I'm 6'5 and my wife is 5'7. Long kisses equal kinked necks!

I found a pocket scale on ebay for like 8 bucks! It works great and measures down to just .01 grams. It does have an auto shut off, but the duration us really long. Since I line up all of my flavors, of the juice I want to make, before I start mixing I have yet to run into the auto off issue. Mixing by weight is super easy and clean. I'm really enjoying it!

Hey I'm trying to put together a dry rum tobacco flavour for a friend.
Anyone got any suggestions?
Don't really vape tobaccos.
Am thinking something along the lines of cuban supreme, oak, virginia, rum, black smoke.

I do know that bitter wizard dries out the vape on the exhale when you use .5%, that's about all the help I can be atm. I'm still new meself ;D

Search feature? Back to mamajs to check it out...I must have missed it.
Yeah, on the second one. There's a little magnifying glass icon up on top. Very cool. Also, if you double click on the text where you want to read, it very politely zooms in for you. ;)

Cheers. Unfortunately I don't have bitter wizard, so am trying oakwood at 1% to try and dry it out. Problem is it all tastes like eating tobacco imo.

I read that bold part as dry-vanilla-brown-tobacco, dry-wood, grass, sweet-tasty, smoke-on-exhale.
If that makes no sense, ignore me. lol

It does make sense. It also makes me think it's the virginia that I'm not liking in the mix

virginia is the one flavor in that combo that will change the most if you steep it. I can tolerate it in a blend after steeping, but I can't handle fresh Virginia.

How long will it need to steep?
Have got all my tobaccos mixed at 1% to try, mixed them 12 days ago.
Have been putting them off as I'm scared of tobacco flavours.
Will taste test them all today and have another go at this rum tobacco.

Personally, I'd give Virginia at least a week. Or maybe 37 years. kidding. It tastes smoother to me in a mix after a week or so, and I usually throw it out use it up shortly after that. Don't mind my opinion, I'm just not a fan of Virginia flavors in general.

If you're scared of tobacco flavors, and you made some Cuban Supreme, Max Blend, Shade, Tuscan Reserve, or 7 Leaves, try those first. In fact, a lot of those might be little too light at 1%. But tread really carefully if tobaccos scare you and you have Dark Vapure, Perique (holy...), Latakia, Cam Blend (omg), Oryental4, Cowboy. Those are more "distinctive" flavors, and some are super strong (Perique!) The rest I didn't name are somewhere in between the "try it first" and "careful with this" groups.

edit: as a tobacco wimp myself, I'm sure interested to read your impressions as you try those!

My boyfriend vapes Virginia @ 2%, with Black Fire @ 0.5%. He'll vape it fresh, but likes it best about a week, OR MORE, into it. I find it too sweet tasting on it's own. After it's sat a while, and mixed with Black Fire, it tastes like a cigarette, but I'm willing to bet that anything would, when combined with Black Fire.

Hey guys, long time no see. Don't worry tapatalk pings my phone a hundred times a day so I keep up with all y'all.

Anyway, just wanted to pop in for a sec to share something I have been doing lately when working up my recipes. I have found that I can rough out my recipes by mixing 10ml warm water with about 1 drop of flavoring representing a percentage in the vape recipe. Then swirl, sniff, sip, swish like a wine tasting. Its not perfect. The vape often ends up dryer and less sweet, but it's a quick way to get in the ball park.

BTW, congrats to wllmc and HIC on your business venture. You guys deserve it!

Quick question, I'd imagine this is the right place to ask, so here goes... using the Vienna Creme in a mix, I notice a strong chemical scent off it... does the VC need an extended steep, or should I just air it out a bit? I've already done the hot water steep, just curious if other folks are experiencing this.

Nope! It should taste delicious right out of the bottle :)

I think I know what you are talking about. I wouldn't call it chemically but there is a kinda fermented flavor in Vienna. Hic has compared it egg nog. It's got that kinda alcoholic flavor in the nose on exhale it's an intentional element of the flavor and I really like it. Otherwise go with one of the other creams like Catalan.

Catalan Cream adds that little spicy sumpin-sumpin though - cinnamon? Nutmeg? I love it, use it when I DO want that little extra note, but it's not for everybody... I don't taste anything alcohol-y or chemical-y in Vienna Cream (even with the strong scent - just smells like concentrated flavor to me), especially when I throw in a little Vanilla Classic.

yeah, the mix is:

  • 4% FA Banana
  • 2% FA Vienna Creme
  • 1% FA Vanilla Classic.

Might just be the alcohol-esque that @RyGon mentioned. I've got it cap off for a while to see how it evolves. Beauty of DIY!

Yeah Catalan is definitely more complex with other faint flavors floating around in there. I tend to use Vienna over Catalan in almost every case, but I don't get that sensation in the nose with Catalan. If only Fresh Cream was sweeter, can't wait for condensed milk!

I've got the Catalan on my order I placed, can't wait to see how it works out... After using just a bit of the FA stuff for mixes, I'm certainly a convert. I still use some TPA flavors, but this stuff is excellent.
How's the Tiramisu? Sounds right up my alley, just didn't have any in stock when I placed my order. I think its a ploy to make us place more orders ;)

Tiramisu is excellent! To me the coffee flavor is a bit too strong so I would bump up the other components with a little cookie and some cream. Probably Vienna Cream and heck might as well try it with some more cinnamon and vanilla, but might not need it unless you just want to push a favorite flavor. I don't have a recipe locked down for it so I'm not sure about the percentages. I should get on that. Haven't tried it since I switched to temp control.

Tiramisu is bomb! Strong coffee at first, but let it sit and the other flavors (like the cake part) kick in. It's a strong flavor. I'm a flavor junkie and even just 3% is a little cloying to me. This is one of those flavors I like with a little Catalan Cream, for the spice notes.

Can't be any stronger than caramel cap by TFA, that stuff will blow your head off! It sounds perfect for me, as I'm a coffee fiend, and I've never found a GOOD coffee vape yet (DIY or bought), so I'll certainly need to get my hands on some of it!

Ok weird off topic question - is there a way to delete conversations? I know weird 1 huh.

Ok the way to delete them is to select them and then go to - leave the conversation, wonders why it could just not say delete?? lol. ;)

That's a good question. And it makes sense.
There's a reason for that and I learned it somewhere else, but then quickly forgot it. Kinda like even when YOU leave the room, the other person/ people is/are still in there. That conversation could still be going on whether you're in it or not, so when other people are involved, you don't necessarily want to delete it (hahaha it's not always about you). I think the system stores conversations differently than email inboxes.

...of course that could be totally wrong, so... :D

anyone have some recipe ideas for FA Whiskey

I tried a search on here but that is USELESS beyond USELESS

Go ahead do a search for "FA WHISKEY" I dare you

you get posts about @Whiskey

and I can not seem to find a search thread feature so I could just search this thread or other threads

So Since we have @Whiskey maybe we need a special thread for anything whiskey flavor related

NEVERMIND
I figured out how to use the advanced search features here

Now that I found at least 1 recipe with this
@HeadInClouds or anyoen else with some experience with this flavor

I find I like the flavor straight from a shake a vape, but it seems to overpower everything else.

I tried something like

FA Whiskey 1%
FA cinnamon .5%
FA Fiji 2%

And all I could taste was whiskey

Based on HIC's comment on his I believe its Irish pot o gold recipe

Does FA whiskey need a couple days steep time to mellow out so you can taste the other flavors
or do I just need to use less of it and more of other flavors

Woo Hoo!!! My cousin's VAPING!!!! And her husband, who is a non smoker, is really interested in getting into DIY for her. It just couldn't be better!

It's a great day, I'm vaping a special juice for my Birthday - it's HIC's fantastic Corpse Reviver. It's so yummy and bright. I reckon it would bring back the dead. Magic!! :D:):D

Yay!! I'm so glad that worked out @mink. And Happy Birthday!

Thank you so much Huck. It's a great Birthday pres for me. A fab new vape and brilliant news.

My cousin has a severe pain debility that makes it near impossible for her to mix or even fill her clearomizers so we're looking for some atomizers that will hold enough ejuice for a day. She doesn't want to subohm. We bought an Eleaf Istick 30W so she doesn't need to recharge so often and a few CE5's for her to get used to vaping as well as a Nautilus Mini that she hasn't tried out yet.

The only non-subohm atomizers in a larger size that I've been able to find are the full size Nautilus, Vivi Novas, some Innokin iClears , but I don't know which ones and a Protank 2.5ml. We'll also get a few Vision Spinners as spare batteries, just in case, either 1300s or 2200s.

I'm still fairly too new as to what is available and what goes with what so any advice or suggestions will be so greatly appreciated.
