Hmm.... seems like a strange play toy.
In Dubai, what is a wood chipper?

Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
My curiosity is perked up as well, @bobnat inquiring (i.e. bored) minds want to know what is a wood chipper in Dubai?:giggle:

Only thing new for me is I'm definitely not going anywhere for work in April. We have another Field Engineer who lives in Los Angeles to do the surveying until our company lifts their travel ban and he go to his regular customer site. Also, I got an email from United stating that they will extend my status through 2021 which is nice when I can fly again. Delta is doing the same.

29 cases of covid in my home county with one death. My wife and I are doing fine, but we are getting a little stir crazy. Our city has closed all city parks which bums out my wife. She likes to take our dog to different places for walks keeping social distance of course.

Well I got bad news today. My therapist called me because I had an appointment today and she told me she received a call last night from the office stating someone contracted the virus. She asked what I wanted to do, still come in or do a over the phone session. Well guess what I chose! I pray for that person who got the virus and everyone else still working there that no one else gets it. So scary it’s only 3 minutes from my home!

Wife and I are still healthy, and have not committed domestic abuse against each other, despite being here 24 hours a day with each other.

Finished painting my kitchen walls, ceiling and trim.
Started refinishing the old oak cabinets today.

Looks like our governor will probably extend the stay at home order within the next 5 to 7 days.

Found out 2 friends from church have tested positive for covid 19.
That makes at least 10 people here in my small town that I know of that have it now. Im sure there is a lot more, I just don't know them.

It's scary here in Michigan.

Toby and I are doing good. I made a mask for myself out of a bandana and hair ties (learned it from Facebook) and we don’t allow Toby out to any public places, just drive him around to get him out of the house, go for long walks, or play out back.

I just pray no one brings it home to him and Rylen can’t visit me until the virus is over... so I hope it passes soon so I can see my big man soon!

Good morning VU!

All is well here, family is doing well... the 3M Ventilators I ordered should be here tomorrow...

So, I was pondering something last night.

For all those that live in an apartment community or like myself a Condo (owned apartment basically) ... I wonder what the leasing offices responsibility and or duty to tell tenants if and or when any community members have passed word that they are infected? Since there is the no eviction laws in place, and all agencies are not to assess late fees and or work with the tenant...only way to qualify for this law is to prove you are in fact infected. I know there is the other half of the law which is more about being unemployed... but still curious to the legality and responsibility these community managers have to the rest of the community.

Guess I can just e-mail them.

The community I live in, is predominately Military.

Anyway... morning coffee continued night thoughts lol

Be safe!

Here there is problems with doctors in hospitals rationing masks and they are really hard for the public to get. Have seen on tv a couple of diy mask making ideas.
But I got an email today from a Chinese supplier today where you can buy them in the thousands! Have heard though too that you guys there got some bad batches the other day that were useless.
We are not allowed to drive here other than to get essential supplies, food or health related. Quite a number of people being fined $1650 for breaking the rule. Id love to go for a drive into the bush or fishing, fishing and camping is not allowed right now either.
You and the kids stay safe and well there Amber.

Thank you love! I only go to public places to pick up my prescriptions or get food/hygiene supplies. I use my own mask I made, I don’t wear gloves because they say they’re not good to use since you touch everything and don’t change them. Instead I put hand sanitizer on my hands after I touch anything. We Lysol our whole house everyday too.

Well since Aldi's cancelled our order the other day we never got our meat. So today... on day 23 of not leaving the house... I have to venture out to Sam's Club. I thought they were doing curbside pickup, but found out when I called I still have to go into the club to claim the order. I'm not looking forward to this at all, but I'll be gloved and masked.

So far the hubby and I are healthy, Family and friends are still healthy. I'm waiting for them to start doing antibody tests. We're both gonna get one to confirm my suspicion that we already had it back in January.

Well, I'm a self employed house painter. Own and operate my own small business. Haven't worked in weeks due to this pandemic. But I have paint and painting supplies on hand. Also have several unfinished painting projects in my house. Now that I'm ordered to stay home, might as well knock those projects out and make use of all this down time.

Plus giving the kitchen a makeover is making my wife happy. Win win.

Well still here and still staying safe~! Had to venture out to 2 stores this morning and actually the closest I got to another human being was getting my receipt from a girl behind a plexiglass partition while wearing gloves. My homemade Hand Sanitizer took the paint off a shopping cart handle because I forgot to push it into the corral.

I will for sure. Taking my time re doing these cabinets. They are in rough shape. Lots of little repairs that need to be completed. And I'm doing two colors on the cabinets. All upper cabinets are going to be Modern White. The lower cabinets will be a dark grey of some sort, haven't decided yet.

Checking in. We're still doing well here. Hubby had to make a food run this morning, said there were only about 8 shoppers there! He found everything except the alcohol that we are running low on. He was all masked and gloved, wiped down all the groceries. His clothes are in the washing machine, counter is sanitized. My house has never been this sanitary, lol. Still no word from son in Saudi Arabia.
Stay safe and healthy

:wave:All well here. Md family out of touch the other day due they were taking a day off electronics(cept for my mom). They did monitor though in case of emergencies. My mom is in a sr home there. a few hundred srs. They stopped all visitors almost 4 weeks ago. Have been keeping residents in their rooms for the last 2 weeks. Very strict. Mom thinks family has abandoned her. Very unhappy, doesn't get it at all. They have 0 cases, including both staff and residents. This is a very good thing. My idiot brother in texas insists on going out shopping every few days. He's bored:rolleyes: oye vey.Tomorrow making a lettuce run to farm about 25 mins away.Pay by phone now and your bag is in the greenhouse vestibule with your name. It's hydroponic and lasts almost two weeks. The only thing I'm low on is coffee creamer. Figure I can try adding some caramel flavoring to my milk. I get the lactose free.It lasts almost a month.
Stay well all!

Healthy and moving around the house.
Started cleaning my kitchen today.
Going to paint all walls and trim. Today I cleaned, caulked all trim, repaired all wall and trim damage. Tomorrow I will sand it all, and begin painting.
3 coats of acrylic enamel in white going on all trim.
2 coats of an acrylic latex going on the walls.
Here are the pictures of how it looks currently.
And a pic of the color that's going on the walls. View attachment 157880 View attachment 157884 View attachment 157885 View attachment 157886

Checking in

Heading out ( second day in a row  ) to get Mr J tested - still have horrible Hershey squirts and doc wants to make sure

He kept me up half the night going to the bathroom and then he got a loud phone call from a cousin in Mexico at a quarter to six

Grumpy grumpy grumpy

Home Depot errggg

Made a pickup order yesterday, which never materialized; they called while I was driving and the call dropped, of course I spend about 20 minutes on hold this morning, only to be told it still isn't ready

At least the weather is beautiful - but I don't do well with interrupted sleep

Hubbs put mask and gloves on to brave the Post Office earlier today. New routine in PO: (1) use hand sanitizer after entering, (2) stand six feet from counter, (3) interact with clerk who is on the other side of draped plastic sheets that are hanging from the ceiling.

Not bad for a tiny town post office with no funding to speak of, and very little oversight or assistance from outside, run by little old country ladies.

Package from Vigo Foods, some packs of yellow rice and jambalaya mix, too big to fit in mailbox.

Speaking of jambalaya, wonder how Bird and Always are today? Anyone heard?

Otherwise, we're well. Everything's about the same. Had a little bit of a freak-out yesterday, and realized this might not be a good time to cut back on my Prozac. For the last three or four weeks I've been taking it 5 days a week instead of every day. That's a mistake. I got pissed at the world yesterday and showed my ass here at home. Guess my Prozac is more for anxiety and mood stabilization than it is for depression, although I have depression intermittently, too.

@Countrypami how was Sam's Club? I managed to find a few things early this morning when I was putting my Walmart cart together. Got some chicken, some ground beef, sausage, bacon, sandwich ham and bologna, eggs, that kind of basic stuff that's been hard to get here for a couple weeks now.

Finally ran out of Angel Soft early this morning, and Imma tell you. I am not a fan of this Scott's stuff. Somebody's got to like it, because it's been around my whole life, but damn if I know WHY they would. But we've got 28 rolls of the stuff, so I guess I'd better just stfu. :giggle:

Oh @The Cromwell I thought of you when seeing despair.com's new tshirt.-A lifetime of social distancing prepared me for this- it certainly works for me haha. They're donating profits to feeding america. They should make a mug. They have great mugs. I have several.

I'm here, I'm off today. I'm very frustrated. Dealing with people over the phone all day long, having to visit their websites and just getting a basic runaround. I ain't got time for this, I don't, especially when I have basically the same info I had when woke up this morning.

I'm just mad. It'll pass, but this is kinda big, so I'm mad.

Other than that, I get minor flares of freezing up where I stand. Did that the other day at the grocery and just started crying. Everyone's scared, overwhelmed, and the sprinkling of carelessness out in the world. Yeah, fuck those people. Right now ain't the time for carelessness.

Did I mention I'm mad today?

One thought on drive thru food.
Fast food workers are by and large one of the least likely groups to practice social distancing and take the virus problem seriously.
Mostly young, hard headed and bullet proof that pay no attention to news.

We had to wait for Mr J's test while - get this - someone dropped off Happy Meals to the staff running the drive through and they made us wait while they distributed and took a group pic

Group pic? Ohh our gov has commented several times on NO group pics.
Unless at least 6 FT apart and not just gathering for group pic.
some people were sending out pics like this on FB and posting to the States corona virus site.
I do not think I have a big enough face palm to cover those people.

our gov shows some pics on his daily corona virus briefing and People were actually sending group pics for him to post. he diplomatically (well mostly) told them they were being stupid and endangering their fellow Kentuckians with their actions.

Me too pretty much. Do not believe in any deity, lean left of center would never join the NRA but own several guns. And Pork :)

In my younger years I did belong to the NRA when they focused on gun and hunter safety and such before they became a straight up political group.

I honestly pretty much follow my own nose. I am officially registered as no party for voting.
I really ignore those who tell me what to think.
Not being a crowd follower is very scary to many though.

I also didn't slow down.
