Kayfun 3.1 (clone) sub ohming?

I recently got a kayfun 3.1 for 15$ from the guy at a vape shop i know, so i figured what the heck thats cheap ill test it out. Currently i have a 1.1 ohm build and its an ok vape, Air hole is a bit tighter than i prefer when its fully open. Has anyone ever tried to build it lower? Any advise on the tube piece that goes over the deck, has anyone ever had it just unthread while in use? The 1.1 build is just a micro coil about 5-6 wraps of 28g with japanese organic cotton. The flavor is quiet nice currently but wanna try to get a bigger hit, might get the machinest at work to make the hole a bit bigger to increase airflow if it can wick good in a sub ohm build.

The lowest I ever went with a Kayfun was .7 ohms. And it was rather nice. I still didn't get monster clouds but I got a decent throat hit. I was using a Kayfun lite and I drilled out the airflow to 2.5 mm

If a variable device is being used there is no reason to use a low resistance build on a kayfun. I'm using a 7/64" diameter, 28g, 9 wrap, cotton build on mine at 16.5 watts. Flavor is outstanding. A 5-6 wrap micro coil doesn't provide much surface area. I suggest increasing diameter and wrap count if it's being run on a variable mod. High resistance is irrelevant if you can increase the voltage to make the power you want.

Im currently using it on an IPV mini. Ive only removed the screw to adjust the air flow to get a better lung hit still slightly restrictive but a decent hit.

I have the same Kayfun. Through the airhole screw into the garbage, if I remember correctly. Same as I did with the Kayfun V4. Anyways, I usually vape the 3.1 under 1 ohm. I think it's coiled at about .80. Hardly sub-ohming as it's come to be known.

Yea at 1.1ohm its not ad at all, im tempted to get our machinest at work to make the air hole a bit larger but looking at the base where the coil sits im not sure if itll help much, but so far its been a good buy. Still hard to use it full time with a rda and an atlantis on the go aswell lol

It looks like that Kayfun V4 is also coming soon. I'm thinking to buy it.
