Jellyfish box mod. Should I get it?

Why?

For the price you can get better mods.

Some have said the Jellyfish is junk (board).

Look at brands that are popular. They are for a reason.

I played with one a while back, for the money there are much better options out there.
I'm looking for a 60-100w mod myself and waiting toll after China new year to see what pops on the market
Right now the Sigeli100w plus is imho a much better option for less money.
The yihi sx 330 and sx350 chips are generally are all good board.

From what I've seen they aren't very good. For the money, you can do a lot better.

From the reviews I have seen the Jellyfish will only let you vape at the wattage range it recommends. I would pass.

A mod that fires all resistances hot and does not have any accuracy at all is a deal breaker for me.
You'd think if it was going to be smart enough to tell you what wattage to use it could at least give you the correct power...WTF!

I have had 2, they aren't the most accurate, it hits harder at 53 watts than most do at 75-80 watts, it is a hard hitter on anything u put on it. Te only thing I can't complain about is battery life, it lasts a while and is great for charging other things, but other than that, if save money and get something more accurate and with more range.

Ohms are jumpy too sometimes, and I've also had it completely stop working for a short period of time, it's unique for sure.

Well if you are looking for a non replaceable battery mod I would go with the new smoke tech 80w with temp control for around $60 If you want a quality mod with replaceable batteries go with the sigelei 150w for $89 at jjvapes if still in stock

Honestly go for the sigelei 100w. Everybody loves them. Hell if I didn't make my mods I'd have one

Quick question about the Sigelei 100w. Can I use an Aerotank on it? Or do I need an atomizer that goes on a dripper?

Can't see why not, I'm guessing 12w is the sweet spot for that tank (never used it). If I was just starting out I would probably get the Istick 50w with the subtank mini or if you want higher wattage and clouds arctic tank and a sig 100w or 150w

I'm not starting out. I've been vaping for a little over a year. I have two iTaste VTR's and one fuhattan dripper. I was gonna sell the fuhattan so I can get the box mod

If you want a 100w mod, the ipv4 comes out in a couple of weeks. Its supposed to be n the 95-100$ range as well. AMD looks to have a slightly more comfortable form factor .
Curious though, why would you sell your mechanical? Those fuhattems are nice.

First off, it's a clone so people look down apon it. Second, the coils, and changing the cotton all the time isn't for me. I'd rather stick with a tank.

I can understand the style of vaping not being for you, but you can't let what someone on an internet forum thinks about the 'clone' status get to you. I use mostly authentic gear, but, I also use some clones, especially when in the case of an orchid for example, the authentic ones are like an endangered species or the clones have a series of improvements. Not to mention dropping 100-200 dollars on some gear that you don't now if you'll like is just out of my personal comfort zone.
My 4nine authentic and 4nine clone are a little difficult to tell apart; and, honestly I don't like taking the authentic out of he house. if I lose a 25$ mod, oh well. If I lose a 180$ mod i'll cry like a little girl.
Just saying, after a year of vaping the clone CS authentic argument is so old to me, with so may actual issues out there that matter how much someone spends on a mod to stop them fro, smoking should be the least of our concern, maintaining the ability to buy any of them without fed approval should be.

Sorry, didn't intend to get in my soapbox, I'm still new here. going back to earning the right to speak my Mind,

Well, in that case welcome to Vaping Underground lol. The only authentic mods I have are my iTaste VTR's I have the older and newer version. I posted a video of me vaping with my vtr on Instagram and some asshole was like weak clouds lol. I was like, you do understand that it's not a dripper right? The guy never responded. I was also like I'm about taste, not blowing vapor like a fucking dragon.

I like both, in all honesty, depending on my mood. Yesterday I was using a mech with a dual parallel build like a kid at cloud comp(i'll never understand the concept of a cloud comp) today I was using an aqua2 on a dna40.-(yes the aqua is authentic )
I have bipolar raping habits, lmao!!!
But the one thing I've figured out, is whether its a 30$ clone or a 180$ authentic if its a quality built device and the build is what you like - and you're not smoking- that's All that really matters .

Some people will find any little thing to dig on. a few days after I got my first authentic setup (praxis/derringer ) I went to a shop to get some wire and juice, the kid was asking a ton of questions about it, since no reviews were not out yet. Then he asked what batteries I used. so I pulled out a 25r. next thing he said was "dude those suck you need to find some vtc5s, that where its at"
First- I dont know what 'its' is.
second- fuck you i'll order from lightening vapes from now on.

Bottom line. I just use what I like and can care less what anyones opinion of me is based off my gear. All it has to do is make tasty vapor.

Yeah the range of options available now are insane! I've only been vaping for ~6 months and I've seen some huge shifts in the quality of the gear available just in that time. I wish I could have started 6 months ago with a subtank I could have saved so much more money!

Exactly. Cloud comps are for idiots. They should rename it "see how much smoke you can get" lol. I don't see the point in trying to blow clouds like a fucking dragon. It's about flavor. I guess people don't see the way we do...

I remember my first vape setup. It was an iTaste vv with I believe a small iclear tank (maybe the 16?)

I bought my sigelei 150w for $120 from my local shop. They can be had for cheaper online.
Screw that jellyfish. Get a device with a decent track record.
I cant imagine what this sea creature has that a sig 100-150 or ipv3 doesnt have for a similar price.

Funny Phil mentioned this review in his istick 50 review, not bashing the istick this time but still hating on the jelly.

I've had my jellyfish for over a week now and i love this thing with my delta 2 tanks w/rta heads and freakshow rda. Battery lasts all day, flavor is awesome, charges my phone, makes big clouds. The thing i like the best is with my freakshow rda .55 ohm dual coil 26g kanthal, no matter what the wattage setting is the coils heat up instantly and evenly. If you dont get all hung up on the numbers bs and just vape then its awesome. Ps...I got mine for $100 so im happy for now...it'll hold me over until i get my build skills up enough for a bigger fancy custom box.
