100% Designed, Engineered, and Developed by Project Sub-Ohm™

SilverPlay™ RTA by Project Sub-Ohm™ is the first RTA rebuildable tank atomizer that is 100% designed, 100% Engineered, 100% developed by Project Sub-Ohm™! When we created this magnificent RTA, we have THREE simple goals we need to achieve, Functionality, Affordability, and Compatibility:

Functionality - In order to create a cloud chasing RTA with amazing flavor production, we decided to utilize a dual coil platform with the center post been split for ease of build. The center post has also been raised ever so slightly to shorten the distance to the top of the chimney, to increase flavor and vapor production. The FOUR juice channels, and FOUR airflow holes are widened to the extreme to allow more air to juice ratio, to make sure you are getting sufficient air and juice delivery when you vape each and every time. Top chimney is now widened to a gigantic 6mm in diameter compares to standard 4mm chimney, to produce more intense and satisfying vapor. We also designed a revolutionary dual to quad, quad to dual airflow system. This unique airflow system allows air to come in through the bottom of the base, also from both directions of the negative posts holes. When all FOUR airflow holes are open, you are in cloud chasing mode; when you choose to close off the two side airflow holes, leaving just the two main airflow holes open, you are in flavor chasing mode. This way you have the ability to adjust airflow holes in pairs, giving you the desired draw with simple twist of the AFC ring.

Affordability - When we started this project back in April of 2013, we wanted to create a sub $40 RTA but features dual coil deck, cloud chasing and flavor chasing RTA that is extremely well made. Eight month later, we got it!

Compatibility - SilverPlay™ is not just a RTA, it's a foundation, a start to an ecosystem. SilvePlay™ RTA is compatible with 90% of the Kayfun, Russian Accessories on the market, some accessories will fit on SilverPlay™ by simply changing the cloud chasing 6mm top chimney to a standard 4mm top chimney.

Product Features:

  • Made from 304 Stainless Steel Construction
  • 22mm in diameter to fit most of your mod flush
  • Even with such sophisticated internal design, the SilverPlay™ can still hold a outstanding 3ml of E-Juice
  • Top THREE layer heat fins are installed to cool down some of the hottest vape
  • Pyrex glass / Stainless Steel Barrel construction to give you that peak window to look at your juice level as well as to serve as a protection to the pyrex glass
  • Chimney is a two piece design, top chimney opening is 6mm in diameter to increase cloud and flavor production
  • Due to the incredible air vacuum system we put in place, the SilverPlay is leak resistant. From our testing, the SilverPlay has not leaked at all!
  • Base is a FOUR post design with split center post for ease of build. Center posts are raised slightly get the vapor closer to the chimney top, results in amazing flavor and vapor production
  • FOUR deep juice channels total to give you sufficient juice delivery
  • FOUR airflow holes, two main airflow holes hits the coils from underneath, two negative airflow holes to hit the coils from the back
  • When FOUR airflow holes are open, you are in cloud chasing mode; when two negative airflow holes are blocked off, you are in flavor chasing mode. Two main airflow holes can also be adjustable while the two negative airflow holes are turned off
  • Adjustable airflow control ring is used for ease of controlling your airflow
  • Negative Posts are milled to the deck for rigidity and maximum conductivity

Man this looks sick. I was going to order a billow today but I think I'm going to pick this up instead. Anyone out there use one yet?

This does look like a winner. And it's not $140 like their last tank.

I have one on order. Can't beat the price for something from Project Ohm even though it reminds me of a modded Orchid. I'm surprised they're not sold out already.

How about giving us a picture of the deck!!! Designed in house and for sale on their own website but they can't take a picture of the deck. Good luck with that.

Nice big juicy air holes. Not sure what the step down to the juice channels are for.

I've gone through a few orchids and loved the dripper like performance out of it. Just wanted pyrex so I can vape my tank crackers. Also the ring that opens up from 2 air holes to 4 air holes...are all 4 connected to the 2 that sit under the coil??

It looks to me like from the description the 2 base holes in front and behind the deck connect to the 2 main air inlets under the coil; whereas the 2 on the side funnel air up through the negative screw posts. I'm thinking the side 2 are similar to the airflow on a PlumeVeil deck.

This was my impression as well.

Yeah, I've been scratching my head on that one.
It says the secondary air flow is from both directions of the negative posts holes.
I don't see any holes other than the ones that lock your wire in. I guess that would work but it's not focusing that flow onto the coil (neither does plume or CLT I guess) and not a lot of room for the air to exit once filled with wire.

I just got mine in today, got it set up to .6 with 7 wraps of 26 ga. This thing is blowing my other tanks away. I still don't see how the airflow works how they described. I only see the 2 air holes under each coil on the deck. Seems like the 4 hole setting just opens it up as wide as they go, maybe it changes the way the air flows around the coil but as far as i can tell, the 2 holes under each coil on the deck is the only way you are pulling air in.

I'm not complaining though, this tank is well worth the 40 bucks.....it beats the orchid by a long shot. The screws are well made and didn't cut through my kanthal when i was building it. The threads are incredibly smooth and the tank feels solid as a whole.

I've also been laying it in all sorts of directions, trying to make it leak if possible. The only leaking I got was when i filled it the second time, a little bit came through the drip tip due to me over filling it. Besides that, the air holes are bone dry with no juice coming out (which was my problem with the orchid)

Tank capacity is small (3 ml) and having it .6 ohm at 45 watts on my ipv3 makes it burn through the juice pretty quickly but i expected that. I ran it all the way up to about 60 watts which is were it started struggling to keep up in wicking.

Flavor production is amazing when its just 2 airholes. I'm vaping some peaches and cream pie juice I mixed up and I can taste everything on it. On my tugboat I actually couldn't taste the pie crust very well, On this its popping out perfectly.

When you switch over to 4 holes the cloud come out to play. Its not competition size but it still caused me to roll my windows down in my car due to low visibility!

I work in a secure facility so I can't take any pictures right now, but I'll be sure to post some when I get home if you guys want to see them.

I give this tank a 9/10, would get a 10/10 if it have a bit more capcity

I've found that i was being a little over zealous with running it at 40 watts. With a 50/50 blend it was fine, but i switched over to 80/20 and i had to drop it down to 25-30 watt range seems to be pretty fine. And with it down there my ipv3 batteries have lasted over 2 days.....with my dripper at .2ohms i get less than a day!

The secondary air holes are on the outer side of the negative posts. Not very much threading above the wire holes on both negative posts. It needed a very good cleaning before use, threads were somewhat crunchy from machining debris, and a lot of machine oil still. Airflow is amazing, blows my billow away and that's saying something. Flavor is great. My Orchid V4 chimney and tank fit right on it, but of course the narrower chimney cuts down the AF significantly. Can't wait for some after market parts to come out, capacity is under par considering I can blow through a tank in 30 minutes with the stock set up.
I'm running 24awg, six wraps @ .27 Ohms, not a dry hitbyet and have been chain gaping through tanks every 30 minutes. I'd say its a winner if you like huge airflow and great flavor.

Partially assembled with stock chimney, AFC ring and bottom ring are off in this pic.

Stock chimney next to a kayfun chimney, (which fits for customization purposes). The kayfun chimney will fit inside the SilverPlay with room to spare, MASSIVE AIRFLOW, this thing's AF is nearly equivalent to a Plume Veil.

Built using the one piece chimney and tank from an orchid V4 for increased capacity, slight hit to AF but this thing can afford the hit and still flow better than the Billow or Orchid, both of which are outstanding attys in their own right.

Thanx for the info and pics.

Think I'm going to wait for spare parts... if ever. I don't like tall toppers and the added rings & stuff on the bottom & tall top cap.

If i can use a stubby regular kayfun/orchid top cap with that chimney on my bored out orchid... that's my preferred setup.
In the pic on their site they have it built super stubby with a super nano top cap, that looks more up my alley but not sure if they used a kayfun chimney or the silverplay chimney.

I will be keeping an eye on this one though to see where it goes with revisions and hopup parts :D
