What is the difference in flavor and strength between these? When I bought my last batch they were out of FA. Thanks for the help.

I'd like to hear opinions on this too- I only have FA and have seen some recipes that use TFA I'd like to try.

The test recipe I made with TFA Pear is really good. It was good at first but it is better now. Steeping seems to work better with TFA. I don't have a lot of experience with TFA.

IMO FA Pear is much sweeter than TFA Pear which is dry and has a sharpness to it.
TFA Pear seems to work and be fine after a bit of steeping.
Hope that helps!

Exactly. I find it to be like this also. FA Pear is a little creamier / smoother. I like TFA a little better. Depends on how I use it. FA is used for a much more sweeter taste.
