Male versus Female Vapers

Which is more likely to own more vaping equipment/supplies? Are males more likely to search and search for the ultimate vape, while females are more likely to choose a comfortable vape? Are males the searchers and females the settlers? Offhand, my prediction is that males will own more hardware, while females will own more juice varieties.

I'm a 'keep it simple stupid' type of gal when it comes to gear but I do have a boatload of different juices. My 1 year vaperversary is next Monday and I still have bottles that I bought when I first started vaping.

My wife says she's not a gear junkie but she's always snagging my drippers and tanks. I'm definitely more of the collector of the two of us but she's got a gearhead streak in her she just doesn't like to admit it.

oh man.. i could really have some fun on this thread but I'll try and keep it on topic..

i will say that it seems like females are much more into DIY and making juice than guys are.. and i'm not trying to be sexist at all but is this because it closely resembles cooking? Are DIY'ers really good cooks too? or am i making a terrible assumption that will eventually lead to a virtual slap in the face?

personally I just don't have the patience to do DIY - i barely have the patience to build my own coils..

Women don't have any business building coils and reading ohm meters. That's far too technical and complicated for them. They should just stick to plug-n-play vaping while keeping themselves in the kitchen, making me a sandwich.

There, now it's out of the way.

Good luck with that.

I have a lot of hardware, build my own coils, make my own liquids and even have my own tools. That aren't pink. :p OTOH, my son is still happy with a Vamo, cartotanks and has been vaping the same 2 TPR liquids for almost 2 years. So who knows.

I think men, for the most part, buy more vape shit than women do, and most likely, the more pricey stuff too.

But I do NOT think that is exclusive to guys. We just tend to be more gear-centric than women are.

A similar situation arose within my own family...not only who had the most vape gear, but who could blow the biggest clouds....the girls or guys...my whole family vapes and has been for the last two years...it was a tie on the most gear but us guys blew clouds on our builds the girls could only dream about...BTW, it's 3 guys, 4 girls and ages range from 21 to 57 yrs old...interesting thread..lol

My boyfriend and I are in constant battle. He has a small collection of Authentic items while I only have 3 (Talking proper mods and atomizers, not Protank/Nautilus and MVP). However, I have him beat far and away in the number of atomizers. I also beat him by 15:1 in juice since he's only gotten 4 bottles ever, I'm always on the search for a new good juice and he gets the ones I can't stand lol.
As for building, he has 0 patience. He will wrap the coil but 9 times out of 10 I have to go in and fix the coils. My OCD means I'm never satisfied until the coil is perfect.
He's a cloud chaser, I'm a flavor chaser. He uses a Sigelei and Freakshow/Doge X/Subtank while I use a VaporShark rDNA and Derringer/Kayfun Undead/Atlantis.

Well I started vaping at the end of Oct. I went from your cheapo starter kit, to rebuildables fairly fast. I have tanks, drippers, vv/vw mods, and mechanical mods. Some of this was given to me. I have all kinds of juice. But only my cc company can tell you how far in the red I really am. Oh, and yes, I am a female.

Oh, and I am not a cloud chaser at all. I love them, but I don't need to have the steam locomotive cloud going on. I'm mainly into the flavor. The more varieties, the better.

4 senior female members right here - probably also add @Just Me to the list - who go through equipment more quickly than I go through socks.

@Kkay Ha! I started with Egos and Vivi Novas. Learned to rebuild those to save money. Then I got a Mini Protank 3, a Nautilus, and a MVP. Within 4 months of starting I had a VaporShark DNA30 and my first Kayfun. It's gone downhill from there!

I was going through way too may coils on my clearomizers. It was too expensive. I thought I was going to save money...ha. Well someone sent me a Kayfun to try out. I was given coils, wick, and Kayfun plastic tank parts. The rest is history. This was maybe a month after I started vaping. I build my own coils of course. If I had more expendable money, I would definitely have more gear. I was given my first mech mod, and dripper too. That fueled my obsession for sure. I have NOT had ONE cigarette since I started vaping, not even a puff off of one.

i think guys are with vaping equipment just like they are with cars and trucks and guns. the bigger and more powerful the better....to compensate for what they lack between their loins. :p

Don't know about that @kelli...lol..but I do know I started off with the XXIX and learned about ohms law and to build safely..next I went the provari/kayfun route and found that to be really lame..next I got a couple BCV BFM's and assorted RDA's, and my last purchases were these two IPV3's that I run the fabulous Arctic Subtanks on with the .2ohm coils...next I may get the new IPV4 when it's in stock at Eciggity...I know its not a lot of gear but I've got a bunch money invested already...and it has nothing to do with what I drive or what is hanging between my legs. Lol...just so you know.. Have a nice day!

@kelli you hit the nail on the head! Cars, trucks, guns, and vape gear! It's like a religion! Lol

@smacksy I'm gonna try to keep this derail short, how you like the Arctic?? Been toying with getting one. I have an Atlantis and he has a Subtank so I know how those compare.

So are males always searching?
Are females more likely to settle?
I can see that both males and females collect gear and juices.
Searching for the best flavor? Searching for the most powerful unit? The biggest cloud? Who has the best tasting juice? Who has the biggest cloud? Tasty juice AND a huge cloud would satisfy most. A huge cloud is not always a good idea, but tasty juice is always a good idea.

Opinions vary...for us huge clouds also produce huge flavor as well as a good nicotine buzz on just a few hits...and after all, I for one, strive for the best vape possible for my money spent...
fe01bc29377d41598fa6e53fe1ba2dbc.jpg

Pic is typical I like to blow enjoying great flavor......not the biggest cloud but not bad for starters...taken 2yrs ago when I started vaping..using an XXIX/patriot..
26bac05b93d062715b807c168661cfa1.jpg

Clouds/flavor has improved considerably since then.. Recently I had some fun fogging up my room under the blacklight...but for us anyway, clouds and flavor go hand-in-hand.

Let's see as far as gear goes I have 2 regulated devices, 1 mechanical box mod, a dripper, and a Lemo. As for juice I'm down to my last 10ml's, but that will change tomorrow oh and my Hana Modz DNA 40 will be here tomorrow. My Hana DNA 30 clone is currently with my brother and a friend is buying my sigelei 150, so after tomorrow I'll be down to the DNA 40, my mechanical box, the dripper, and the Lemo. I intend to run the Lemo on the DNA 40 and the dripper on the mech. That should be all the gear I need. That is until I go to Top Notch Vapor in Columbus Saturday and end up buying something else. While I have both male and female friends, family members, coworkers, and acquaintances none of them vape so I have nothing to compare myself too, I need to find more like minded people to hang out with lol.

Huh....

I own two trucks, a metric shit ton of guns and ammo (that sadly was lost in a freak boating accident), shit piles of chainsaws and firewood equipment, a UTV, piles of DIY stuff for making juice, another shit ton of mods and atties, and a tool box 8 foot tall, loaded with tools.

I am not compensating for anything. I am prepared. :)

Now, lets talk about purses, shoes, clothes, and other assorted trinkets you ladies have. What are you ladies compensating for?

Okay Kyle, unless you just started, it seems I am way obsessed more than you. I just can't puff away on one or two devices. (I'm not saying you do) I have to have a full arsenal of flavors at my fingertips. I am still in search of the best flavors. I have found some good ones. The ones I thought initially were good, have been beaten by others. Money has been the only thing holding me back from major purchases. Regardless, because of upcoming regulations, I have pulled out that little plastic card time and again. The initial starter kit is blah to me now. I just can't vape on it. I am going to give it away. I have been happy thus far with my clones. I do have an MVP2, IStick-their first one, and a Innokin SVD2. But then I was given a Panzer. Then I had to have a SMPL mod, then a Stingray X clone. Thanks to friends online, I have been given 3 Kayfun 3.1 tanks. I bought a Aqua v2, and then a Lemo Drop. Given a Magma dripper. Love it, then I had to try a Vulcan, and a Derringer. So as you can see...this is all in a very short time frame. I think I may have an itsy bitsy problem.

freemind, I don't collect things you'd expect from a woman...I collect for my hobbies. I get rather single minded in my search to better my hobby and add to it. ;)

That depends if we're talking 50 watt mods or ego batteries. I have ego batteries in like 8 different colors. I would suspect if we're talking ego batteries or box mods women will have more. If we're talking RDAs men will have more.

Me and the wife been vaping 2 years in 2 days, I've had tons of vape gear, build my own coils, and build my wifes protank coils, she is happy with her little tanks and clk (like ego's)

She has tried my mods and tanks, and she says they are to big and heavy, and she can't vape from my tanks, she says they are too strong, even though only using 6mg.

How about a Kayfun 3.1 ES, and a Derringer? They also make nano tanks, but I've never tried that. Flavors to me, are like shoes to some women...lolllllll.

Losing your firearms in a boating accident is very common in the gun community, believe it or not.
