My take on Silverplay vs. Goblin

Utilizing mainly RDAs at home, I was always looking for a RBA with a good airflow. Finally, there are two to choose from. Both have excellent airflow, that can be controlled as well. There are just minor advantages and dis-advantages. The Silverplay has a larger deck, so I was able to build a coil with a 24 gauge wire with a 2.5mm ID. In addition, you can use parts of your Russian or Kayfun to customize your Silverplay. On the Goblin I could only use a 26 gauge and a 2mm ID. Wicking is tricky! On both, the wicks go partially into the juice channel. On the Silverplay, there's a notch that can be used as a guideline, 'cause that's how far the wick needs to go into the channel. I used a similar approach on the Goblin. However, the wick needs to be trimmed, in order to be able to screw the chimney on properly, due to the small deck. The Silverplay only has a small "window" to check on the amount of liquid left in the tank, where the Goblin's level is visible almost all the way down to the deck. Both have a 3ml capacity for your juice, unless you use Kayfun/Russian parts on the Silverplay. Flavor, the way I used wattage and airflow, was surprisingly good. Overall, I think they perform equally well.

I just asked this question on another thread. How does one get a silverplay? They were sold out in january and dated to be back on feb10, that date came and went, now they are saying feb20. I have never seen them in stock at vapordna.
Do I need to preorder or is it 'first come first serve'? I have no idea.

Update: I've been using both equally. I noticed, re-filling the Goblin with my usual 80VG/20PG juice required some patience, due to the narrow space between the glass wall and the chimney. It takes the juice a while to spread in this small confinement. It spills over the filling hole, while filling the tank. Therefore, you have to wait, until it spreaded out properly, before squeezing in more juice. In addition, I've noticed slightly leaked juice, and it seems to come out of the filling hole/screw.
I used the same juice in my Silverplay and did not encounter these issues.

If I would buy another RBA, it would be the Silverplay, due to the wider deck, not leaking, and the ability to utilize Kayfun/Russian parts.

I've had problems with my bottom fill on the silver play. Sometimes I top fill which can cause it to leak for a min. But when I fill from the bottom using a needle tip bottle I get about 2drops and it will back up. I looked at it and the hole isn't even drilled all the way thru (like a corner is still there).

I've had the Goblin from a UD facebook contest I won since the first us shipment was released. My brother got the silverplay at the same time. I've used both fairly extensively and just cant get the Goblin to perform like the SP. At this point i'm waiting for the arctic tank or the UD Goliath before I pull the trigger on another tank I think. After testing both with the same build and the same wattage back to back- SP was better IMHO. Smoother (and more) airflow, easier to wick perfectly. My $0.02.

I haven't had this issue. I'm filling both with a needle tip bottle (fully inserted).

The 1Q Bell Cap is smaller than the original tank of the Kayfun. You seem to have missed the part in the description, where it says "...Also comes with a shorter Chimmney..."

The new UD Goblin V1.2 is out now. It comes with an additional 5ml tank and a chimney for it.
