Help: Two of my boxes aren't firing without messing with the batteries!

Hey. I have a 252mod and a custom made vader mod (i'll post pictures of both). I got the vader mod because the shop couldn't fix my 252mod but now both of them are giving me the same issues.

When I put batteries in (fully charged, correct positions) they'll fire for a little bit but then afterward it just stops working until I fuck with the batteries. Spin em around in the casing for a bit and then maybe it'll work. I've given up on the 252mod as it hardly ever works, but now my vader mod is doing it too and i'm wondering what the hell is going on. I'm 90% sure it's a battery sled problem but I still have no idea what to do.

I have two sets of batteries and they both give me the same issues so I'm pretty sure it's not the batteries.

I'm really tempted to just go fuck it and get a high powered regulated mod because I can't keep going through mods like this.

Here are the pictures

Any ideas anyone or am I just fucked?

Either the contacts in the sled are depressed and not making full contact with the batteries, or you have cold solder joints. Bend the contacts on the battery sleds outwards a bit to get better contact with the batteries.

Could you elaborate on the cold solder issue? I am learning.

A cold solder joint is a connection with solder that has not been heated up enough for the solder to flow consistently and thinly over the two parts being soldered. A correct soldered connection will be bright to a slightly dull sheen, a cold solder joint will look kind of gray. You have to see the two types side by side to tell the difference. Cold solder joints do not transfer electricity well and will affect the current from the battery to the 510 connection.

Bending out the sled contacts doesn't do anything. There is full contact on the battery positive and negative posts, and they don't shake or fall out or anything. They fit snug.

My vader mod is now completely broken after taking the batteries out of it once to test my 252 now it just won't work.

Sick to death of this shit for real. That's 200 dollars worth of mods down the drain and my worthless shop can't do shit about it.

Take a breath and look at the wiring, is it soldered well to the battery sleds? trace the wires and look for any loose ones. On the 252 mod, look at the wire going to the positive 510 connection, is it soldered inside? All I see is wire jammed up into the hole in the positive 510 connector

Just for grins and giggles and as a last chance..........

Get a pair of new batteries that are not Efest and give them a try.

My MXJOs don't work either.

I found the problem with my vader.

The piece circled is supposed to be soldered on to the top part. Now it's completely off and won't fire. I gotta get someone to solder it back on.
