Just a warning that this flavour may be addictive people. I vaped 50 mls of it in 4 days and that was while I was experimenting and trying several other flavours. It's just too good. :D

Damn, this sounds amazing! Going to have to see what all I need to order to make this- I know I have a good deal of the ingredients either already, or enroute.

How does the crust portion hold up on its own? I'm looking for a solid crust to use in a peach cobbler type vape. (Initially why I checked out the thread);)

The crust flavor in FA Apple Pie is stronger than the apple part. So I've often used a small amount of Apple Pie in recipes like this. Cookie boosts the crust flavor, so I often use them together. As long as you have other strong enough flavors (white peach would sure work) or flavors that won't mind a little sweet apple (peach qualifies there) it works well.

Thanks for your recipies HiC! Really enjoying them. :)

I was thinking about, if i can substitute FA Fresh Cream with TFA Barvarian Cream or TFA Cream? My vendor dosen't have Fresh Cream in stock sadly, have asked for it. But they couldn't give me an ETA. :/

I wouldn't expect that would wreck anything, but I haven't personally tried it. Make a small batch and let us know?

The TFA Bavarian should work pretty well, hardest part will be dialing it in on where it needs to be. I'd start pretty low, since its a cream, as it steeps it'll do its thing, don't' want to overshoot the sweet spot. If you do just a shake and vape, it won't change too much. It all depends on how much you make and how long it survives!

I tried making this but a rhubarb meringue pie basically halving the custard and taking out the lime and lemon sicily. The rhubarb is a UK vendors concentrate that is quite nice but very weak (they deffo dilute down branded concentrates from my experiences..so no surprise!) so I actually gambled on 10% and thankfully it has worked. I also did the vienna cream addition as rhubarb is so sharp and wow it is very nice! The meringue part is pretty much spot on meringue. I dont know if this happens with your lemon version but the strange thing is I seem to get more rhubarb than anything else, more meringue or more crust each time i inhale it? Which is actually good as it seems to give even more of a feeling of actually eating a pie :)

Play with the wattage/ voltages too, the differences end up being even more pronounced!

Hi!

I'm pretty new into full time vaping, but i dove into diy a while ago after trying some commercial juices.

This recipe sounds great, i will have to try it if i can find all the flavors in my country.

I have read several posts about the dominant crust flavor in FA Apple pie so when i ordered flavors i ordered FA Apple pie, FA Apple and FA mixed citrus. However i'm not able to get good crust flavor when i make a batch. I have even tried making a batch with 10% apple pie, 6mg nic, 50/50 pg/vg but i dont taste the crust so much... Is cookie the only way to boost the crust or am i doing something wrong? Tried a couple of days steeping but that didn't boost the crust.

I've tried "Oh my lemon pie" from liquidvoyage, and there i could really taste the crust, that's the crust flavor i want to achieve.

of FA's Apple Pie? 10% is way too much. It's full strength at 3%, good flavor at 2%. And yes, Cookie does emphasize the crust part.

Yes tried with 10% FA apple pie in one of my batches when i couldn't taste the crust.

Tried 5% in my first batch, but i wasn't satisfied so i added a couple of drops of FA Apple and FA mixed citrus.

In the second batch i tried with a total of 10% flavoring: â…” FA apple pie and â…“ FA Apple.

In the third i tried with 10% FA apple pie and no other flavors.

In the fourth 5% flavoring: 4% FA apple pie and 1% FA mixed citrus. 70/30 vg/pg.

I think i'll have to buy me some cookie flavor then.

Here's a simple recipe that really brings out great crust flavor from FA Apple Pie: http://vapingunderground.com/threads/hics-sugary-almond-apple-tart-simple-variations.13178/
Thanks for the tip!
Yeah i saw that recipe of yours a couple of days ago and it looked delicious, so i ordered marzipan along with the other ingredients from this recipe from flavourart's online store.

A user in another forum recommended the pie crust flavor from one on one flavors, so ordered a bottle of crust flavor from them too.

Hi HIC,
This recipe looks delicious and I'd like to try it out but I have a problem that I hope you could help me with.

Whenever I use a lime, orange, lemon, tangerine concentrate, I get a really harsh throat hit. It is only when I use these citrusy/tangy flavors that I get this harsh throat hit and it's impossible for me to vape it then.
Do you have any recommendation on how to "fix" this problem?

With FA Lemon Sicily, too?
Haven't tried that yet. It was more like a general problem since I found many of your recipes interesting and have a couple I'd like to try out, which includes some concentrate that I'm afraid will have this affect on me, the orange tic tac for instance.

FA Orange and FA Lemon Sicily are their two mildest citrus, IMO less "sharp" than most other brands' versions of those flavors. Not less strong, but less harsh. If even Lemon Meringue Pie hurts your throat, I'd say just avoid all the citrus flavors. :(

Hmm, I'll give them a try and see how it goes.
Thank you so much for your recipes. I'm about to mix a lot of them

Oh okay, I can only load 15 or something but just found out you have a theme for today or is it a mistake that I can't load all of them?
It's rotating sets, so there are always about that many, and the listings (and theme) change Monday, Wednesday, Friday.

lol - that's just fine. I can PM or post links to any of them, but some displays choke if too many are listed at once.

Hi HIC, thanks for the recipe! Mixed a 30mL batch on Monday, seems a little shy on the lemon/lime to me (my 3-4 vape buddies agree). Any way to boost the lemon's punch without overpowering the meringue and crust (which is great, by the way)? Great recipe nonetheless. :)

Want more lemon, just add more. Meringue isn't easily overpowered.

So I finally ended up with the stuff to do this with.. Whipped up 20ml and tried it. Awesome... So I figured I may let it steep. In the process of reading this thread and a few others, I found myself saying let me test it once more.. Well, 6 ml gone in what seems to be no time flat, I just realized something. I'm gonna need a bigger bottle... Hmm, I know I have some 60ml boston rounds around here somewhere...

Great job @HeadInClouds!

When I was a kid one thing I liked about as much as lemon meringue pie was chocolate. Will this translate to that by using the meringue pie base and some Chocolate (FA)?

I don't think so. If you try that, make the smallest possible batch.

HIC thank you for such a great recipe. This tasted so good. I personally don't do the trial size. I go for the whole 30ml every time I make a recipe and I'm, glad I did with yours. Tasted just like LMP. I do however wish I made 60 mls now instead of 30. I never used FA flavorings until I started reading your post, everybody seems to say get Capella or TFA or others. So I'm glad I started reading this thread. I love the vanilla nut coffee and a few others I have tired.
I must say though since starting to read your recipes I have spent a small fortune on these flavors as I was only buying the other brands. Of course my hubby just now shakes his head and goes with the flow when I say look at this recipe that HIC has and now I need this flavor..lol but thank you for the awesome shares as it's very much appreciated.

I love this recipe. I used this to make a delicious Coconut cream pie that I can't put down. With your permission HIC(Chef), I would love to post it as a new recipe to share for everyone to try. Of course giving you credit from where it originated.

Now I'm going to have to wait patiently for Squonk to post a coconut cream pie that HIC had. Sounds good and if it's anything like the rest of HIC's recipes I will be thrilled.. Okay Squonk where are ya??? Sqonk where are ya? Don't hide from us now..I have been waiting..lol

No, not one I had - one Squonk has made. I never posted a coconut cream pie recipe.
Guess I read that wrong. Thought you made it that is why Sqounk was asking permission to post it and give credit where it originated. So I just thought it was your. but when Squonk post it I will try it anyways. Need new glasses soon or brain. think glasses would be easier..lol

No hurry I can wait. not making any new juice in the next couple of days as I have so many now made..lol And it's been hot and I have no A/C in my kitchen so waiting for it to cool down before I start mixing.

I could never handle using drops a a method of measurement. I tried but so many different size drops my OCD would drive me nuts. !!! I bought some 1ml syringes and I was much more comfortable. They are cheap and very accurate. I just bought a scale for measuring. Not so much for the accuracy but for the lack of cleanup afterward. Scale was only $12 and I've spent alot more than that on syringes. ( actually I bought 2 scales. OCD again) Hey wait a minute those batteries only last about a couple years. Better put batteries on my list !! LOL

If you don't mind me asking, where did you get a $12 scale? I would sure like to grab one
