I just got my ipv4 in well a 2ed one because i messed up the other one but my question is on titanium wire i seen some videos on it but im skeptical on them ok here we go 26g titanium Micro build i hit a .12 with 8 wraps on 1/8 inter on a rda now is that to low for temperature control should i hit higher also do i heat the coils up a little and compress them together or not?and if your wondering i did set resistance im setting at 480% and 40 Jules and sometimes i do get a dry hit is it supposed to do that or should it just lose flavor?

Absolutely do NOT heat up Ti wire to compress. Dry burning the coils risks catching the wire on fire. I'm not kidding. Think of how Magnesium burns...You will need to adjust the mod upwards in temp and joules because it is programmed for Nickel. You are running hot, so you might get a dry hit. try lowering the temp and see when it kicks into temp control mode.

How'd you mess up the first.?
Nickel wire is recomended
.06 and up for resistance
most use spaced coils and set resistance before firing
Start low on the power and work your way up.

That's at the low end. I don't think it'll fire below .05. I'd shoot for around .1 plus or minus 02. Think you have to lower the temperature with Titanium because it changes differently while heating.

The IPV4 is designed for nickel. I think using it as intended is better, haven't tried titanium. My first dual coil collapsed when wicking so I'm going to try twisting with a smaller gage kanthal in the future. Also looking at picking up some sturdier tempered nickel wire. I have some in a cart and haven't pulled the trigger yet. it's costlier The sale at Lightning Vapes lasts until tonight

There is a update for the sx mini m class, which runs the same chip, to run titanium wire. I wonder if there is one for the ipv4? I have yet to try titanium cuz I can't find it where I live but I have been told that it runs like 100 degrees hotter than nickle
