100% vegetable glycerin. Does it say USP or anhydrous anywhere on it?

If there are no other ingredients in it, I would think so, but I couldn't find anything specific about that brand, even at that website. Where did you get it?

No, don't. Use flavor concentrates, not stuff like that. There are tons of vendors that sell the proper flavorings.

LMAO I see that. You really can do so much better than LorAnn. They're not very good at all, ask me how I know, lol. Patience will pay off. There are so many great vendors available with super fast shipping, great prices, etc... and PROPER ingredients. If you have a CVS, Walmart or RiteAid nearby, they will likely have the safer VG you're looking for. You can get that online, too. You want one that says USP or anhydrous on the label. If purchasing from an ecig vendor you'll get the right one. Leave that store right now, Rades!! LMAO

Makes total sense. That VG might be ok, but stay on the safe side. As long as I'm on, I'm happy to help. If I'm not on, I know others will chime in. Look in the First Aid section of Walmart near the pharmacy. If not in stock, check CVS or Rite Aid. Walgreens doesn't stock it, as far as I know.

I surly don't want to discourage your shopping. But, imo this is where it's a good thing to be a sheeple. Follow what others use on this site. Buy quality ingredients, your vaping this stuff.
I do agree with this. With that said, in a pinch, I've used the pharmacy stuff. Never had any problems with it. It's not what I use frequently, at all. I generally get mine from BCV.

Always pay attention to the label if you ever go back for more at the drug store.

A couple of months ago when I was first starting out with DIY I bought VG from CVS, and it was USP and everything. Worked great, nothing unpleasant... So when I ran out I bought some more. Only I noticed it did not specify USP anymore even though the sku# was the same, label looked the same, etc... Well, let me tell you there's a difference. While it was odorless and seemed to be the same, it had a funky taste hidden in the background when you vape it. Threw everything I mixed out of whack for a few days before I figured it out. At that point I realized I will just buy from my online vendor when I start running low.

What about the PG from Tractor Supply - any good? It says USP on the label, but it's also labeled "Not For Human Consumption". It's only $22.99/gallon and it would save me a TON on shipping. The ONLY thing labeled in the ingredients list is "Propylene Glycol USP". I generally vape 70V/30P or higher, so it would last quite a long time.*

*Until my Tobeco Turbo V2 gets here - that thing's gonna suck some juice! :D

The small LorAnne bottles look just like the type you buy from DIY vape stores if you buy loranne flavorings.

But really I'd rather just buy the stuff from a reputable shop like myfreedom smokes or esigexpress i think it is....not worth risking your health with someone that is not food grade or otherwise.

Anyone have any experience with the Tobacco line from Capella? After vaping for a month I've come to the conclusion tobacco is my favorite vape flavor, after quitting cigs I just can't do anything else (except for menthol flavor here and there)

I have tried a pretty popular DIY artificial tobacco...was among the best sellers when i checked tobacco flavorings...it's western cowboy from TFA. Never tried capella but a simple recipe I thought was decent was 4% this plus 4% capella marshmellow. Sounds odd but it wasnt bad.

I'm a tobacco junkie so when I vape tobacco i almost exclusively vape NETs (extracted tobacco).

I recommend goodejuice as a great starting NET vendor to get a feel for NET liquids.

Awesome I'll check it out, I'll report back on the Capella (should be here tomorrow and I'll mix up a batch as soon as I get it) think I'm gonna start with 2 15ml bottles, one with 20% flavor and one with 25% and I'll see how it goes.

I made a strawberry flavor out of lorann this weekend, and although it tasted awesome and I might use it from time to time, there's nothing that beats a nice warm vape that's tobacco flavored, for me anyways

Agreed with @Artemis here...20% on any tobacco is gonna be nearly unvapabe in like 24hrs. Once that steeps even a little, it's gonna taste more like drain cleaner!

Definitely try it at 5% first mate! You can always add more if needed, much much more difficult to dillute it.

What cap's flavors did you pick up?

If you can afford it I would grab up the ED offer.
I forgot about that one. I just ordered the 1 gal./ea special with free shipping. Coupon code EDPC10 for 10% off. Came to $39.26.
Thanks for reminding me! :D

IMHO I would just hold out and purchase high quality ingredients from reputable vendors.
As mentioned already, you are vaping this stuff so it would behoove one to vape only the best. Again, only my opinion.

I bought the fresh tobacco and menthol. So if I start out at 5% how do I add it if it's not strong enough? If it's already mixed in my 15ml bottle?

Just add a few drops to the bottle once its mixed, just be SURE to make a note of it so once you find your sweetspot on flavor, you know how to make it again. Use a Juice Claculator as well for the mixing, will take out a LOT of the guesswork. My advice would be to start at 5%, and do the math so you know how many mils/ drops/ grams (if using a scale) 5% is, then I wouldn't add more than a 0.5% each time. Especially with Menthols. Those can get crazy strong crazy fast.
Also worth noting that tobaccos really want a steep, so what tastes light when you mix it fresh might be perfect in a week, and what tastes perfect fresh might be unvapable in a week.

Adding in drops or mils after you've already mixed it will dilute the actual amount of nicotine, but it shouldn't really matter all that much, as you will hardly notice 1% less nic in the overall mix. (Unless you're sensitive to it, then you might)

I can't stress enough at using a juice calc though, and avoiding the "measuring by drops" method if you can, as its so wildly inaccurate. What strength is your nicotine base, out of curiosity?

For tobaccos I stick with Inawera (Tobacco absolutes are included as well.) and Hangsen for a true tobacco taste when synthetic doesn't kick it. Right now I'm on a Hangsen Drum kick. I think I bought the last bottle at BCV (bull city vapes). I'm also enjoying a Gold n silver flavor as well. Tobacco flavors is what I truly love. I started vaping in 2010 and will vape tobacco flavors 95% of the time.
The drum actually tastes like the shag?

First, good luck with that VG, when I tried that exact one it tasted HORRIBLE! Others have used it without issue. That is the same loranns you'd get from a diy shop. Loranns just sucks in general though. Lol

If we are talking about the wal-mart vg it certainly sucks. It has a very soapy taste to it. I still have a old bottle downstairs I saved to make soap with.
The only Loranns I use is the Cream Cheese frosting and I'm phasing that one out. When it's gone-it's gone. SIL loves it but she's not buying the product.
Yup that's what I got. The Humco stuff. Walmart, CVS, rite-aid all same shit.

I found a place locally and I love them. The only thing is I save on shipping, get a decent hike and see a part of town normally over looked.
Last time I found a lot with wild fennel, a few eateries worth of note, a couple of interesting parks.

USDA and FDA rules are the only reason it is not labeled as USP. They get the VG it crosses the threshold in sealed unopened bottles it by some unknown bureaucratic voodoo the USP grade disappears. Still sealed, unopened not tampered with just cannot be sold with the USP widget.

There's a whole responsibility that comes with vaping. Even more that comes with DIY. Buy from a reputable vendor that specializes in Ecig merchandise whether it be Hardware or DIY for coil building, making juices or whatever. Reading is not only fundamental but it's a must. Some things aren't worth trying to cut corners on. Just mho..

Rite Aid does have it - it's in the skin care section (with bandaids and such). Plenty of people start out with that VG. Once you're more used to DIY you'll need much bigger bottles and you can explore other options.
