Smok stick one plus coil compatibility

I have a smok stick one plus. But the coils are discontinued. Im wondering if the tank can be swapped to a different one, or if the tank can be used with different coils. The coils it uses now are .3ohm micro and .25ohm micro.

The eGo Cloud Plus battery can accept any tank, rda with a 510 threading. So, yes you can use any other tank or rda you desire, as long as it has a 510 threading. Most on the market currently do. :)

As for swapping out your coils. Not sure as I've not studied that particular sub ohm tank. My best advice would be stick with OEM branded coils. I see the first link listed in the search is element Vape. They have the coil for $15 per 5 pack. If I figure it, that's $3 a coil. To me that's way too steep but then I build my own on rdas for less than $0.06 per coil after buying wire.

I don't count the cost of cotton for wick. I can get 180 squares which equates nearly a lifetime of cotton for wicks for about $7 maybe $8. I don't get too precise in making wicks ergo do not measure to calculate for a cost. If I had to guess, I'd say not over $0.02 per wick, if even that. All in on average I'm looking at $0.10 or less per coil.

The second link I see lists them at $28 for a 5 pack. Damn. Are they coiled with 18 karat gold wire? That's $5.60 per coil. Bonks that!

Okay, my overall suggestion, run from that sub oh tank or get bled dry money wise. Find any other tank you want or better still, imho, use an rda and build your own coils for dirt cheap. And don't be too concerned if you cannot build works of art for coils. Even a simple single strand of wire can do the trick quite well. All the rest I find at times is "window dressing". But take my opinion/s here with a big grain of salt. Do what you think feels right and that'll be what's right for you. :)

Before I forget, if these OEM coils use ceramic. You don't need that anyway. There's discussion and pros, cons alike saying ceramic is better than sliced bread or the Devil itself. Simple solution, steer clear. If you don't know, don't go.

Very helpful reply, thanks alot. I was looking at the mig vapor wtf or the SMOK TFV8. Are either of these recomended in your opinion? I would like to make my own coils at some point but I dont know how or which tanks accept DIY coils.

mig vapor wtf: You're increasing cost per coil. I see a baseline of $4 per coil with those.

SMOK TFV8: You're staying at roughly the same cost of $3 per coil.

As for tanks which accept coils you'll want to explore the ones making mention of having a rebuidable deck, or RBA option. These will have a coil head assembly that lacks a coil. The user can then build and install coils into it, put that in as a coil for the tank. To that end I've been seeing a lot of "good" talk about the FreeMax FireLuke RBA. Understand I do not use tanks any longer presently. I used Evods a while back but then got started by buddy on RDAs and have gotten "away" from tanks. So, I'm just a touch out of touch regarding tanks.

Someone like @f1r3b1rd, @KingPin!, @JuicyLucy, @gsmit1, @The Cromwell may better offer more insight for tanks.

To learn coil building you've come to the right place too. :) We have a section here all about building. A quick search on youtube also can also give you plenty of tutorial videos, most less than ten minutes, some for more advanced builds lasting maybe 30 minutes.

You might also like to explore the idea of RDAs too. FasteTech isn't the only online vendor selling RDAs. They are perhaps one of the better sites to locate affordable entry point to RDAs. Careful, use good judgement with shopping on FastTech. If it seems like it might be junk, steer clear. A lot of the ones they label as "styled" are fairly good quality but you just have to watch.

FastTech is good though about returns & customer service, granted you need to understand they're only a vendor/sale agent. And you need to not order during February as that month is national Chinese holiday month. They only staff bare minimum "skeleton" crews. No real "work" is done. This is true though for any vendor out of China. They have at least a week they honor ancestors, a week of "cleaning homes" and a week of vacations. China just decided to call it a holiday month. To their credit they work the rest of the year hard at it.

Don't ask what the "best" RDA is. *chuckles* You'll ignite all kinds of holy wars and get nowhere near a straight answer quick. You need to try what you think might do good for you. If it does good for you then you're good to go. If not you might want to try another. You can look into our PIF thread too and find people putting out RDAs they tried, didn't like. Ultimately as I've pointed out, "best" is what you find right and best for yourself.

The two RDAs I'm currently using most are the Gorge by Advken and Wasp Nano by Oumier. I also use a Kennedy and sometimes Velocity V2 RDAs. These are simply what I use and enjoy though. I could not tell you what to use for yourself.

Id really like a good quality tank with strong coils that wont burn out quickly and can handle extensive use. From what Ive read the WTF is very well made and produced in the USA. SMOK seems to be very popular but with that comes the constant low supply of coils and other parts. If anyone knows other tanks and coils that are very good I am open to suggetions, I just need to buy somthing really soon because Im down to my last coil now.

I often use a Smok subohm tanks with rba decks when I am out and about. I see them for sale in our hardware section often. For the most part they work as well as most of my rta's. Imo for the money they are a good purchase, especially for a newish vaper. They are a bit more difficult to build and wick as the decks are smaller.
