How do you change flavors (in one tank)?

So I'm just curious how those of you with just one tank change flavors of juice.

I just wait until my clearo goes down to about 1/5th full of juice and then fill the rest up with a different juice. It never seems to leave "ghost flavor" of the last juice. I do clean my clearo every few days but I'd never wash off the wick between filling the tank because the juice is so f***ing expensive. I will admit the majority of my flavors are different tobaccos, so I could understand why I probably don't experience a bad mix of flavor. But sometimes I put in non-tobacco flavors and they don't mix too badly either.

What do you guys do, just out of curiosity?

I do it two ways
1: I buy a lot of smoktech RBC($3) and ARO V2($5) , both take the kanger bottom single coils that cost less than $1
2: when my Nautilus mini tank get low I refill with a flavor that I think will mix well with what left in the tank (I just added 3/4 tank of Cheesecake with 1/4 leftover Cinnamond Danish,,before that was sweet cream, before that was blackberry before that was baverian cream, before was vanilla swirl, before that was strawberry (ripe) and it goes on and on, each tank is something new.

I'm really not following you, lol. You have an ARO v2... ok help. Do yours have issue with contact? I have several different brand eGo batts, an iTaste vv3, an MVP2 and a Provari 2.5. That danged tank never makes contact on any of them, even with the stock coil base. I've tried raising the center pin on the batts, lowering the positive post a tad on the coil head... I even made a thread about this a while back. I used to love this little tank - when it worked right.

For changing flavors with one tank, I basically do the same. It gets low enough, I fill it with something that will at least mix ok with the last flavor. Then I go buy another tank, because back ups are important, lol. Seriously.

Right now I have 7 ARO V2 and about 10 RBC. I take the coils out and clean the tank with HOT water and then put a new coil in then the juice I'm going to test. Some times I have to pull the post from the battery up , usually pull the coil down to make contact I try to keep the batteries and tanks stay matched with each other. Once you find a pair that the contact tough I leave them alone
I have 3 nautilus mini and one full size nautilus that I use.

Agh!!! My internet died out of nowhere.

It's a finicky little tank. Thanks @RMarcusY

Yep any of those EVOD tanks can be super finicky if you get some sub par coils since they depend on the coil to make contact with the 510. I used to lightly sand down the bottom skirt on the atty to allow me to snug it down a bit more.

But, to the OP's question. You didn't mention what type of clearos you use, but if it's an evod type or something with a removable core this is what I used to do. Drain the tank back into your bottle. Remove the core, but don't rinse it. Just wrap a paper towel tightly around the wick area for about 10 minutes. It will soak up most of what's in the coil (it's not much at all maybe 2 drops!) Then blow through the coil a few times and re-assemble.

I do have several tanks all running at one time... but for a single tank changeover here is what I do...
  1. Vape it down to almost dry
  2. Dump any remaining juice (normally just a few drops)
  3. Gently dab the wicks on a paper towel to soak out remaining juice
  4. Refill with another juice from same category (for example... I use one tank for only strawberries, another for only blueberries, another for only custards...)

I should have also mentioned that when the time comes to take apart the atomizer and clean it or change a head, I dump any remaining juice and squeeze the wick into a small cup, and then suck it all up into my "saving" bottle which is now full of ten different flavors. I just use that juice to test my rebuilt atomizers now. But hey, all ten flavors together isn't that bad!

I don't think I would save anything squeezed out of the wicks.. this juice has already been heated/burnt and will ruin the rest of your good juice.

i usually get flavors that are pretty similar to avoid this. i accidentally topped off my half empty looper tank with anti lag by boosted this morning and it was the most beautiful mistake i couldve made.

I use a mini protank clone. I vape until tank is empty, take it apart and rinse with warm water, remove wick, dry everything, dry burn the coil for a few seconds, insert new rayon wick, saturate said wick, fill tank, and enjoy. Takes me about five minutes. o_O

When I'm done with a coil I have a baby food jar of West Virgina Moonshine and I throw the coil in the jar. In a day or so I pull them out & let dry. This way you all ways have clean coils. The moonshine kills ANY flavor.

I empty my sub tank and usually clean the tank with hot water I put the coil aside and clean the base also, dry rebuild fill with new juice and vape. use the same coil over, they seem to last forever. If I use similar juices I don't clean anything just refill after a few minutes all you taste is the new juice. Some juices are strong flavored and for these if the coil is not that old I will zip lock bag it write on the bag what was in it and how many tanks through it and reuse at a later date. Not sure on other tanks since once I got a sub tank mini I can't use any of my pro tanks or mini nautiluses anymore.

YMMV
