Jury still out on e-cigarettes as cessation aid, U.S. doctors are too stupid, greedy, or both to see the writing on the wall.

In other news e-cigarettes are considered cessation aids in the UK

Just waiting for a head count of all the Brits who've dropped dead, I'm sure.
This reminds me of the great debate a few years ago over ordering generic prescription drugs from Canada. Congress was fit to be tied over the prospect of getting those scrips outside the U.S. because we "wouldn't know what we were getting" and the majority voted against it. Senator Bill Frist, who happens to be a renowned cardiologist, got pretty hot under the collar and demanded to see all the dead Canadians.....

So if there is no significant difference between ecig with or without nicotine and the nic patch. That could argue that either ecigs are a cessation device or that nic patches are not a cessation device and are falsely advertised and promoted. They can't have it both ways.

i would never have quit without ecigs, now i'm healthier and have a new hobby!
