Best kind of battery to use on a Provari

I should be getting the extension cap this week so I can use 18560 batteries in my Provari. Is it ok to use button top batteries? I have IMR 2000 mah button top and non button top and a few Orbtronic 2900 mah . I think somewhere I read button top battery's should not be used in a Provari I don't know where I got that idea from but its sticking in my head for some reason. I am new to Provari's I won this one in a contest and I love it. It is the Dragon limited edition full size.

you have to use button tops... flat tops don't work on them.

I use AW IMR batteries from RTDVapor..

That is what I have the AW IMR batteries. I have those in flat top but I think my Orbtronic 2900 mah's are button top. I have a bunch of AW IMR 2000 mah flat top batteries.

AW batts are recommended by the manufacturer, but other good quality batts work fine. I use a combination of AW's as well as some EFest button tops...no issues at all and I cant tell the difference in practical application....

yea the efest 18350's are terrible imo.. on the provari i get like an hour out of each one..

In order to prevent damage to the circuit board the Provari requires button top batteries. The positive terminal is recessed and contact will not be made if you put the battery in backwards or use a flat top battery.
