SX Mini cloned

My sx mini turned up today, not been using it long, but so far I think it is well worth the money, few negatives, but isn't there always.

The finish isn't quite on par with the original, but that is to be expected for the price point, does have a few blemishes on it, but probably wrap it anyway.

It DOES have a spring loaded 510 pin, so no problems there, and the screen does line up in the window fine. Resistance is reading right. Did test the charge port and did seem to be working.

It does have the 3 power modes (not sure how good they are though) and it does have 5 memory settings, just like the original, but doesn't have a menu though, my only real negative so far, is once the screen goes out, you have to double press the fire button for it to fire.

It does seem to be, but I have a firing problem too, about 3 times now, I have fired it and it stays firing, unscrew atty and the screen is frozen, have to take the battery out to reset it, don't think this chip is good, as 2nd report of this, maybe this is why gearbest have pulled them.

That's why I pulled my preorder. Like I said in a previous post, they supposedly pulled them because they didn't have things that weren't even advertised. If this thing were even halfway decent...do you NOT think a Chinese company wouldn't have just gone for the cash grab (hello Cloupor Hanna Clone). When they pulled them, that's what I had a flashback of...but nobody pulled the Hanna clone so I couldn't even imagine how bad these were gonna be. Maybe it'll all be fine...but I'm still glad I pulled my preorder

Well I gave up !! Sent gearbest numerous tickets which they say are anwsered within 24 hours. None of them are anwsered. I am not in a rush to get the mod and was prepared to wait it out. I see focalecig says sold out and fasttech has pulled them. I imagine that they are unable to supply the product and eventually will either refund purchases or just keep ignoring enquiries from customers. I decided to request a refund now while I can still complain to paypal. I will resolve this issue as soon as possible and now knowing that they have no interest in keeping there customers happy. I will delete there bookmark from my browser.

I think everywhere pulled them due to the board being bad, mine the chip kept freezing while firing, got my money back for mine, they did ask for me to send it back to start with, but I said no way when it costs nearly half of the price of the mod to send it back to china. Mine is back in the box in the draw to collect dust.

I have heard there is meant to be another clone with the temp control coming, but I am going to stay away from them now.

The kicker for me was I only wanted the box. I'm mounting a real 350j chip into it. Don't want there chip. Interested in selling me your fried one ?

No one has reported if the clone will take the real 350j chip, but if want to take a gamble with it, then start a convo with me

Wow, I'll consider that one..."bullet dodged"....LOL I've been really liking TC on my VT so I may just have to splurge and get the real deal SX Mini M. VT wasn't much of a risk because I just wanted something for wattage and insane battery life since the istick50 was such a POS. But I am becoming a believer in TC

they were very fast to anwser my ticket when I said cancel the order and refund my money. Said it may take 3 days but I had a paypal refund in an hour of there email. I think they are waiting to see if maker is gonna fix the problems and ship but who knows.

I just ordered a new sx mini m class clone. This one should have the temperature control.

Paid 92$ dollar for it. Seller stated it has a genuine 350J chip in it.

I will just wait and see what it is like. If it is shit or not as advertised i will file a claim.

I did get a pic from the seller to see if it isn't the same as the above clone. I will keep you all posted.

Good luck, not heard a single person getting a good version of the 1st clone, they was so bad, all the china stores pulled them, maybe they got it right 2nd time around, but I'm sure not jumping on it this time.

Yihi has a page on their site stating that they will not sell the 350J chip. Somebody's lying and I don't think it's Yihi.

You're exactly right and I apologize for not being clear. Yihi says they will not sell to Chinese manufacturers.

By the way, after reading this notice I wonder if the reason the clone was pulled was because of Yihi. Yeah, copyright and China don't go together but they state clearly they will protect their rights.

from what it looks like you did what youre supposed to. Put it in temp control mode, hold the plus and minus button at the same time and that should do it.

I might have missed something on the video but it looks like you had it in temp control, tried to set resistance but did not press both buttons simultaneously so the screen wigged out a bit. You went back and changed it to wattage / power mode and tried to set resistance which is unnecessary.

Update. Took the unit apart. It was the spring of the 510 connection that caused the problem.

I have been vaping it now for a week and it works great. Here are some pictures of the innards.

Found a couple on DHgate. Hard to find a seller on there that will sell one unit. Anyway, seller joan4424 has one with temp control for 79.95. (60W) Saw another 60W, no TC, for 59.00.

Efun.top has one for 130.00. Says it is authentic Yihi chip. Looks nice, but as usual only comes in one color. (black)

you can buy mine for 80$ plus shipping. I really like it but somethimes you just want something else

Note i have only used it in power mode and it works great that way. Havent tested temp mode.
