Problems updating iPV3

Hey guys!
I just went and purchased an iPV3 box mod finally and I am having problems updating the software!
The file I download says it is a .0.8ohm file type and I can not seem to change it! Any advice?

I have heard that you need to remove the batteries before updating?

I have removed the batteries. Just can't get the file type to change. All the instructions say to unzip the file but it won't even be recognized by winrar

Why are you updating it? Are you having a problem with it or something? I bought one of these and I'm still running it as it was when I got it, so if you're not having problems I wouldn't advise messing with it unless you really need the extra 15 watts.

That having been said, here is a video on how to update. I haven't tried it, but maybe it can help you out.

The update allows your mod to be more accurate - allows you to drop to .08 ohms and reads more accurately.... My local shop did mine for me...

Try changing the file name. if in windows, right click, change file name, add .zip to end of file name, save. Should change the to a zip file, then unpack as usual. Should work. If apple I can't help you do use apple sorry. As for actually updating I would follow the video posted. Hope this helps if not let me know I'll see if I can take a look at the file download from the site for you.

extract from zip right click file extracted go to properties and add .sxi to the file name so it started with this name ipv3-upgrate-165w-0.08ohm now it should be ipv3-upgrate-165w-0.08ohm.sxi

Like previously mentioned why would you want to update for another 15w? I have two IPV3's that are stock but who in the hell vapes at 150w? Max I've vaped at is 90w and that was way too hot! Lol
I use my separate ohm meter to test my builds anyway so I don't need that extra decimal in the IPV3 ...And I've found that I don't have to build lower than .2 ohms like I did using my mechs..
My philosophy is if it anit broke don't fix it... Lol

Because he can and he wants to... To each his own ..... It makes it more accurate as well from my experience.

I agree with you on the wattage though- going above 60 for me is uncomfortable....
