So my initial order of sammy 25r's from amazon came in blue with the words printed directly on the wrap. I just ordered 2 more but this time from liionwholesale.com. Same batteries but now they're in a green wrap and their labeled with a sticker?? Are these genuine? Am I missing something?

The green on the left is the new one, the blue is my original order.

Jon put a notification on the site that Samsung had changed the color of their wraps from blue to green. All batteries from Liion have a label over the manufacturers printing on the wrap showing they have been tested and certified as authentic. Nothing to worry about. Liion is a straight up company and the only place I buy batteries now.

Thats good news, I had read good things about them and their pricing is excellent. I must have overlooked that memo.

Yeah, I read the same statement. I just got four VTC-4s from them and trust them completely.

Yeah sorry about the confusion, Samsung switches the color back and forth whenever they revise a battery. The green ones are the new revision, the 25R5, it just came out a few weeks ago and we were one of the first to get it. It has a slightly tweaked chemical composition inside. Our testing shows they are identical in every way to the blue ones but Samsung says they have a little bit longer cycle life which is the one thing we don't test.

Liion sounds like.a.good company and the blog has excellemt info. Definitely trustworthy.

Wondered when the revised cell would show up, I'd seen a few articles with details of improved cycle life and the wrapper change.
