Good morning VU!

Wife survived her 12 hr shift LOL

I drew a bath for her, set up candles and had her relaxing music playing when she got home at 8pm. She passed out pretty much immediately after. It's funny, can be in bed watching TV and I hear a thunk lol... the ipad falls onto her face...

She has a short day today, 6-10a to finish her 40

Outside of that, SSDD

Be safe everyone!

How thoughtful that was of you. I am so impressed. Bet your wife felt such relief to have someone look out for her for a bit. Good on you!

I'd do anything for her... well almost... I don't listen to her in the slightest when my sports teams are playing lol

Steelers on TV...

Wife: Honey, I'm going to...

ME: Ok do it, have fun

Wife: You hear me?

ME: Yup, going out, have at it

Wife: To Los Angeles

Me: ok wear a jacket

Wife: You didnt hear me

Me: I hear you yammering lol

Or when the Penguins are on

Wife: Honey

Me: Oh its you again

Wife: Huh

Me: Misery

But in seriousness, we have a great relationship, and it only took 15 years for her to get my dry and to the point humor.

EDIT: Total tangent

Croc's is giving away a free pair of their squishy shoes to health care workers... 20k pair a day.

Anyway, for a few weeks now, daily I log in and join the queue. Today was the day, Momma gets a new pair of shoes LOL... like she needs them my goodness... made her day, which makes me happy.

99% good here. DogMum has a cough. But she often does, being an emphysema sufferer. It is a thick phlegm cough. Not dry or watery as described in the symptom checkers.

Will see if chemist has a thermometer in stock in the morning. Mum had 60 years of constant ear infections before the surgery, so raging fever barely registers for her. Probably not, but not willing to let it go.

She'll probably crack the shits and stay in her room for days for my fussing.

We have a registered clinic about 5 minutes walk from home, if required.

I normally just point the remote at her pretending I am hitting the mute button when she wants to talk to me during the games...

First time I did that she asked what I was doing lol

Trying to mute you, but its not working!

Checking in here and we are all fine at home but my sister was taken to the Hospital from the Nursing Home because of a Fever which would cause a Seizure with the MS normally. But Mom spoke to someone at Hospital who said she has the virus. I personally think this idiot doesn't know her history and it is too soon for a Diagnosis but what do I know? Hoping this was incorrect information and saying prayers.

This supposed Techie doesn't know how to change basic picture settings? With today's HDTV's there is more to tuning a picture. Even a Smart TV can be made to look the way you want. Just need to know what you are doing.

Hope she is ok and they got it wrong.

Yeah when I got my Sony I thought the picture was ho hum until I got into the menu and it shows a fantastic picture. The default it was on was rubbish.

All good here apart from the Parks here doing some controlled burns and our town is covered in smoke. No walking today thats for sure. Might clean the fish tank for something to do.
Here's hoping everyone is well and those that are not get well soon.

Good morning VU!

SSDD!

Today 1985 my baby sis was born...I wanted a brother, but I ended up with a kick ass sister.

Unrelated news...

San Diego has gone full retard. They are going to open the beaches and relax some of the nonessential businesses to reopen (restaurants)

People are going to head out in droves and it’s going to be packed

This is my thoughts on that...

Give the people what they want and once those who get exposed and the count rises, clamp down hard and tell the stupids... we tried to do what you wanted, didn’t work... get bent and stay home like we wanted to begin with.

Some people need to learn the hard way.

I won’t go out and about, I’ll wait

Be safe not stupid like SD everyone!

Well we got a call this morning at 7:30 and my sister is now on a Ventilator and getting Morphine. I guess the person who said she had the Virus was right.

Seems like Jacksonville, Florida and surrounding areas opened their beaches back up last week, iirc. Film I saw on the news showed wall-to-wall people on those beaches. You know there will be - people are bored out of their minds, they'll take those re-openings as permission and just beat feet.

The more this happens, the bigger the spike we'll have starting in about a week or ten days. Just wait. We'll should be able to see quite well how we're doing, come about the 10th of May.

I'm already planning to watch what happens next week in Georgia. That governor of theirs, damn.

All is well here, nothing new. I'm a homebody so it's fine with me! The sun is out, the cat found a sunbeam, hubby is watching fishing videos. I have a good book going and hot coffee. I'm so glad for my vaping friends!
Stay safe and healthy

OK, update they moved my sister Karen now to a room instead of ICU and although she is on a breathing machine not a ventilator any longer. Makes me question if she actually has CV-19 or not. I will update you as I know more.

Still doing well. Got some goodies from a couple friends here recently that really helped out a ton. Big boost to my moral!
Working on my kitchen cabinets with my wife helping along side. Got the top cabinets all finished up and doors rehung. Started on the lower sets. Pulled all the doors and hardware, cleaned them sanded them and primed them. The lower boxes are all set to be primed tomorrow. My knee is still larger than normal and very sore.

Oh, and the governor relaxed our work restrictions Friday. I can finally return to work! Im going back at it Monday morning. I have roughly 20 weeks of work lined up and waiting. Im excited to be getting back to it, but also a little stressed after having so much time away from work. I am feeling pretty blessed and lucky right now and I think I'm allowed to feel that way after all the shit I've had to tread through recently.

Thank you to everyone here for letting me vent. Thank you for the words of kindness and your acts of support and generosity. The sun is shining my way again and when I get back to full swing, I promise those acts won't be forgotten.

Saturday Check in, Sorry to be MIA for a few but I have been real bummed out lately. My brother, who was diagnosed with early stage 3 colorectal cancer a year ago is in the hospital. His choice, unlike mine, was to go with the big pharma treatments:eek: he took radiation, has been on chemo almost the full time now, and misserible the whole time, and they told him they had shrunk it down as far as they could and that now was the time to take it out,(Dr. must of been planning another cruise or something, greedy bastards). I had told him he should think about it more that this was the worst time to have anything done that isn't life threatening. They told him it was a simple surgery and he would be in the hospital for 3 or 4 days. Well he went in on the 2nd, the 2nd of MARCH:gaah::eek::eek:. He is still in there, this is day 58 and he isn't doin well at all. They had botched his first surgery and had bowel leaking in between his membraine and his muscle and it finally put him in toxic shock so they went back in Thursday and now he's in ICU with a lung infection and a fever waiting for test results to see if one of the nurses or staff gave him covid to top it off.
