Hubby headed back out into the wild west last night. My back is just a tad better today, but still having a lot of trouble getting around.

The drunks in my county aren't behaving so Gov announced yesterday that liquor sales in my county will be restricted. (So let's put them on the road, driving to another county to get drunk then drive back home!) If you do not live in our county, you won't be able to buy liquor here.

Checking in, all is well here. Hubby just left for the grocery store, hope he can find stuff. My throat is a bit sore this morning but probably just allergies. I love Spring but it sure brings out the allergens. Guess I'd better start some laundry.
Stay safe and healthy

That's some bullshit. Anyone in the line of fire should be getting hazard pay, right now. Not only are you exposed, but you're exposed to all the people that co-workers are around, as well. I'm around 60-ish (give or take) people everyday, which means 60-ish people, plus everyone they're around, or have been around. Masks, gloves, sanitzer, hand washing will help, yes, but at some point, someone will touch their face, a door handle, etc... Not everyone is safety conscious.

Oh. Wednesday check. Going to work in a bit. Ran out of kleenex yesterday, lol. I think I'll live, though.

Y'all be safe, be kind, be patient. Be in this together. <3

Was told by a CSR at the unemployment office that there are no benefits in place right now for self employed individuals like myself, even tho they keep telling us in the news that it is in place. How frustrating.

Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk

Gave you a like in sympathy - my eldest daughter is in the same boat

Checking in, nothing going on here health wise

Major thunderstorm raged beginning at 4 a.m. which I could not sleep through, though I did try my best, lol

Heard our governor say late last week that the new regulations were being rolled out in Virginia this week. So apparently it is dependent on your state and when they decide to or are able to implement.

Hopefully you will get a stimulus payment to help out until they get their shit together.

Yep KY has had benefits for the self employed for a few weeks. have had to manually process them though as the system was not set up to handle it. And I am pretty sure they are retro active back to when our state shut down non essential services. 3-16?
They also started rolling out the +600 last week too, also retroactive. I am pretty sure it is handled as a separate but automatic transaction if you get unemployment.

Perhaps other states are not working as hard to take care of their people?

So latest from the hubby... He came across a truck stop restaurant in PA that was closed today. This was in a major chain truck stop. There was a Pizza Hut and Subway open across the street. But WTH?!?!?! Our truckers gotta eat.... Shame on that truck stop for not staying open to take out.

Still doing well here, family is well.

Wife heads to floor work tomorrow, although she is assigned to be the person who takes your temp for non critical clinic visits lol... I giggled at that... said, "Wow, double Masters in Nursing, and they have you taking temps at the clinics... works for me"

At least she isn't front line in critical care...scary.

Be safe everyone.

Actually sounds like someone is looking out for her. I know you and she are both thankful, though. :)

Tuesday! Today is Tuesday, right?

Cleaned the carpets today. Went to Lowe’s for some potting soil and caulk. Biked 6.5 miles while watching last nights Noted.

Parents, siblings and children all good, so far.

Nothing exciting. Hope all is well!:blowkiss:

Still alive and well....The thing that gets me is that I could be sitting in my lanai or fishing in the lagoon in Florida, instead of being stuck in CT..... Oh well. Things seem to be heating up here. The state has 14,000 confirmed cases with 671 deaths. But what really got me was my local area has had 38 deaths which is fairly recent. It is getting a little depressing but my dog wants to be held and lick my nose off. All things must pass, stay safe and vape on...

So still here and had an interesting day to say the least. Had to go pick up an extension ladder from my Sweeties to fix the leak that developed over the bay window in the front of the house. Since winds were out of the South it didn't leak before that we noticed. Used Flashing Cement to seal it permanently but used a Safe Ladder this time instead of the rickety old wooden one I used during the storm.

Had a 5th of Old No.7 dropped off to me by my GF's cousin Joey so we had a coupe of afternoon cocktails, "6 feet apart" and I grilled him a Steak and some Short Ribs to take home for his dinner. Making the best of a Fucked Up Situation as best as I can possibly do to keep sane. Stay Safe all and see you soon.

Repeat day again. All the same where I am. Woke up to hotted up car guy going back and forwards, still.
Apparently our toilet paper wars are over and is business as usual at our supermarkets where I am. Funny though because now the toilet paper hoarders have rooms full of toilet paper and there is plenty on the shelves. Now they are going back to the supermarkets with car loads and trying to get refunds only to be told it aint happening.
To think they were fighting over it just a couple of weeks ago, getting arrested, getting up before dawn each day, day after day to get there to get it. Whole families going in one after the other. Now its no big deal and they have a house full of hundreds some maybe thousands of rolls of useless toilet paper! :giggle:

One can have too much toilet paper?

Daily check in all is well here. Did house work and that is about all. wife got a package of clothes she ordered.. I removed the outer bag, trashed it, put the clothes in an extra room (where I hide all my toilet paper) to allow a week for virus to die. then washed hands and sanitized door knob, faucet, etc with lysol wipe.

Not much happening here, just working from home during the day and hanging out here, or reading my Kindle book, in the evening. Needed to do some housework today and it just didn't happen. The situation with work has been stressful for the last three workdays, and by the time I'm finished in the afternoon, I feel like my brain is mush.

Mixed up a new juice recipe after dinner tonight, put some batteries on to charge. Very nearly ordered some tanks I don't need, and managed to pop my own hands before I spent the money.

Once again, hope all of you are staying put, staying well, being careful, holding up ok. I saw a commercial a few minutes ago (hubbs left the TV on) of the three late-night talk show hosts all talking at once - it was Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon, and Steven Colbert - looking like they were all about to crack up, something about all of them hosting a TV show from their homes. As I said, they were all talking at the same time, so I couldn't make heads or tails of what they actually said...but...it occurred to me, America is in a crisis, those crazy guys, they do their dead level best to throw a party.

There are plenty of ways to see how people are trying to keep each other's spirits up and keep themselves and others entertained and distracted - or on the flip side, cared for and safe. At the present moment, that seems like not such a bad thing, as long as we are being responsible at the same time.

So I have bad news. My Uncle Tom and my aunt mechele contracted the virus. Both are high risk, my uncle just suffered a stroke not that long ago. My aunt is in the ICU on a ventilator and my stubborn uncle is home.

Please pray for them! <3

So very sorry Amber. Sending my best to you and your whole family.

Checking in.

I had ordered a new laptop using hotel points a week or two ago. I hadn't received a shipping notification yet so I figured I would get it when I get it. FedEx shows up with a bunch of boxes yesterday with various other things I had ordered and with them is the new computer! Well hell yeah, new toy to play with. Unbox it, plug it in, and go through the initial setup for Win10. Everything is working good. I go away for half an hour and the screen is showing it can't find the hard drive. WTF! Power down, power back up and the same BS. I called Lenovo CS and waited. I got through and started talking with the rep. She says she needed to check with someone on what to do and to stay on the line. She disconnected me! Grrr.... Call back and get a different rep. Work with him and it is decided that the drive is toast and they will send an email with a shipping label for repair. Still no label, so I will have to deal with them again today... Grrr... ,</vent>

Anyway our county is up to 74 cases, but still just 3 deaths. My wife and I are still doing fine.

I have a love-hate relationship with technology. THIS is the cause of the hate side of that relationship.

These days I don't think there's anything that will piss me off any quicker than having to deal with an uncooperative PC. Maybe uncooperative customer service? Nah. Bad, but not as bad.

Good luck with it today. Try to keep your nice-guy-hat on! :)

I hope so.. I've read so much conflicting data on immunity that I'm still a tad nervous.

Yep all still pretty much undecided and unproven on the immunity. As with most things about dealing with this new virus.

the best thing is that she survived it and is likely to again if worst case that she gets it again.
Just think positive, but I know you will worry anyway

Not much new here. Hubby did his tele-med visit with doctor, all went well. Mine is this afternoon. Cat wanted to get in on the visit, lol.
Supposed to get to 70* today, it's sunny and pretty outside. Guess I should pick up all the cat toys and vacuum.
Stay safe and healthy

Toilet paper wars are not quite over. I went hunting some today and all I could find was a case of coreless off brand on Amazon. But a new MEAT WAR is about to begin. Processing plants are shutting down left and right. If you need meat, better get it now.

The meat that I eat in a year might just make a meal for someone;), so I am in fine shape there, just as long as they don't take my Veggies away:giggle:'

Still doin good here and my headache has finally gone, throat only a tad scratchy in the mornings:bliss:, what a relief:rolleyes:. More and more cases popping up around here. Some are acting like it's over here:gaah:, people not wearing masks, grouping together, then they will be the ones whining when they make this stay at home order longer than it is now:cuss2:. Everyone be careful, stay safe and healthy:)

So still Alive and Well but sore as all hell after doing brickwork outside all day. Need something to keep my mind occupied and going to get a bunch of things done around the house. Replaced 30-35 feet of regular bricks with scalloped next to the walk on the side of the house. Comes in handy to have the materials on hand for sure. Have to finish up tomorrow and going to make to make some custom shapes out of what I have. Will be cutting and using some Quickcrete~!

Wednesday (again) check in. Somehow forgot yesterday was Tuesday. Had to go to 2 stores to make a semi-complete grocery trip. Wasn't a fan of that, but is what it is. I'm home, fan on, wrapped in a blanket cuz I'm off today. Critters fed, snoozin' and I may join them in the near future.
