Ok everybody I have to say this. Today I was in alot of pain so I didn't do anything. I wanted something different and remembered I had the flavor to make some Boompop ejuice. Yes yes yes! Fired up the Noisy Cricket/ Apocalypse with some new rayon wick and fresh 20S batteries. Happiness in a cloud! I'm in the process of losing some weight so I can get back surgery and have been on a strict diet. It's driving me nuts. My lovely wife has been so great cooking for me but today she came home from the store and had Fudge Brownie M&Ms. OMG! Those are the most evil things ON THE PLANET! SOOO FUCKING DELICIOUS!

No clue what that is.
Fudge Brownie M&Ms.
Or that.
(I once was 360 pounds, 50 inch waist. Got down to 173 pounds and size 34, then decided skin and bones was way too far. I am happy at 220 now with size 38 waist, just like high school, 53 years ago. No "diet." Just stay the hell away from McDougals, Bugger Kink, and too much candy.) :D

I'm not sure either, but I hope Don can share the recipe.....or Lannie can guess what it is......:)
My guess is that we'll have to wait on Don. While Lannie is a Mixtress Extraordinaire, the name "boompop" suggests something that really "hits" ya, and we are too mellow to even guess the ingredients.

72?.... damn thats right there in the Perfect range....!
I would say that too except it was overcast with moisture in the air (no, not rain, just dampness) and winds about 20 mph with gusts to 30, so I had to wear a jacket while mowing.
Have a good one, I'm whipped...................
So, are you going on nugget search tomorrow, or will it be too hot for the hike? In any case, sleep well and play hard. BS more later.

I am befuddled by "Boompop." ;) Never even heard of it, and as much as I've prowled recipe sites and threads, that's weird. You'd think I would have come across some reference to it before now.

So Don, what's the recipe? :)

Dale, we're starting into "hot" now, although not as hot as you yet. All this coming week, our highs are *supposed* to be 80+ with lows in the 55 to 60 range. As soon as we get used to the 80s and think that's perfect, it will hit 90s and 100s, and then no more "perfect." Just hot. It's the humidity here that gets us. I would just about kill for dry air in the summer, but then we wouldn't have grass, so I guess we have to pay for it somehow. I don't mind the hot, but I hate being sweaty!

Oh, I almost forgot, my 5-year vaperversary is coming up in a couple of days! When I smoked, I couldn't go more than a couple hours without a cigarette, and now it's been 5 whole years! I never would have thunk it, and if someone had suggested it, I would have told them they were out of their freaking MIND. Go figure. Miracles do happen! :D

CONGRATULATIONS! That is great. I don't know what the day was I quit smoking. I know it's been a long time. I, like so many others, have quit from vaping.

Wow! I almost forgot. Both of us started vaping at about the same time, but Lannie quit the butts cold turkey (leaving 4 cartons unsmoked) but I am a scrooge. I paid too damn much for those cigarettes, so I wasn't going to throw mine away. Even though I had started vaping, I kept smoking (occasionally) until I had burned up the last of the butts, so even though I started vaping in June, my official stop date on the butts is the middle of August. One up for Lannie. ;)

Congrats on the vaperversary @Lannie! :stars2:

I was like Rich, but I only had 2 packs left over. I didn't want them around to tempt me and I paid money for them. Those two packs lasted a little bit more than two weeks. After that, no more!

We live over 100 miles from the nearest smoke shop (cheaper than grocery stores or Wally World), so we typically bought 5-6 cartons apiece every month. So figure I smoked 1-2 packs per day for 50 years (mostly Camels and Look, Ma, I got no lung cancer!). I guess I figured finishing the last four cartons would be no big deal. But Lannie had more balls (can I say that about my wife?) to just stop and not even look back. The vaping satisfied her, so what difference would it make to smoke her last four cartons or not smoke them? Well, like I said, I'm a scrooge -- I paid for them so I wanted to use them up. But now I vape and there are thousands less chemicals being blown around our house (60 of which are known carcinogens that the FDA doesn't seem to mind). And two people not smoking over the last five years has saved thousands of dollars.

Oh, this is someone else's joke (Gawd knows who), but I thought it was funny, so I'm gonna share it with you...And it is reasonably appropriate, given our forecast today said "no rain" and there are thunderstorms banging around out there right now....

- - - - -

The king wanted to go fishing, and he asked the royal weather forecaster the forecast for the next few hours.

The palace meteorologist assured him that there was no chance of rain.

So the king and the queen went fishing. On the way, he met a man with a fishing pole riding on a donkey, and he asked the man if the fish were biting.

The fisherman said, "Your Majesty, you should return to the palace. In just a short time I expect a huge rainstorm."

The king replied: "I hold the palace meteorologist in high regard. He is an educated and experienced professional. Besides, I pay him very high wages. He gave me a very different forecast. I trust him."

So, the king continued on his way.

However, in a short time, torrential rain fell from the sky. The King and Queen were totally soaked.

Furious, the king returned to the palace and gave the order to execute the meteorologist.

Then he summoned the fisherman and offered him the prestigious position of royal forecaster.

The fisherman said, "Your Majesty, I do not know anything about forecasting. I obtain my information from my donkey. If I see my donkey's ears drooping, it means with certainty that it will rain."

So, the king hired the donkey.

And so began the practice of hiring dumb asses to work in influential positions of government.

And thus, the symbol of the Democrat Party was born.

The practice continues to this day.

I gave up on the garden too, until I can get the hell out of here and head to the mountains. Much to hot and dry to grow anything here in the desert....it just wasn't designed for gardens.

So you are serious about relocating to Prescott or Cottonwood? Got a timeline yet? No doubt you'll put on a few more miles to go to jobs, but it is tax deductible.
Need to find some land up there, Rich....it's really been crazy lately, just work work work.....but I'll find something before the summer is over with.

Does this mean you have given up on permanently relocating to EC? Obviously lots of work (and income) right there in AZ...

Anyhoo.... Nitey nite. Catch ya later.

I remember the exact day for me. June 4th. I actually tried to smoke one the next morning, to see how I felt about it, and it tasted nasty, so I put it out after three or four drags and never lit another one. I did feel bad that Rich had just bought a bunch of cartons for me, and I *thought* about smoking them and starting to vape later, but I figured it was worth wasting them for me to feel better. And I did feel better, even after just one day. And each day after that just got better and better. So I think I made the right decision. :)

government went all to hell after the last pres-election.
That really sucks. You like it too much and you sent a zillion dollars worth of equipment down there and... and... does the girlfriend now move to AZ or does she go away with the the farm? Seriously, any chance things might get batter down there or is it now a lost cause?

No idea Rich, but nobody there has any money, so I don't expect to sell anything in the near future. Eli will be back here as soon as her family can find someone to help take care of her old-er parents, both going on 90 in Aug.

Only hit 82 °F here today, but I guess it is the season to stop counting wind chill and worry about the heat index. At 66% relative humidity, it felt like 86 °F. I wonder if I can still throw in the 20 mph wind in that formula... heat index of 86 says 91 °F, which seems bass ackwards to me... Oh well.

Anyway, we went to vote in our primary, then I unloaded a shitload of pine shavings and grain from the truck, then spent a couple hours (my back says it was 20 hours) bouncing around on the Cadet making short grass out of lawns that looked more like hay fields.
