Who's got one of these SICK top fill RTA Yet? What are your opinions? Are they easy to build on? Inquiring minds want to know.......

I absolutely love mine. In comparison to the Goblin and Silverplay, it's alot easier for me to build on. Clouds are incredible and so is the flavor. Mine is from their second batch, and the quality on mine was flawless. #1 rta in my arsenal...by far.

How's the flavor/airflow compared to the silverplay?

@StanM Thats good to hear. I got one sitting in canadian customs. Maybe just me but I have had problems with my goblin leaking and am hoping that this one won't. Is the air flow as much as the goblin?

With the build I use in the Cthulhu, I feel it has much more flavor than the silverplay, and the airflow in the Cthulhu is a little more open.

Honesty the airflow is about the same. But, the Cthulhu is easier to build on and has greater flavor. I have had no real leaking issues with the Cthulhu.

Good to hear. Now I'm really looking forward to getting mine. Love the flavor and airflow on the goblin. Looking forward to top fill.

Even with those huge juice chanels.
I've only had one leak when I forgot to close the afc.
I'm torn between the Cthulhu and smok vct for flavor but the Cthulhu wins hands down for cloud volume and density.

I top fill my silverplay... Doesn't leak a drop. I close airflow control completely off an top fill like you would a Kayfun.... I'm using a taifun nano tank section though.

I have 2 of them and they are great. However, I top filled the first one I built and about 1/2 the juice leaked out and fast. Blew it clear and have bottom filled ever since with no leaks at all. Go figure??? As mentioned by others, great flavor and vape, so much so that I was on Fasttech the other day and couldn't resist getting 2 more. They didn't use the word "style" so don't know if they are real or clones. Must be clones for the price.

It's certainly a clone. But from what I read, comparable in quality

So mine just came in the other day, there was a shipping snafu at Smog but they made it right and did it quick so shout out to those folks.

Anyway, I put it in the sonic cleaner and then washed it and lubed the o-rings, checked for airflow obstruction etc etc. I haven't built it yet (later today) but there is one thing that is bothering me about the top fill. You know how the top section is two pieces that screw together? Well number one, what a pain in the ass getting those two pieces apart even with lubed o-rings BUT when I take the top section off like I'm going to top fill, it keeps grabbing and turning the chimney off the deck. Doesn't take the chimney all the way off but it's backing the threads out.

I've tried tightening and loosening that nut that goes on top and it doesn't matter, every time I take that top section off, it turns the chimney. I see there's a little o-ring in there that could put friction on the top of the chimney but even lubed it is still grabbing. Is this a non-issue once you start vaping it? Has anybody else had to deal with this?

Yup, still an issue. I just make sure the chimney is extra tight on the barrel. After using the Cthulhu for quite some time now, I found the only real PITA is unscrewing top portion to fill. The drip tip isn't tight enough to help unscrew it and it's difficult to use your fingers. Luckily I keep a Delta II drip tip around. It is tight enough to help unscrew it.

Well, I built it and I guess we'll see ;)

Ended up with 0.4 Ohms using 26 gauge Kanthal A-1 wrapped on 2.0 mm and some Koh Gen Do. Surprisingly easy build. Clouds. Nice. Flavor is just almost there with the RM2. Almost. Nice bit of kit so far. I'm thinking the top fill is going to be a disaster, I know that chimney is going to come off. We'll see.

Mine loosened up after awhile and is longer a problem. It's still a pain trying to grab that top cap to n screw it but it's gotten better over time.
the afc ring is another story. Mine has been a bear to adjust since day one and is even worse when it's screwed onto a mod.
I think this tank could've been a major player with just a little more forethought and testing.

Yeah, I can see it has issues, even after lubing the o-ring for the AFC, it's pretty stiff. I gotta say, though, not to shabby at all. Great flavor for a tank and wicked nice vapor production. For the love of all that is holy, this thing GUZZLES juice though. :D

You can tone down the consumption a bit.
Ive found that building in the .6-.8 range has lowered it considerably and it still performs very well.

From what Cthulhu says, V2 will have 2 build desks. Single coil and dual coil. Really looking forward to that. Hopefully they can increase the capacity a little also. They seem to listen to our raves and rants on the Cthulhu.

Whats up, Guys....Sorry I havent been on in a while....Been busy with shit. So, Yesterday my Cthulhu FINALLY arrived. I am having severe leaking issues. I am new to the whole rebuildable scene, so I have a lot to learn!! Thank you all for your input on this thread, and please...Keep them coming!! (I know....PHRASING!!) I THINK I have the wicking technique solved however, but I would love to hear more techniques you more experienced builders are doing...and coil builds as well. And ANYTHING that will benefit the owners of "The Great Old One"!! Cthulhu is calling....will YOU accept the charges??

So I've had my Cthulhu for a little over a week. Still playing with it. Vapes really well. Love the airflow. Watched several vids on wicking it as I can't seem to get it just right. Specifically I'm having a problem with the top fill leaking when filled. Yes the afc is closed. If I put enough cotton in the channels to prevent leaking when filling I limit the wicking a little to much. I've been putting a silicone plug in the chimney while filling and this prevents leaking but means carrying that with me.

I have 2 and love them. However, do to the issues mentioned here, I just find it simpler to pass on the top fill and use the bottom screw. Maybe they will eventually get that part right.

@Yooperdad
I think that my wick is just right for the way that I vape. I just filled up my tank twice in the last hour with no leaking.
The problem seems to be when I tighten the top on It compresses the juice and it forces its way past the wick and floods.
So now I just fill it up and leave a reasonable air bubble, put the top on one thread, invert the tank and tighten it up. No flooding and great vape.

I too have leaking isues. I havent tried to use the bottom fill yet. The leakin, however, seems to go away after a couple hits. Strange... By the way... This is my first RTA & I have next to no experience building. There is a learning curve.... (I hope..)lol
