So my initial vaping with this new mod is pleasant it's just like the ipv4 in temp control. No on board charger no hole for charger all solid metal. touch sensor seems ok so far works fine will have to tinker more with it. no magnets on battery door another ball bearing lock system that slides downwards. battery sled is very clean. does have a micro usb port on the bottom for updates only. It does vape at 165 watts out the package and the manual seems to be more well written then anything before from p4u. I will update more in a bit and have some photos. any questions just ask.

Thank you for updating with info!
It's funny mine should actually show up tmw so I hope you don't find any major flaws ;) interested to see how temp control compares to my rDNA 40! Never owned any IPV's/Yihi regulated devices

I'm glad they did get rid of any charging port though, as the previous ones were misleading and skeptical at the least.

Have any issues thus far with the devices recognizing different nickel/kanthal coil builds? And from what I gather you can manually switch from regular mode to temp control as well? No relying on the device to assume which mode for you?

Also, I think in previous models, with kanthal builds, the previous models would sometimes change read resistances on builds sporadically, sometimes jumping +/- a tenth of an ohm to a full ohm; have you noticed this at all when using kanthal? Obv not with temp control mode, bc that is the nature of the mode/nickel, but I remember some people had inconsistent readouts with kanthal builds.

I know I may be rushing with questions as you had it for only a day! ha but it's much appreciated! So thank you!

no worries actually only had it for about 4 hours, I know what your saying about the resistance changing my og sigelei 100 watt somethimes does that but I think its because the pin isn't spring loaded..
The LI has a spring loaded 510 tried a cardo tank, a few drippers and several sub ohm clearo's no issue thus far I actually really like it. Feels pretty damn solid like my sigelei's. I like the way Yihi does temp limiting seems like a pretty consistent algorithm I own a vs rdna40 and still use it, but I prefer to vape mostly on my Yihi chipped mods more if that helps any. when you vape your wick dry it shows dry coil and tones down the power. all in all it's a good mod. I need more time with it to give a more complete review of it.

Got mine tonight. So far seems nice. Only oddity is resistance readings in tc mode may be a little off. Or could be they are wrong on my ipv4. Don't have anything that reads down to 100th accurately to check builds with.

I heard a few complaints about that with the Sigelei's too but yea that makes more sense.

But glad to hear you like it! And that's interesting to hear because I also own the VS rDNA 40 and I love that thing. Just bought it a little over a week ago actually, when they did the price drop to $130 (which I now understand why they did bc all these new temp control devices just sprung up out of no where) but I've been loving it nonetheless. Will bum me out a bit if these new Yihi chips are notably better bc I did just by it when I could've waited lol but oh well it's still a great device and I'm about to have both anyway.

Thanks for the input though man, was a little nervous jumping on it so quickly but glad there's no major flaws that have jumped out for you !

Example is same build reads .063 cool on ipv4 reads .075 on ipv3li. Coil Calc indicates build should be closer to .063. The gravy will be if they release the firmware, which I have read hits on the 20th and will add 70j 200watts top end and also ability to use kanthal in tc mode.

my ipv4 is a lttle off from my sx mini and so is my ipv3 li. I think there is a lttle variance due to wiring and the materials in the mod and topper. the variance isn't much ,but seeing the resistance in 100th you can see it.

a1 kanthal wire in tc? I haven't heard this anywhere besides from Assolo, where did you see that at? I know that the update will increase overall power. thanks again

On another note kinda funny that the warranty card is good for 3-months through Asmodsus but they are dropping p4y lol.
What do you think about the instruction manual Wooglin huge improvement from ipv4 imo. Also what vendor did you get yours from? my lot # is L1623

Mmm interesting. Mine arrives tmw; I'll have to check it against my rDNA 40 and a few multimeters and see if I'm getting similar behavior. Sounds like what Maverick said, something within how it's wired is potentially adding just a little more resistance..

Snap 200 watt upgrade has hit. It looks like it does not up the Joules limit in this revision, but it does hit 200 watts. Not sure about Kanthal, link says adds nickel and titanium support for tc mode? Crazy translation for upgrates.

Titanium, not Kanthal.

Yes, that is what it says but I have upgraded and am firing a Kanthal coil on in in TC mode. Previously it would go straight to dry hit with Kanthal. Getting ready to see what happens if I run a coil dry.

Will burn Kanthal dry but not a severely as in power mode. If you adjust temp down works quite well but not sure I would use it over power mode for Kanthal.

This Mod burns my TC builds different than the IPV4 which really does not make alot of sense. It hits very hard from the start compared to the IPV4. No ramp up time, perhaps this hits the coil with higher power more quickly?

The question alot of people may be wondering is IPV4 or IPV3LI, if I could only have one it would be IPV3Li right now. The touch feature is a novelty but is implemented very well and the build quality is very good.

Mine arrived today! First impressions: it's built pretty solid, love this silver finish. Battery door is better than screws but kinda rough at first. Nbd honestly, it gets better. 510 is smooth, pin is spring loaded. However, my 510 is ever so slightly angled so it scratches the unit in the same spot every time. Did this with the first tank I put on it. It's also ever so slightly off to one side, so my tanks/drippers hang off just slightly on one side. It's driving me crazy haha but it's sooooo small, and most people honestly wouldn't notice it.
The buttons are nice, fire button could be a little softer but that's just an opinion. The touch sensor actually works fine in regular mode, didn't really work in temp control. Not a big deal, as I can't see myself using it really. The screen is nice and bright, easy to read. Don't see it being an issue to read in intense lighting/outdoors. Menu screen is easy to navigate.

I haven't given it too much of a test in temp control just yet, as I got it all of an hour ago, but will be trying soon.

Does fire to 165w in regular mode and I did see that update so I might just got ahead and do that right now tbh.

And lastly, I did put a few nickel builds on the unit to see if it read higher than my multimeters and VS rDNA 40. It actually read .094 on a build that read .11 on my VS, and .093 on a build that read .1 on my VS so that's interesting.. One of multimeters read the builds at .09 for both, haven't tried the other one yet bc of dead batteries of course. But so far pretty accurate.

Will be updating when I try temp control. Interested to see how it stacks up against my VS

EDIT: Looks like I'm not updating just yet.. Only software available to run the upgrade is for a PC and I'm on a Mac D:

My iPV4 consistently around .05 lower than my meter, and my Mini 2 and iPV3. Doesn't affect functionality really, but has kinda bothered me. Seems to be an issue with all of these, so that's unfortunate, but as long as they're consistent, I suppose it's ok. I'm gonna bring it in to a shop to see if I can compare the readings to another iPV4.

All sounds and looks good on the Li. I wish I had known, I would've waited, but I'm gonna try to hold out. I never need that power from the iPV3, and I don't need more from the 4 either. Must wait a while, and let the tech advance some more prior to getting another device. Looking nice, guys, the 3 is definitely built more solid, so enjoy. Glad to hear good things.

Very interesting I have tried to fire a1 kanthal builds in tc and it would do the same. so now it will fire with the update?
I think the vendor may have misunderstood p4u I don't think this mod can tc/tl a1 kanthal, I beleive the update adds ti and increases power. you could be right about the ramp up versus ipv4 my Sxm has differen't presets that either lowers or raises initial ramp up. would make sense. just downloaded update see how she vapes after it. I also wonder if this update will work on the ipv4?? or if they will release a ti update when they increase the power on ipv4.

Yes my Atlantis 2 with stock coil fires in TC mode, and it seems to work well. It will dry hit, but not nearly as harshly as in power mode. Pretty cool.

Decent review

On this review he mentions that the touch sensor malfunctioned in TC mode. He missed the activation. For the touch sensor to work you have to fire once with the physical button which is a pretty cool design decision which stops it from firing by accident. This only applies if the display has turned off. Once the display is on if you fire once with the button you can fire with the touch sensor until the display times off again.

On another note having used the IPV3Li for two days the IPV4 is shelved. This is a superior mod in every way. The IPV4 is still a very nice mod but this one is just that much better. I have to believe they had this one in the works for a longer amount of time, or that an entire different team worked on it. Everything from the manual to the physical execution of the mod is superior.

You know I think I would have to agree with you. It just seems more well built overall. I did notice Mikey said that ,but he added a caption that says its work.
It is a nice safety feature and if you don't want to use the touch sensor you can just turn the sensor off

Sadly I am sort of interested in this because of the damn touch sensor.

A lot of folks disconnected the touch sensor on these devices shortly after they received them.

They can be a bit quirky. I have the original IPV2, the sensor got a bit of liquid on it and went into constant fire mode.

Hopefully they have made them more robust and less twitchy in the more modern versions.

It'd be nice if they actually released the promised firmware update for the IPV4 instead of utterly sidelining it after the IPV3 Li release.

They were supposedly bumping it to 150w months ago.

I'm only interested because there's a chance they'll fix the presets in joules mode though, and maybe add a lock function.

It does not appear to be very sensitive like the IPV2 and has a safety feature in that it will not fire from the touch sensor without firing with the button once and then the touch works until the screen times out from inactivity. I have dripped some liquid on the sensor and even rubbed it to cover the entire sensor and it stops firing as soon as my finger is gone. Different type of sensor I am guessing.

The presets are not fixed on the IPV3Li even after the 200watt firmware update.

Another thread said Denny at P4Y announced it will be "soon". I am not sure what that means as they aren't the greatest when it comes to dates and deadlines. IF they do the firmware (for the ipv4) to go to 165w (and increase joules) that would be fantastic.

that tempered nickel is awesome got a 100' roll from lighting vapes and its nice and springy you'll like it. works great to just don't dry burn it red hot otherwise you will aneal it.
