Im here to ask your opinion on the IPV4. Recently my Cloupor T5 took a crap on me so now im down to just my Sigelei Mini 30w. I want something a little more powerful than a 30w so ive been looking into some mods and found that the IPV4 has some great reviews. What are your thoughts?

Good thinking!

Yep, the IPV4 has some great reviews.

But like it is in the vaping world, they just came out with the new version with temp control.

If you can wait for reviews on the new version, that's what I would do.

But if you can't, the current model still beats a swift kick in the fanny anyway you look at it!

Quick question: I dont have the money for a external battery charger and IPV4, and i see some issues mentioned about charging it via the USB port. Has this been fixed to your knowledge?

I have the IPV4 and really like it. Temp control works great. My only issue is the fact that it's BIG and I mean BIG. I just got the Evic VT a couple of days ago and I think I like it better. It's smaller (but heavy), great screen and it has internal battery. You might want to give it a try. I've seen them priced around 75.00 and up, but you can get just the device without the tank and I've seen them around 55.00

The IPV4 does not charge thru' the USB port, neither did the IPV3. It has an internal charge board that works but you have to buy the charger seperately

The ipv mini 2 70watt is much smaller, takes a single 18650 and can charge the battery with a USB cable. There are also silicone sleeves you can get for them. Worth a look at least. Happy hunting.

Resident Sigelei fanboy popping in - the Sig 150 is worth a look if temp limiting isn't your thing - around the same price range. That said, I'm looking at the IPV4 for my next device, though both Sig and P4Y will probably have new new devices by the time I'm actually in need...

The owner of this company was on ModEnvy last night. This is a steal. It comes with the 9V charger she sourced for this mod. Also with code "JoeJoeIPV4" she'll knock off another $10.

Good deal hers also ship fast and are the newest version no mirror screen the blackened screen looks great on the silver glad I got one there over the black. The screen is also very bright and easy to use. This is a big mod but very comfy to hold and the batteries are so easy to change don't need change often though very long battery life with 2 Sony v5 and 2 Panasonics so far.

Whats your opinions on the istick 50w?
Not a fan. Rattly buttons, poor threads at the 510, fire button randomly cuts out, some of them catch fire while charging (at least mine hasn't done that yet)...

If I was going to get a big power box it would be a Sigelei 150w. My buddy has one and I wouldn't even consider anything else that's available right now in that category. Just my opinion.

I got mine from that deal today, in black. Although the description says that the sensor doesn't work, it does on mine. Need to use the button to wake the unit from sleep but after that the sensor fires it just fine. And as a bonus its a more comfortable way to hold the mod. I was debating selling the unit because the edges, even though they are rounded, feel very uncomfortable to my hands. I have fibromyalgia. But just for kicks I tried the sensor and it worked. I fire it with my thumb when I use the sensor and the unit sits way more comfortably in my hand when I hold it for that vs either orientation for using the button to fire. If I knew how nice it was I'd have ordered a second.
