HI,
I GOT YOUT ATTENTION DIDN'T I?
Funny thing about that is 90% of people have plastic tanks and no idea that anyone would sell them
something, that they will inhale that will cause plastic to melt.....
Inhale something that will cause plasric to melt...what.. like ...gasoline, acetone?

I am fairly new to vaping and have been off the cigs in total for about 2 months,
I had ordered from mt baker as I had heard good things..hmmm.
I ordered 5 juices, I let them sit for 3 weeks and put some in a plastic tank
took a couple of puffs set it aside, Imagine my surprise to have the tank fall off the battery?

NOW why in the name of all that is sane and holy woul you put in something that will wreck a
persons gear, NO big red skull and cross bones on the bottle. NADA!

On top of that the juices were/are terrible, I mean really bad , makin chinese stuff look
good bad. Thay all have this base chemical taste, the blueberry will cause you to gag.

A 4 buck juice wrecked an 7 buck tank... thanks mt baker
Lucky that I did not load up all of the juices.

This concludes my rant.
Thank you!

Now on to the people who have done well by me .

A fellow Michigander. Welcome and congrats. Banana and cinnamon flavors are known to eat syringes and plastic ranks. I avoid plastic for that reason. A good glass tank will do wonders

That is why I went to glass tanks my first month of vaping. I was doing my research before ordering, kept reading about tank cracker juices. Nope, not going there! Ordered all glass so I wouldn't have to worry or keep track of which juice was going into what tank. Pure lazy, yep.

Hi guys,
Oh I have tanks out the yin yang mt 3 t3s a pro tank that I thought would be a great tank
Too breezy and heavy, It is not a vaporiser it's a Mace.
Funny for the vapor and the quiet I like the mt3s I have c4 c5 and they whistle.

I still for the life of me can not understand putting something in that will crack a tank.
Had mt bakers juice been any good , I would not buy from them for th fact that they put that stuff in it.
I have peach blueberry and licorice that I cannot use other than in the pro tank and it is a lousy vape

Im getting old.. why does something so simple have to be made complex?

I went and bought peach from firecreek and it does not crack tanks, I should have bought it from him in the first place..
mt bakers hook is the price, then they sell you krapola..... the ry4 I have just reeks of perfume.
The rum tobac.. I say they have never smoked tobac or had rum.....

Link to any plastic tanks that do not crack?
Danke!

This is my experience, exactly, misswish!

@blake2go Are these pre-made flavors you're talking about, or DIY flavorings?

All of these juices from mt baker are premixed juices they sell.
I just find that the glass is heavy odd to hold, for me i want something like a cig
balanced light. I have several cartos that fit the 510, but once again they are you airey and do not
produce much vapor..

Now something I did like was the analog types, I have found the mark 10 to be a good
hold in your hand and draw on like an ol ciggy.. though once again the people who decided on the juice had never smoked or seen tobacco. But if you pop the cap and pull the lil ring out they are refilllable.and light up orange
at the tip, a real seller for me, not like the blue light on the logic.
Those I toss in my pocket when the big ol vaporers are a pain.

Citric acid, and some other chem is the cracker chemical.
Can you dilute a cracker jice to the point that it will stop cracking?
Thanks for all of your input!

I had asked because you posted in the DIY section (and I can move this for you to general discussion or eliquid discussions). Mt. Baker sells flavorings, too. At least for now, they do.

I'd think diluting it down that much, you'd lose flavor altogether from something you're already not crazy about. The few times I did try Mt. Baker, they needed steep time. Helped tremendously. But, if you prefer plastic tanks, like mt3 or ce4/5, you're probably better off staying away from those type flavors.

I like mini protanks. They aren't heavy, I can vape any flavor in them. My full size is heavier, but doesn't bother me. I've been using it quite some time, now.

Ah sorry about my posting in the wrong section, eyes are not what they were.
I did let them steep and they are still foul the chemical taste in them, it is the same chem taste
You know in a world living in fear of the lawyer, and warnings everywhere, ...hot... says my cup of hot coffee.
That a juice make break your toys would be the warning I and all would need
WARNING THIS SHT WILL CRACK UR TANK!

Stupid for the seller to add whatever to a juice that breaks EQ.

As for diluting it,
Will it be made SAFE for the plastic tank?

I was hoping to salvage it as it is nic juice at 24

Since this is a DIY section.
I have made a tasty juice from a good quality pipe tobbaco, as well some, herb, juice ,though I have to say it tastes pretty odd I have made a coffee flavor using store bought natural coffee flavoring.

I am now working on an garlic/ wet dog flavor, I'll get back to you on that.

MBV used to have a warning list posted for possible tank crackers, but don't know if it's still up.
Since they "remodeled" the web page, things got lost IMO.
Mostly FW sourced flavorings, or they were, anyway.
One of the reasons I started DIY was because of the crappy pre-mixed stuff I always got.
I thought, "hey, I can do better than that", lol.
I've dumped a few but at least it was somewhat cheaper.
Had to switch to glass early on so I didn't have to worry anymore.
Improved flavor is a major plus, even with the simple PT clones, compared to the cig-a-likes IMO.

Hey!
I have all the toys..... I have the mark 10 for in my pocket they are really pretty good... providing you use your juice
lower voltage so that really harsh stuff you will not use in a clearo that is what I use in these.
light right size good balance lights up orange, yep for self delusion this is the thing.
I use the 510s at home or take one with me if I know ill need it....

I just ordered the blueberry tob and the marbro from firecreek these two really hit the right buttons
for a 2/3 pack a day smoker, I was surprised to find that I liked the blueberry, I was a streight tobac
smoker. Very tasty and smooth TH

I have been using the marbro as my base for adding other flavors, had been using ...rough neck it was not bad but not really my taste.

I have seen the places to order flavors for DIY anyone have aa fav? Tob types

Mt. Baker does have "tank cracker" warnings on their website if you scroll down far enough to see them. There are several light weight Pyrex tanks out there, ELeaf puts out a nice bottom coil glass tank, very affordable. Check them out at EVapes. Cinnamon is generally always a tank cracker, citrus, and some fruits that aren't citrus will crack them. It's the acid content of the essence.

Next I sell gasoline, it is very good gasoline, however it will disolve all of the rubber in your enigne.
SO how much of my gas will you be buying? It is just STUPID to put anything in a jice that will cause people to die get sick or wreck their property, BUT you all have become sheep, let them FK u and you come back for more.
Go get a glass tank to beat the people trying tp wreck my plastic ones....

Just mix the juice 50/50 with equal parts Vodka and Vinegar. That ought to get you exactly what you need, and it won't crack your tank.

There was this really pretty young lady and she knew that I vaped, which at the time was a rare thing. So she gives me a bottle of thug juice, I tried not to laugh, imagining a gangster vaping. Anyhow, took it home and even though the bottle looked janky and butt ugly, I decided to vape it anyway. The bottle said it had an EXTRA flavorshot LMAO

It was the worst tasting juice, I have ever tried, the taste was so putrid that I had to make new coils, and boil my rda.

I have never ordered anything from mnt baker vaper, and I never plan on it.

There is a reason that shit is cheap, its shit =)

Well, sorry you feel that way Blake. I feel like everyone shared their experiences. And you'd also been given good suggestions on learning more about the products you choose to vape. If diluting something you're not crazy about to begin with is how you wanted to do it, then by all means, try it out. Might as well vape unflavored base. Maybe no one had the experience because most people do upgrade if their fave juices depend on it. That was my experience. Tank crackers needed better gear. Period.

Enjoy wherever you end up and hope you don't get banned for attitude. You're always welcome here, even with one.

Please, someone correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think it's something being added to the juice. I believe it's the composition of the flavoring itself. Certain flavorings are KNOWN to be tank crackers, thus the tank cracking juice lists that Teresa P mentioned.

Who is forcing you? You do the tank thing at your own risk, you come to our forum and come off completely rude to members you ask advice from, drop links, and now want your account deleted, I am afraid not and your thread will now get moved to the area to which it belongs.

Mt. Baker has a forum too. Maybe the OP should take his maniacal rant there, since they seem to be the ones "spiking" his juice. ;)

While I am sorry you lost a plastic tank.......................................

It took me less than a minute to come up with these list of Tank Crackers via Google.

Here is the list from Mt. Baker.

http://blog.mtbakervapor.com/e-juice-that-may-break-a-plastic-tank/

Here is another from Discount Vapers

http://www.discountvapers.com/liquids-and-tanks/

And from EC Blend Flavors...

http://www.ecblendflavors.com/polycarbonate-tanks-warning/

So my advice is to write your tank off as a learning experience, save the above list for future reference or just say no to plastic tanks and go with Glass or Quartz and to hell with tank crackers and let them do their worst!:D

The reason plastic tanks crack is because of two reasons: a) the plastic itself is NOT a high quality, so it cracks. and b) there are certain flavor extracts that EVERY juice maker uses that has a natural acid in it that will crack a plastic tank. Those flavors are generally: any citrus (lime, lemon, orange, etc) most cola flavors, banana flavors and all red hot style cinnamon flavors. I may have missed one or two, but these flavorings have always cracked tanks. It is not the juice maker who is putting something in the flavors to cause it, it is just the way these flavors are. That is why most people will suggest a glass tank instead of a plastic one.

Unfortunately the OP just wanted to rant about Mt Baker, looks like he will be cracking a lot more plastic tanks in the future because the whole juice industry is out to get him and break his tanks.

Let me see if I can put this gently.......if you take away everything that has the possibility of messing up plastic tanks, you aren't left with a hell of a lot of flavors. But yeah, go buy yourself a 5 dollar glass tank already

I use the RGM2 Bottom Coil Clearomizer (2.0mL), $3.32 at Fast Tech on my eGo clones when I'm out and about. They are fairly lightweight, though no air flow control so they hit on the tight side. They are kind of an Aspire ET-S clone, with a single coil and a glass tank.
list from Mt. Baker
It is because of this list and others that I switch to using only glass or metal with e-liquid. I do have an Aqua v2 that came with a metal and an acrylic tank that hasn't cracked yet.
I passed on many cool looking tanks because they only came with plastic tanks. I went for the Aqua v2 because it also came with a metal tank which I haven't needed to use yet.
All my early plastic tanks melted. The Evod tanks looked so cool while they lasted. I see that Evods now come as glass tanks, but I have moved on to RBA/RDA's for use in my vaping lair.

Just to be clear, it isn't "acid" in the liquid that causes tank cracking, its chemical incompatibility that does. The plastic in question is called "polycarbonate".

Carry on...

Did you order online OP? I'm thinking you did, and funnily enough I ordered from them online too.
You would of got an email confirmation of your order. I will not supply the link because I couldn't be bothered, but this is clearly written, in the email I received.

Please refrain from using the following flavors in plastic tanks: Licorice flavors, Cinnamon flavors, Citrus flavors, Soda Flavors, Cherry flavors, Apple flavors and Amaretto flavors. For a full list of flavors reported to have cracked polycarbonate tanks please visit here!

See where it says here, click on that for a full list. IN YOUR EMAIL.

tldr: LEARN TO READ.
