What Rules do Airlines Have When Flying With Vape Gear

The only limitation is the size of your bottles. I flew in February with a ziplock back completely full of e-juice, they were just individual bottles inside the bag. I kept all my vape stuff in my carry on and didn't have any issues, the only problem I had was the TSA agent thought my mod was a lighter haha. Showed them what it was and everything was fine.
PS. I had my ipv mini, 2 batteries and a Aspire CF VV battery so the mods with non replaceable batteries are fine too.

Fluid restrictions aside, you can probably carry one or two of anything you want. More then that, they will let you pass but I can assure you that you will be spot checked at every turn. I travel with quite a few portable electronic device, some of which are quite expensive. The most times ever searched was 5 times in the same airport. Never realized that a middle aged, fat, white guy posed such threat. My wife and kids just laugh.
I've had no problems flying with vape gear. I had a couple bottles of juice (30ml) in a approved bag, a mod and a subtank. Juice was in my carry-on. Mod/tank on me and just placed in the bin with my other assorted pocket items.

I'm flying in Oct. I'm planning to pack my gear and batteries in the Coilmaster Kbox (and carry on). I'm going to try and take my eGrip in my pocket (of course put it in the tray with everything else. Grimm Green's video says 1 small device in your pocket probably won't cause any issues. I'm hoping I can take about 120mls(in 20 ml bottles) in the baggie. I did read something the other day that said vape gear must be "carried" on and is not permitted in checked baggage. I'm sure that's due to batteries. I would think you could pack your juice in your checked.
No it doesn't - at least it didn't with mine (I had my SX mini M class on the last trip)

I wouldn't think so. Think about all the other electronics that go thru there, i.e. phones etc.
Agreed with all above, I travel by air all the time, no problem at check point long as I show them. I packed all my liquids in my checked baggage. I usually carried at least 3-4 batteries with me on board. Just a precaution though, eapecially with the subtank, it leaks like *********, no matter how you closed the airholes. It's because of cabin pressure. I would just vape as much before and almost emptied my tanks before boarding.

how much juice did you have man. As close to being accurate as possible if you will, and did you carry on the juice or put it in your checked luggage

I had a sandwich type ziplock bag, with probably ~20 different 10-15ml bottles of juice. Way too much haha, but all of my vape gear was in my carry on with me.
It looks like you can take up to a quart sized bag of liquids with you in you carry on, and you can take as many bottles as you can fit in said bag as long as they are each smaller than 100ml. Anything over that needs to go in your checked luggage.

With the amount of juice you'd need (or I would) for a month I'd pack it in my suitcase in a toiletry bag! I believe that technically you're allowed to carry 4 ounces of liquid onboard (but you should double check that).

I keep seeing this tfa page saying 1liter ziplock bag, but I have no idea if its ok to stuff it or not...lol
I recently flew from Tennessee to texas...returned 2 weeks later. Carry your things through security. Place in basket. Do not place in luggage. That's it!

I am flying internationally and ms is my final destination will end up in chicago and then houston before that. Its really the mississippi people i worry about

As far as I understand, you can bring as much liquid in your checked bags as you want. But nothing with batteries goes in the checked bag. In your carry-on bag, you can bring liquid but all the liquid you bring 1) has to be in a bottle no more than 100 mls and 2) all your bottles have to fit in a single quart-sized bag. And anything with batteries goes in the carry-on bag.
I travel quite a bit from Pennsylvania to Saudi Arabia never had any over the top issues. Keep your batteries in battery cases and your juice bottles in ziplocks. I have carried on 20 (30ml) bottles with no problems. I would recommend traveling with your tank empty....they always flood.
Only issues I've had.....They wanted to see my mech internals and take a small drag to see it work. They have swabbed my juice bottles a few times

I can only second the draining of tanks, they can (and will!) leak all over the place, even tanks that won't normally leak. Anything by kanger seems to leak like it was designed to drain pasta in it though . I always carry on my batts/ PVs and at least 120ml in total of a juice I know I like, cause I guarantee if you don't have some juice with you, and its all in your bag, they WILL somehow lose your luggage.
When we flew back home to TX this year from Hawaii, we got stranded at DFW due to the snowpocalypse that texas was experiencing for three days, meanwhile the wonderful airline put our checked luggage on a TRUCK and sent it to our destination airport.
Luckily, the Mall nearby had a good vape shop inside (not a kiosk) so I could restock my liquid a bit, and socks. I do miss the malls in Hawaii though, even the vape kiosks are legit and not selling Ego's for $400

I carried them with me in my computer bag. If you put juice in your checked bag make sure to tighten caps, ziplock bag them and put in a container to keep them from getting squished. Each bottle should get its own ziplock in case they leak a little. Only ever had my juice leak once in check baggage.

I haven't had any problems flying with my gear. I disassemble everything & have it all bagged together. I tape up battery ends, put them in a batt box, & tape the box shut. IIRC, batteries are not supposed to go in checked baggage, carry on only. All juice goes in its own bag. NEVER fly with a full tank, it will leak. I always carry a RDA for use in the airport (if allowed) for this very reason. I've never been hasseled by TSA or airport personel. I did get a wierd look when my bag went through the scanner once, probably cause my vamo looked like an adult toy. And as far as i know, the only gear that is not allowed is anything that looks like a weapon (i.e. the grenade mod that was seized couple years ago & made the news).

My personal Experience... carry on luggage ONLY
8 - 15ml bottles in a quart size bag, also a Kanger pro filled with juice. Mod Box in backpack. Placed quart bag in tray going through TSA checkpoint, ZERO issues or questions.
Learned through experience: Do not transport a filled tank onto plane unless it is in a container. Mine emptied itself into the quart bag at altitude (twice).
TSA rules are simple. It has to fit into a single quart bag. There is a size of container limitation. But the majority of Ejuice bottles won't exceed that.
If you're planning a long trip. And you're concerned about running out of a juice (as I am) You can carry larger quantities in your checked luggage. Do not lock it up. As this may cause it to become "lost". I transport mine in a metal lock case (left unlocked) in my checked baggage. When I carry 6 or more ounces in volume.
Be prepared to answer questions at customs if you are travelling internationally. You're not a terrorist, so this should be a no brainer.
Hahaha A buddy of mine works at an airport. He was reported to security twice about his Mod. His looked like a remote detonator switch lol
Needless to say, he was asked not to bring it back to work.
I just flew from little rock to anchorage with 2 connecting flights and had no problem with mi I stick 50w and a kanger sub tank plus, But if you have a tank it will leak at due to pressure changes in the aircraft in climb out and landing I just wrapped mine in a paper towel and store it up side down to let the pressure equalize.

I agree that any large amount liquid should be taped around the lid and bagged and put in the 'Checked' baggage, also if you have a lot of atomisers, I would wrap and pack some in Checked. All batteries must go in the 'Carry-On' baggage, also I put my high end mods in there also but don't assemble the device with Atomiser ,I would try to separate the parts- and, finally, don't stop off en route in Dubai- recently, I was only 'in transit' in Dubai and, possibly stupidly, I had an Eleaf iStick 30 watt and an Aspire tank,that I was using at any breaks in the flight where I could vape, anyway I had put these 2 items in with my Laptop,mobile phones etc and they wanted to look at them after seeing 'something' on the XRay- end result, the little jerk confiscated the set up saying that 'ECigs are not allowed in Dubai', and even made me read a newly printed piece of paper pasted on the wall near the scanners (I reckon this was a new ruling since I passed through DBX airport a few months before and the customs guy just examined my device and gave it back) anyway, I tried to get them to give me back the iStick saying it was just a battery but, with a smile, he refused. So,lost my gear. I will try to avoid Dubai en route again.
