The chance that anyone from ECF would happen to wander into that little book fair at the library on a Saturday morning was so slim anyway, it just seemed so absurd that they would make such a big deal out of it. What did they think was going to happen, all their members were going to fly in from all over the world to take me up on my offer and I'd get rich off it and they wouldn't get their cut? Lol. It was just so preposterous.
