Those problems seems not be present in my istick 50 W. Maybee I got lucky :D

Its funny how quickly people jumped on the bandwagon to hate the 50w.
Probably just as quickly as they did in Having To Have It a few months ago.
Now its the "go-to" for love to hate devices.

I have both the 20w and the 50w.
Love em both.
And I actually HAVE a 50w from the proclaimed pre-March "Bad Batch ".
Zero issues with either of them.
So I guess we both "got lucky" haha.
Maybe I'll change my tune if I start having problems, but part of me also wonders how much of these problems are caused by user error.
So until then...I'll stick to my guns.

I'm glad the iSticks worked out for some people. A lot of people, most even. But mine is cap and I'll call a spade a spade.

As easily as one could say people that have problems with their iSticks must be doing it wrong, one could say those that love their devices simply have lower standards. I'd prefer to believe there are plenty of devices that come out okay, along with QC standards that let too many subpar devices loose in the wild.

I can agree with that statement partially.
QC is a huge problem everywhere these days and Ive seen that first hand at an Aeronautical Level.
God only Knows what Shit Standard they have in an Asian VAPE manufacturing facility!

However in the past months Ive gotten to know a couple of the vendors that use on a bit more of a personal level. Ive asked several times about the 50w and returns.
Both have stated that in comparison to sales the returns for misfiring, button issues, and doa have been minimal. One Vendor even takes each one apart that comes back. (If they were flooding through the door I dont think the guy would have time to do that.) His statement to me was that 98% of those returns had a SUBSTANTIAL amount of Ejuice inside of the units which obviously can cause ANY electronic device to malfunction.

I hope some details are released and it can do Ti. With all the info coming out form the evic VT users who are using Ti builds and making their battery life longer since Ti requires less power. Eleaf might have a certified winner if they do TC correctly enough. The picture looks like the shape of a 30w not the 50w at least to me. but pictures are deceiving. So if it does Ti you need less wattage and less battery capacity. so that could be a nice little mod and might be my next purchase after kangertech ever decides to make stock occ Ti coils cuz I really dont want to start building coils atm. Stock coils usually work very well for me.

I also have a 20 and 50 watt IStick, and have had zero problems so far. I'm very happy with them Having said that, I can see one major improvement in the upcoming IStick , they moved the 510 connector to the opposite side of the mod from the firing button. I can see how that might minimize the chance of getting juice into the button if your tank floods.

Just got my 50w , works like a charm, it now joins my other 20's, I loved them when they first came out and will love them going forward, Never had an issue with any of the Isticks I own, and I have a few:)

Nice! The wife and I love our isticks. She's got the 30W and I have the 50W. We've had our for 4+ months now and haven't had any issues whatsoever. Mine is the only device I carry on a daily basis, usually hooked up to my Subtank mini, and she uses hers with her nano every day.

Like others said, maybe I got lucky and got a good one, maybe it's just a high volume product that had a couple bad runs, who knows? I'm definitely going to check this product out when it comes out, I've been looking for a reasonably priced TC mod and might as well stick with the brand I'm familiar with.

That's a very good point Mark.
I personally prefer the old orientation of the firing button that is on the 20w 30w and 50w, but switching it around that way could very well help in that situation for sure.

Ive never had any of my Subtanks flood whatsoever... but my Nautilus tanks seem to flood at least once a day when I use them. Never to the point of juice coming out, but internally. It's a pretty easy fix when they do, but nonetheless very annoying. For that reason, Ive been shying away from them more and more these days.
(and also because I now prefer more of a deep lung hit )

So it looks like this is an istick TC40W. It's about the size of a 20/30w, just a little bigger and it does temp control (surprise!) lol. My two Isticks have served me well, if this thing is 40 bucks I'll try it. I love my Atlantis on a 30w for a pocket carry, being able to throw my nickel coil in there would be awesome, that is, if vaporshark makes more of them. My sx mini m will not be threatened by this tho lol

it may threaten your sx M class if it can do Ti
Ti seems to need less wattage and eats up less battery life to achieve the same results as nickel

Lol sx mini is totally safe if this thing has the evic vt tech behind it. I don't dislike my evic at all but it hasn't replaced my sx mini, might have made me like it more tbh.

Temp Controlled, 40 watts, USB Charging & it fits nicely in the palm of my hand!!!!,,,,,,,,,I could not ask for more from a new mod. I will be buying one to replace my 30 watt Istick if this info is correct.

I love the size and feel of my 30 watt Istick. Mine has been trouble free for the 3 months I have owned it. The only minor issue I have is the screws holding the top cover get lose, but that is likely from the numerous times I have dropped it on the concrete floor at work. I was considering the Evic, but it is a bit too bulky and heavy for my liking.

i just wish that joyetech/eleaf would stop using chrome on the top and bottom caps. I may be in the minority, but I hate chrome lol, would much rather an aluminum, stainless, or even painted/anodized. Thanks God for Jwraps 8)

One of my local vape shops is offering a pre-order for the Istick 40TC for $39.99 Canadian $. I'm really tempted but I am going to hold off until we know more about its reliability / safety.

One thing that I wish eleaf would start implementing into the IStick line is having a removable battery. Even though I really Dig my 20w and 50w, I just cant see myself buying another IStick until this option becomes available.

i look at it like this:
if my istick 30 used 18650s I would need 2 a day. SO thats about $18-20 for batteries on top of the cost of the mod. These go for $30-$40 a mod so even at the low end I would spend $48 for a 30w mod that lasts me all day. Plus a charger which is another $15-20.

Now the 18650s will die about the same time as the istick 30 internal battery. so then theres another 2 batteries and another $18-20. and i still have an older used mod. now Ive spent $81 on a 30w mod and batteries.

Or i can just say the hell with batteries, go with internal batteries and buy the new 40w verison with TC for about $40 and have a brand new shiny mod with new features and have spent about the same money

with all the innovations that keep coming out, mods are disposable, so are many tanks. so ill take these lower cost mods with internal batteries for now. by the time my istick 30 dies eleaf will have come out with something even newer then the 40w mod

Even mods like the ipv3 li, the ipv4 which is now outdated by the ipv4s, the cloudmaker,sx mini etc are all gonna be out date din a year. with the firmware being able to be upgraded on these mods many are hoping they will out last that, maybe they will, but as soon as someone comes up with a new idea that the current chips and wiring can't handle, then if you want that new thing, your fancy $150+ with upgradable firmware has now become obsolete.

so if i burn through an eleaf every 6-8 months at $40ish thats fine with me, its cheaper for me in the long run

I want an iStick 200W TC mod for $60. Just have to wait a year I guess.

I got my new istick 40w about 30 mins ago. Been vaping my Atlantis V1 with .15 ohm nickel coils from VS. Obviously it's way too early to give much feedback but I will say that it works! lol. I love the size (a hair bigger than a 20 or 30 watt istick), the Temp control is very straight forward, just hold the middle button, set your temp, lock your resistance and go. You can't adjust the watts in TC mode that I know of, it's just set at 40 watts all the time and you just pick your max temp. I have been hitting temp after about 3 seconds into my draw with it set at 420 degrees, about a second later it kicks in again. First impressions are pretty solid, but keep in mind that this was less than $40 and I didn't/don't have the same expectations for this device as my sx mini. If I find any major issues I'll post them here. Oh, those holes near the 510 are not vent holes, they are for a lanyard, but who knows what will happen when juice gets in there, maybe nothing. Last thing I'll mention for now is that TC mode was designed for nickel not Ti.

Cheers

I'm not getting any rattle, if I really shake it I get a little ticking but it sounds more like the side of a wire tapping inside. Using a light touch the buttons have a slight amount of play, the fire button more so, but they don't seem to make any noise when they aren't being pressed. I only vaped about 3 mils of juice on it so far, it's hardly broken in, but off to a good start at least.

Before I left work yesterday it popped up on MVS (My Vapor Store), they had it for $36 in black with an ego adapter, which ironically I needed. Overnight shipping and they actually got it on the truck at 6pm est yesterday (I ordered at 4:28pm est) so I give them a round of applause for that shit :D They have the mod without the ego for $30 in all four colors but it still says out of stock at the moment, keep an eye on it. I'm really liking it, it's exactly like using my 30w but I get to use my vaporshark coils

Edit. Also wanted to mention, I usually vape my sx mini at 420 degrees on standard mode with this very coil, I find that the istick is performing similarly at 500 degrees, with regards to vapor production, density, warmth and flavor. I'm quite pleased at 500, which is where I use my evic vt ;)

Thanks for the updates, you are the first person I have heard of that actually has one. Its nice to hear the buttons don't rattle. That was one of my only complaints about my 30 watt Istick

Which button on your 30 rattles? Mine is quiet as can be. But I will note that my fire button is not "flat", one corner is depressed a bit. It hasn't caused any issues, if anything I saw it as a ding on their quality, but if that's the button that rattles then I lucked out on my 30.

I did the pre-order thing (which I usually don't do), but I couldn't resist the $30 price tag shipped. Hope to get it in a week or so. Thanks for your observations, sounds like it will be a solid, cheap, temperature control option.
