Nice day for a walk. Though here in our town now apart from not working in the places that are closed you would think lockdown was over. Is being disregarded now.
Anyway, plenty of flowers out around the fence line of an old folks retirement village near us.

First day out since lockdow, which is now eased.
Went for a drive through the bush near the Pyrenees ranges here in Vic. Was nice to get out. One of the farmers there always does a hay bail thing on the roadside with a theme. No prizes for guessing the current one.

Locals idea of venturing further than home.

Took these around 2011/12. Came across them today when I was looking for something on my old pc which hasnt been connected to the net since 2013. Just gets used now and then to transfer music files now days.
First up was a crazy locust plague we had back then. They were like that in any direction you drove in a 50 k radius. Billions!

A scorpion from a place I used to detect. You had to watch out every handful of dirt you grabbed there were so many there. We nicknamed the place Scorpion Gully for the obvious reason.

One of our beautiful sunsets. Dont get them like this all the time but when you do, standing on the balcony, just magic.

Out bush today. Was really nice to be out alone too, love my alone time.
Bit of old timer surfacing below. Came up donuts on it though.

Got a good signal and as the hole got deeper my hopes grew, through a few tree roots....

Spent a couple of hours cleaning my fish tank so thought "hey! Go fishing".
Was nice there but didn't catch anything. Saw a huge trout though catch a small fish near the surface and splash around, swirling as it finished it off. Its back was out of the water as was half its tail. Big brown that was for sure in the double figures lb range. Guess he got his fill as I never got a hit. Great to see it unfold though.
No pics of it as I was too busy trying to catch it at the time.
Heres the place though.
Those blue'ish coloured hills way in the background are extinct volcanos.

My girl when I tell her to “Stick Em Up” only works if I have a treat in hand and the better the treat, the better she does the trick. I thought I trained her to do it but I think it’s the other way around.

This is a new, old knife I just purchased. I bought one years ago but gave it to my nephew who really liked it. Well I started to miss it and have been searching for a new one since. It was discontinued years ago so finding one was fairly difficult. I was on a knife forum and I mentioned this knife, then a guy messaged me saying he had one BNIB. After a little haggling I got the price I was willing to pay and viola, took a few years but I again own my favorite fixed blade dagger. She’s a beaut
