My freind recently gave me his Kanger Subtank Mini and i can for the life of me get into the rebuildable part. Is it not supposed to come apart?

Well, it looks to me like you have already removed the top cap and now all you have to do is unscrew the deck/connector assembly from the cylinder.

Mine seperate into those three sections very easily and without tools.

It can be a pain for some folks from what I've read. Does that pin on the bottom with the big hole in it free-float/spin? I can't tell because mine is currently submersed in my tank and I'm vaping it ;) I was thinking maybe you could stick a drill bit or some tweezers in there to give you some leverage to work the two sections loose.

This was my first thought as well but after checking that bottom part does in fact unscrew so that won't work. Only thing I can think would be some pliers on the threads, should probably wrap the pliers in rubber or something to protect the threads and don't squeeze to hard.

Bummer. Yep, that was going to be my next suggestion. That or using a pair of rubber gloves to get some more grip.

One suggestion and it is kinda hardcore.

And kinda last resort.

If nothing else works, put it in the freezer.

After it is frozen, take a bowl of water and nuke it in the microwave until the water boils.

Once the dinger dings, open the door and drop the frozen part in the water as fast as you can and back away quick.

All hell is gonna break loose in that bowl.

If that does not loosen the parts, I don't know what the hell will.

Yes, smack it a few times on it's side on the counter top. That might break the binding of the threads so you can unscrew it.

I got one. Soak it in Hydrogen Peroxide for a few hours. It acts kinda like a penetrating oil. Has worked for me in the past. Then use rubber gloves to get a good grip.

Love my subtanks, but this is one of the PITA with them, on a good note, they don't seem to stick as much the more you unscrew and screw them, and also, the more pressure you put on it, the harder it is to unscrew, sounds strange, but only put light press and wiggle a little to unscrew.

The freezer usually always works, even for the most stubborn of RTA's....I have to do it with my authentic Kayfun every week to take apart to either rewick or rebuild....a good hour in the freezer and then if it won't loosen by hand than I take a vapeband to cushion my pliers from damaging the little bugger and that gets the chamber housing...it's almost like it's alive and playing a game to taunt me...

Glad you got it unstuck and figured out....happy vaping! :)
