I have never built on a box mod before and i am picking this up on the way home. Right now my dodge is sitting at a .16 which i know is way too low for a regulated device. So my question is: What would be the suggested reading when building a coil for this mod? I currently have 24g,26g kanthal. As well as 28g, (30g or 32g) nichrome wire i was planning to use for a clapton coil that i never got around to.

I start to get nervous around .3, feel totally safe at .4. That's just me. (Plus I like battery life)

I have an IPV4 with a doge. I run Dual 24 gauge 6 wrap sleeper coil on it, I run it at 60 - 75 watts it chucks clouds and it gets a pretty decent battery life. (x2 High Voltage 35 amp 2500 mAh) On a box mod you shouldn't have to worry about going to .3, they make .25 ohm coil heads for sub ohm tanks. (I have one for my High Voltage Tank.)

Im using a .10 dual fused clapton with Nichrome80 on my ipv4. Going low doesn't concern me on a regulated mod. Good batteries are key.

I don't know the IPV4's recommended batteries. However, if you're talking about Samsung 25R batteries, they are rated at 20A continuous discharge. Therefore, in theory, you should be fine.

at this point i have yet to go lower then .2 just to be safe, and when i use a hybrid i rock like .4 just because ive only been at it about six months and want to be smart about it. I have a ways to go but i want to start really building. What are good batteries for .1 builds on mechs? any suggestions. I understand ohms law and i know sonys are damn near extinct, but can anyone recommend a safe battery for .1 builds that is readily available? Also ive never seen anything online about the ipv4 having a specific set of batteries to use I just bought two brand new samsungs 25rs because i have had good luck with them thus far and paired em to the device and i switch the sleds every time i charge. Im rambling now.. im at work and havnt slept in two days either way thanks for any replies you guy are the best.

Check out the battery junkies sub forum. You should be able to find your answer there.

t

thank you kindly. i see the pic of the provari zombie 2 is that one of your rigs? those look so awesome.
No, I own a ProVari 2.5, that I rarely use. However, I got this banner, when ProVape offered a banner to their customers. I mainly use my Sigelei 100+ and 150.

I ended up with a 24g kanthal 10 wrap dual coils and it came out to .47 ohms. Oh my does this thing chuck it. Not one build on my nemmy even at .12 ohm has ever hit this much vape like ever. Currently i run it at 70W and it's already doubled my cloud and if i kick it up to 100w i'm more than tripiling my cloud from my nemmy. I am not at all disappointed in regulated box mods now and this is my first one and i dont think i will ever go back to a mech.

Can you post a picture of that? I would really like to see it.

Just did another one as i was hoping for better outcome on cloud and flavor. Here is one I just made for fun. It is a staggered fused clapton. I Used 26g Nichrome80 core and 34g KanthalA1 for wraps. 3mm screwdriver. .18 ohms.StageredFusedClapton.jpg
