Try a higher ohm build. I usually have mine 0.1-0.2 ohms with no problems.

No matter where you go, take your Vape!

I was rebuilding higher resistance when you posted. This seemed to work. Shame that its less than ideal at super sub ohm. Thanks.

I've built no higher than .09. My current builds are .061, and .085, I have not experienced that issue. Occasionally in the menu, when I go to adjust temperature, the screen turns off and I have to bring the menu up again. Aside from that, knock on wood, mines been pretty much fine. Maybe clean all contacts and tighten all the posts? You should be able to build that low.

Tried all those remedies first to no avail. Honestly, I can't say it wasn't the build that was on there. I rebuilt this morning to the same specs as before and the problem persisted. The resistance was the same down to the thousandth. The new build is at. 0.121 and seems to be working fine. I was operating at 460 degrees previously and I am down to 400 now with a very similar perceived vape temp as before. Still working out the kinks with this whole TC thing I guess. Been enjoying the heck out of it, though!

Usually if the "short!" message is popping up with builds closer to the .05 limit, you can get rid of it by increasing joules and temp until it goes away.

I agree, haven't gotten to .1, though. It's finicky. I'm re wicking two RDA's with nickel builds ATM in preparation for Mile High Vape Fest this weekend. Should be perfect for juice tasting, can just dry my wick out. Gonna bring so many batteries, and probably a couple regulated, and one mech mod. Plus, a basic build kit with plenty of wick. Might be overkill, but I wanna be prepared. I have a feeling money will be spent this weekend. Lol. Should get plenty of free juice.

My vendor is going to send me a replacement ipv4 from their next shipment. Hopefully, it will be the one without the charge board.

Hmmm...I don't know. After dealing with the problem with the ipv4, I think I'll wait to see if there are any bugs with this one. Besides, who knows what the upgrade will bring, other then 20 more watts.

Well... the supposed date for the firmware update was today, which has come and gone for them. Once again we are left to wait. For how long, nobody knows!

Thanks for the update bro....sad as it is :( I refuse to get an ipv3 LI and ipv4 s. They just need to give us this update! It's not like they aren't making money off of us....

I know they are shipping the ipv4-S today. They didn't want to release firmware before hand (as i am sure it would effect sales). Waiting for word back from my contact at P4Y for exact day and time for release.
I think we may have been - once again - the beta test for a better released unit. DIdnt we do this for the ipv2, the ipv3, and the ipvmini?

I tried this update with no luck. I'm assuming it only works with Windows? I only use Mac. Am I screwed?

I posted in the other thread last night. Note that "TEST" is in the file name. Hopefully its just a naming thing or else the community will be P4Y's beta testers. YMMV.
Heh, I didn't know about the other thread.

Then use a windows vm on your mac. Surely as a mac user this isn't the first windows only software you've come across.

No man all good. Didn't mean it like that all soap boxey. LOL.

Just thought it was interesting that they released something with "TEST" in it lol.
