something special for someone. I announce each week on the weekend who the gold star and random post winner is, but both weeks the gold star had a tie... We have such awesome ppl in here!!. I explained it in the announcement post of this thread, I think it is the 3rd post.

Hey Nick, you said that you can't take a cold vape but you have a TC device coming. Just wondering which device you ordered. I've got an SX mini M class and an Istick TC40 and in my experience they both give a cool vape in TC mode. It wasn't till I got the Sigelei 150TC and was able to go up to 100 joules that I was finally able to get that nice warm vape that I'm used to. I was actually kinda disappointed with TC untill I got the Sigelei. Just tryin to look out for you, brother.

It's true what u say about the istick TC40.. My 1st TC mod was the ipv3li,pretty good vape but I like kanthal & gplat (u can TC gplat at a low temp 212°-220° around 40-50J) but I tried my friends istick & that teeny thing did nothing for me lol with kanthal its alright tho.. They have a TC60 coming out I believe,anyone heard bout that?

Not trying to start a War or anything I know everyone is partial to one device or another... but I felt that my input could be beneficial in this...

I have not tried the Sigelei or any other TC mod so don't jump to the conclusion that I'm bashing any other TC device... But, my experience with my istick TC 40w has been just fine in TC mode... depending on the resistance of the coil and the temperature that I've set on the istick I wouldn't say I've had any issues getting a warm vape...I can get a warm, very warm and even hot vape off of it depending on the build.

One thing I will say about the istick (again lack of experience with other mods) is that the ramp up time is a little more than I'd like

Oh hell man, no war started.... not even a ruffled feather. Maybe you can help me like the Istick 40 even more, @VapnJake . I love the size of it and the fact that you can change the temp on the fly without clicking five times... clicking more until you get to the temp setting... more clicking to the temp you want... more clicking to the exit screen... five more clicks to access the menu screen again to readjust the temp.... The Istick saves a lot of clicks, but if I take a 0.13ohm coil from my Istick at 600° 40W and put it on the Sigelei 150TC at 500° 100J it just seems to be a more satisfying warmth, if that makes any Sense (no Herakles intended) see what I did there @Geauxst ;). Anyway, I love this little thing in power mode with an Atlantis 0.5ohm coil. What build would you recommend for that hot vape?

I'm getting a satisfying vape using a .11 Ohm 28 gauge spaced coil build of 10 wraps on a 2.5 mm mandrel set to 500 on my iStick TC40W. It's warm without burning anything...

Edit: this is in a V2 Anyvape Atlantis RBA deck tucked into an Atlantis V1.

I also find that shutting down the airflow on TC mods aids things a bit... wicking and warmth.

i believe the system is post based. Once you hit bronze status like 250 posts it shouldn't say that anymore.

Ironically it's been awhile since I've used it in TC mode... basically because of the slow ramp up time... But I was using a IJust2 atty with the .15 ohm coils, they put out a medium to warm vape but I built a ni200 coil and put it in a rba deck on my kanger subtank I forget now what the ohm load was I believe around .5ohms and I could barely vape it above about 480 degrees because it was so warm...

I can't complain, I just got off work and was announced by the wife that she's not working today so I get to spend the day with her, which is very very rare during the week!

She has an "on call" status one week out of the month and doesn't get financially reimbursed... so they take a "free" day off of their choosing during the month to kind of off set their lack of payment for being on call...

i had almost 2 k after a month of getting into some damn post wars in the contest sections lol. I have definitely been talking more thank playing though for a while now. I was a posting fool though for about 5 weeks.

I got a bit over excited in the games, but to be honest i did meet good people playing them, and some not so real people too. I still have a problem with people who somehow find their first posts in a contest. I always tend to think they are giveaway accounts. I mean when i first came here i was on vaping watch, and yeah she does random giveaways, but i didn't even know it, It was about a week of posting questions and talking to people before i got sucked into the spam games. Just part of being anonymous though I guess. Also why i noticed some of the spammers disappear after a win never to show up again.

They're more going after the vaping community because like everything else a few people spoil it for everyone. They say now people are vaping liquid thc, Balt salts and just about anything that can get you high I first saw that on Twitter and I said well good thing I make my own juice and I guess the ordinance goes beyond just selling it but also using it in methuen which is like 15min but more towns and cities are getting ready to adopt something very similar
One time I was pulled over and they where about to get the drug lab out to my car because they saw a vape it was crazy good thing I had the bottle and it was the same color of what was inside the tank

I think being uneducated about vaping plays a factor, but i agree with dawn about those who ruin it for everyone else. Of course the end game is to get more taxes on it. It is inevitable that it will eventually be the case everywhere. I think its also fear of the unknown. People will naturally see you are smoking a pipe, not vaping a mod. I think vaping etiquette should also be observed. I mean if i am walking down the street and someone is blowing smoke all in my face while I am walking that is annoying AF, and yet, if i was walking down the street vaping, and someone who didn't know that was what I was doing was behind me it might be just as annoying. Not to mention some people are allergic. I think the vapeholes and the kids vaping are also ruining it for the responsible people here. Now don't get me wrong. if I am outside and the wind is working with me I will vape away, but when i know my vapor is going to cross someone elses path i tend to not do it there. I find a more isolated spot to do it from, but unlike before i choose to let people see me do it. i have nothing to hide and if i did i wouldnt be doing it in the open. So i feel at those times it might be the thing someone needs to see to possibly think' hmm maybe i should try one of those e cigarettes- i actually hate that term- totally nothing in common. Might as well call them nicotine machines

I did those for a little bit as well... kind of fun I might add...

I have a problem with the first posters being in the PIF Section asking for people to send them everything... I understand some people fall on hard times and I find it pleasing to be able to help but I despise helping someone that wont help themselves...

Like i have seen someone in PIF thread whose first post was wanting free juice and then like 5 posts later it was the same thing. I have been pifd stuff that i asked for recently about DIY well it isn't out yet, but someone is going to be kind enough to send me some things she isn't using and/or doesn't like, and I will be super happy to be able to experiment with that. I have to put in an order for pg/vg/nic, but i can't wait to start trying.

I will say that being PIF'D will always leave me with a feeling of needing to do the same to others if i have something they might need, but i definitely do not agree that you join up here and start begging. Hell there are mods and juice galore on this site that people will never vape, but it doesn't mean they are all going to toss them out for anyone to grab. To be totally honest I would rather help someone I have had somekind of interaction with than a member on day one asking for everything under the sun. When i have accumulated extra items I will pif all my old stuff to people I know or on this site.
