yea the size of the VS is perfect to me i wouldn't want a box mod too big!
I think the next size up is Hana at 950mah then hcigar and cloudmaker at 1300.
I was really digging the littup customs, its a 2k mah but it looks huge

Those are slick, they look awesome, and are 1800mah, if they fix the 510 and the fire button it wouldn't be bad at all. I saw they fixed the 510, but they didn't say anything anout the fire button

Yeah well, I know they are coming to vs n batches of a few hundred, plus they were planning on delays from Erika, so hopefully it'll go a bit quicker

It happens with every preorder that I've seen with vaping, the ipv's, coopers, even private had a backup with the p3 and they are USA made.
With something coming from over sea's you have to figure all the logistical issues than can happen. When even one envelope from fasttech can get delayed uo to 3-4 weeks, consider that with mods and batteries coming from china in groups of 300-1000. Then they have to unpackaged them, and repackage them to, ship to the end user.
Its not like they are amazon and have robots doing the packaging they are actually kind of small, every time I call I get Vincent or Felipe, and having 6 dna40s I called a lot, and got 1 of 2 people, so you know they aren't a huge company, to get 5000 mods from chine, to them to an end user is a pretty tall order for a handful of people. Even if they did hire temp staff....which they did.
I know at one point on the 40s they were overestimating, then another bug popped up loll

now I'm kicking myself because i really don't want to have to wait till the end of september!!
I wish I could tell you that it would be sooner but I can't. All I can say is having the mod, it is worth it. Take the 40, and make that finish a little sleeker, the charge time a little faster and the mod be half the weight but feel like its made twice as nice.

Totally happy I jumped at this, had decided that needed something over 120w, though 90% under 30. Very happy with my small D2 and VT, been watching the DNA200's and many seemed very large. Could have saved $40 and went with something else, but always wanted a VaporShark. In 15th soon as saw someone post the pre-order went inside and pulled trigger. Would have been unhappy to wait until end of September.

Just kind of nature of a pre-order. Get soon and risk flaws or wait for reviews and wait longer. On prior devices who cares, this gets up there. US based company, good to go. Monday should have mine.

yea I'm usually

yea I'm usually at work for 8+ hrs and i work outside so i don't really have time to charge anything, i just love the build quality on the VS i was one of the early adopters of the rdna 40 and was just pissed about the whole board situation, thats mainly why i was waiting to pull the trigger!!
Ya, but if you pickup extra lipo for 20-30, you get the smaller device and can swap out as needed, also the mention of external USB power was good for quick charge during day if needed. During work totally happy keeping lower key a d TC, blowing things up with high watts fun at times. Don't feel drawing that much with Ti or Ni builds.

that is most likely what i will wind up doing unless they just come out with a big lipo!!

I am just waiting for yihi's answer to the dna200 and escribe, because that is the main feature that interests me in terms of the dna200, being able to upload different TCR for different wires.I am jealous that @f1r3b1rd can vape SS wire in TC and my d2 and 3li cant, but since the 3li is upgradable, maybe that feature is coming.

I am considering a VS 200. I considered a Whiteout because the modular concept sounds cool but the box looks kind of bleh, probably why I am procrastinating on finding a good dual batt sxj.

The only commercially available versions I found was boxer, signature tips, and vapor lips. the last being the one that appealed to me most, but the quote I got was 270$; knowing they'll be a new chip out in another year or sooner, I couldn't do it. that's where the modular design really grabs me. hopefully it'll work out and I'll feel compelled on the dna version.
Honestly as much as I love the toys, I'm mind of sick of seeing something I buy go obsolete in a few months

I have seen a lot of hammond styles like the ones sold on Varitube, and then I too found the Signature Tips which looks good but like you said a new board will be out before long which is why again the Whiteout is appealing assuming the next board can fit.
The boxer is getting mixed reviews because the plastic feel no doubt is hit or miss.

For now the dna200 is next in my sights and I will probably pull the trigger before to much longer but I keep hoping a new comer with a better batt will surface. The footprint for the VS looks great though.

They are making it dual battery compatible up to 133w now so I'm sure (assuming the board isn't glitchy) that will get really popular.
This site has links to the commercially available mods

http://vaping360.com/dna-200-box-mods/

Edit: after fiddling in Escribe the highest I have my boost set is for a dual Clapton nickel build and that's at 140w everything else is between 90-120, and I'm a 65-80w vapor normally

Thanks for the link. I have seen most all of those but it is nice to see them all on one page. I am trying to give it time to see how big the Whiteout actually is in hand before I decide which 200 it is. Sounds like Evolv made it back into your good graces with the 200 though.

On a off topic did you ever send your M to OCD? My M has an ugly scratch on it and the damn sleeve came out to late.

Your oompaloompa might have struck.. Lol. On Friday went from dropped off to another facility showing Monday delivery, shows not moved since Friday. No big deal should at least be this week.

You're in good company, in eve shipment 9 from vs, 2 from vapinart and several others- I've been oompa'd every time except twice now.

How did that warranty for finish work out? Was it a hassle? I imagine they will tell me my issue is/was my fault and not covered by warranty. I would love it if mine was swapped out because the scratch is ugly. I swapped out the wife's recently because the batt tube threading was wonky.

Pretty easy, I emailed the costumer service and they asked for a pic of the mod and vendor, replied w with an RMA,i then emailed vapimart and they swapped it out.
The mod was only a few months old at the time and it couldn't be easier. that was before the slims were released and the thing still looks new

Thank you, probably not get regular use until I have a skin. My D2 that was supposed to have skin took fall in first 24 hours. I am very careful, but need skin before it makes it to pocket. Putting on charger now, but big work deadlines will prevent much play. More desk use at work that have to keep low key.

I am really going to like this, shocked at the small size and how good it feels, hardly a chance to mess around though did hit a Ti coil with 100W having no idea if in temp mode or not.. Lol (not thrilled about that one at all). Looking forward to getting hooked up with escribe and more use.

hahaha!!! tell me that finish is not rich feeling! Its also ALOT tougher than the last generation, I already had mine slide off my lap one to the concrete deck at the bar. NOT A SINGLE SCRATCH

And Escribe really makes the temp vaping go to a while new level!

Vapor Shark DNA200 is in stock at www.vapenw.com they ship fast I read about the shipping delay I have ordered from them plenty of times free shipping and last I looked it was in stock at the same price as vaporshark.com so everyone that wants this model I hope this will help you does any one have a clue where I might find the Hcigar version of the evolve DNA200 at a reasonable price seeing one of the places promoted on here promised it to me for $117 and totally did not come through personally at the Vapor Shark 900 mAh size I like the LAVABOX much better but can't get your hands on one till the end of the month I want to get my hands on the Black Hcigar VT200 ASAP but you guys know what price point I am looking for. I hope the post about where to get your Vapor Sharks shipped out first thing tomorrow helps some of you out, if someone can help me as I am leaving for a 10 day vacation... I would greatly appreciate the PM as I am tight on time leaving for vacation on Thursday evening nothing I would like to bring with me more than the Black HCIGAR VT200 I saw Vaportech is getting them but I am looking to spend $30 less than their pre-sale price of $154 at the most so anyone that could help a brother out PLEASE PM ME YOUR HELP IS VERY MUCH NEEDED AFTER THE OTHER VENDOR JERKED ME AROUND PLUS I KNOW HOW TO KEEP A GOOD THING QUITE!

Also price point on the LAVABOX is much better than the VAPOR SHARK especially seeing the size is pretty much the same comes with a rubber type coating for free and same exact battery, the only thing that sucks is the waiting game... IDK about everyone else 900mAh is just not enough and if I am spending $200 I a not buying a bigger better battery at the local hobby shop as these LiPo cells are not cheap at all I am sure you have looked of course from overseas they are reasonable but my buddy has an OPUS w/1000mAh and I don't even think that is enough thing is so lite compared to my M-Class too its not even funny when I picked it up I didn't even think it had the LiPo cells in it, but he paid well over $200 too much for me at least until EVOLV finally works all the kinks out like they had to with the DNA40 chip... JMO this is why I would rather go with the model I mentioned above....

I was so tempted and the SX Mini M was my first choice device upto few months ago, the cloudmaker version gives it a better kick. Checked Yihi site before going for VS and did not see any new upcoming chips (did not look hard.) you have good taste.

Sent from Sprint HK M8 Tapatalk
Trust me I just want to get one of these to play around with the dual 18650 YIHISX350J is nothing to regret buying I put the suicide stick on my M-Class w/ the 150 watt upgrade & the Ti upgrade still the best mod out there the only thing YIHI needs to do is put out an update that lets you let you vape past 50 Jules and I don't think there would even be any consideration of buying the DNA as you can build so low on the M-class in temp mode w/the suicide stick it's crazy and way surpasses what YIHI says the chip can even do. I love my M-Class just want the DNA200 as a mistress lol just my opinion

Firmware ver. 2.23 allows you to do 75j in Ti or power mode.

Had not got to firmware on my learning curve, is the firmware for DNA200 chip for all devices or will VaporShark have their own firmware? Usually try and find this info, saw someone on the forum get bricked by a beta firmware so was holding off. Did not see any support info on VS site.

I think the firmware post was for the Yihi 350J chip talked about in the post before.

Yes it was in regards to the Yihi statement in the previous post, thanks for the clarification. SX350j firmware 2.23 will run 75j in Power & Ti mode.
only thing YIHI needs to do is put out an update that lets you let you vape past 50 Jules

On another note I've read two reports so far of dead or failing VS 200 devices similar to all other DNA 200 mods. So it seems it doesn't matter what mod maker or device, the fail rate just seems to be luck of the draw with the DNA 200. I'm kind of regretting my order of the Vape Cige Vtbox200 that I got in on at $120 as I've recently seen a thread on http://www.planetofthevapes.co.uk/f...dna200-by-vapecige-post904602.html#post904602 that 11 out of 20 are being returned for repair.

Christ, OVER a 50% borked rate? Glad I skipped THAT preorder. I'm still debating between a vs200 or the cloudmaker. I do like that I can run the CM in dual 18650 mode...

Get both! that's my plan ! the form factor and fit and finish of the vsdna is immaculate, and perfect for travel or just hanging out. the battery life and the expansion capabilities of the cm will be ideal for longevity and an actual investment rather than trying to sell and replace a mod as it reaches obsolescence

I got 8.5 hours on it yesterday with my billowv2 @ 54w and 490degrees with a 110w preheat.
Running 24g stainless steel at a 0.18 ohm build.

I made some screen adjustments in escribe to get me better battery life. The time out is at 3seconds and the brightness is down to 60% from 100% and the dimmed screen is off.

DamnitMan! After I saw the FAGan's review I was relieved that I missed the lower price.
Kind of wishing I had as well but I've finally received tracking info and should receive it on Tuesday. I've not been overly impressed with Gearbest ability to communicate so that'll be my last order from them. Any problems with the Evolv board I'll go directly to Evolv and do the work myself so I'm not planning on using Gearbest for any warranty service.

If the advertised 1800mah holds true for the VTBox200 it stands to reason I should get about 17 hrs of vape time with similar settings. :) I just need to get a luggage strap connected to it if I plan on taking it out of the house cuz it's a bit big for my pockets. lol
