LOL, I'm so sorry Huck, When I first saw your post, I thought it said in the back yard for poop. Well, I guess that's one way to conserve water. :)
You weren't entirely wrong. The pooch did have to poop. :poop:

Checking in. Hanging out in my pajamas with a coconut milk matcha latte.

Our renter downstairs is home. She’s usually at work today, so I’m assuming her hours are being cut. She works for a bakery that’s trying to stay open.

Today will be mellow. I will probably work on some recipes, rewick a few rdas for testing purposes, maybe watch Fresh’s show. Hard to do much else with the boys home. Might take a walk.

Sounds like everyone here is surviving, for which I am truly grateful.

Also checking in. Hubbs asked me this morning, "So what are your plans for today?" Well, uh, I guess I need to get my clothes out of the dryer? lol

I have been thinking about @misswish saying she was going to work on diy recipes the other day. I have been thinking that it would be a good idea to save those things somewhere that ISN'T the Internet, just in case. Maybe I will work on doing that over the next week or so. Was actually wondering to myself if I could put a spreadsheet together to calculate recipes, but then realized that I don't have a database of the gram weights of flavors. I suppose I could just calculate milliliters and use that rather than grams, as long as I'm consistent. Just couldn't communicate the recipes to anyone else!

Actually as I enter recipes I could back into the gram weights of the flavors by making a factor that makes the grams come out to match what they are on ELR. Have to think about that for a little bit. Sounds a whole lot like my work. :)

Hope everyone is hanging in there ok, hope everyone and their family members are healthy and have everything they need and are reasonably comfortable. Hope the families of all those people who were hanging out at the beach make them stay in the shed outside for two weeks. In the cold, and the dark, with water and a stale crust of bread to keep them alive. Otherwise, just wait until we start hearing about the great-grandfathers who get sick and die from exposure to these people.

COVID case reported last night in the county to the east of us, about 30 miles away. The person had contact with someone from a larger Virginia city and was exposed.

I think I heard 1 time that 1 ml is equal to 1 gram. Never tested but could be a starting point

That appears to be mostly true. I think there are some flavors that contain more solids, that are heavier than 1 gram per ml, but I doubt it would make a significant difference at the percentages normally used in mixing.

One being a measure of volume, and the other being a measure of weight, there won't be 100% consistency between those two things.

Checking in. New Orleans is closing down business by business. I live across the lake and we're not having too many full shutdowns - yet. Restaurants are serving drivethrough only and most stores have shorter hours. I have to stay in mostly. If DH or I get it things will be rough. I'm also concerned about my 88 year old parents in Florida. I keep hoping they'll stay inside but can't tell with them.

What's worse on that note is our police force released a statement... only responding to violent crime in progress for the foreseeable future.

In other words, " you're on your own bitches"
My god they released that statement??? Do they not realize what they just told all the scum bags out there.

Checking In. Good to see everyone is still doing okay.
19 more confirmed cases from yesterday.
The first death was reported last night for the State of AZ in my county. Was a 50 year old male with a compromised immune system that worked for the City of Phoenix Aviation Department. Worked at a airport terminal.

no real issues here. we are about to go wellness check on my MIL, she needs help.

I'm so sorry to hear about your mother and hope the check-up goes smoothly. Hopefully they will offer help and a resource for additional help.

Just talked with my daughter out in Courtland, OH and she said that sure enough, people are starting to break into cars. Well, of course they are as now the police won't respond and apparently they will not enter your home. They will stand outside and call in. Okay so now lets see how long before people start taking the law into their own hands and shooting those breaking into cars and stuff. The fallout from this is going to get very bad very soon.

Oh, good morning my friends. Checking in. Still sick here but all in all doing okay. Took some of those nasty alka seltzer cold tabs. They suck, but they do work quite well.

It will.. god willing this starts to flatten out soon.
From some of the medical people I've been speaking with, they expect the spread to slow when things warm up. I was told that heat and humidity kills it when it's out of the body. Thay will mean only direct fluid exchange with an infected person will spread it, not gas pumps and for handles.

Not terrible in Kansas yet, some places are closing down, like all the gyms, movie theater's and restaurants are doing carry out or delivery only.

Grocery stores are a nightmare, went to Dillon's grocery store this morning at 7am, and was like black friday, queues to get in the store, long checkout line, and lots of things out of stock, luckily I got toilet paper the weekend before this all kicked off, so am good for a few more weeks.

My wife's job is safe, but mine has me worried, went from 20-30 jobs a day, to lucky to have 1, but luckily I work for a small family company (so care about us workers), and they have said they will not lay off unless they are forced to close and just announced Friday they are setting up work share, so even if they cut our hours, we will have them covered by the state, less 20% of pay, so that is a relief.

Not sure how the world is going to survive through this, the economy is going to be devastated, and see that is going to be worse than this virus in some ways.

Here in AZ we've had 1 death from Covid19.(yesterday)
I've been a home body since before the outbreak.
Gonna have to venture out soon to see what groceries and supplies I can't buy.
If heat kills it I'm in the best place for the earliest hot hot.

Other than that I'll just continue to hibernate, watch the news, try to stay entertained, and vape a lot.

Yeah. If it's heat and humidity the monsoons in July will surely kill what left if intermittent summer rain storms don't. I hope it heats up fast. (I can't believe I just said that.) We can't wait until then. We're on lock-down except for Walgreen's Rx drive-thru.

Gov is still contemplating lockdown. Our police released an announcement that they will only respond to violent crime calls.

Chris doing okay, except for not being able to get food in some of his normal stopping places. This is a big problem coming to light for the truckers with all the restaurants doing drive thru/take out only. But he keeps a stash of food in the truck, so he should be okay.

I got one more small grocery order today for some things I couldn't get or forgot to get in the earlier one. Still no beef or chicken to be found, fresh or frozen. I did manage to get some meatballs, breakfast sausage, 2 small 1/4 hams, and 2 lbs of bacon.

I had to scold Mom on the phone yesterday... told her to keep her ass at home. They keep going out to the stores for NON ESSENTIAL stuff. She's 75, Stepdad is 80 with diabetes, very susceptible. She's stubborn and neither are people that can just sit at home.

I lived in the Glendale area for years. Nevada normally stays about 10 degrees cooler than AZ but we should be heating up soon too. I don't mind the heat much as long as I have a little shade. I have always been a fan of the desert. Grew up back east and I HATE cold. When I hit AZ for the first time I thought I had found heaven :)

@Countrypami did your order at Walmart get confirmed yet? Mine still says it will be here Tuesday but stuck at Preparing Order. It is only Propel Waters but I have a feeling it might get canceled. Although I could have picked it up at the store I chose for them to send it to me. Thought it was the Smarter thing to do.

My order was being shipped from .com. Not a delivery order. So far it appears to be processing just fine. I have delivery dates for all the different items.

Ohhh, sausage and bacon. I've been on a low carb diet with intermittent fasting. Lost 25lbs. I gained weight from being sedentary for years and not watching what I ate or drank. I fell off the diet about 10-14 days ago and I bet I gained another 3-5 lbs. I can really feel it. So any meats, especially fatty meats is a go for me. We may have to hit Fry's again for that. A mask and gloves will be part of my attire. If I had googles I'd wear them. We'll run in and out. Oh! I ordered Shake n' Bake from Amazon. Value Pack with 4 pouches for $4.54. Dang! I got 2.

My folks are up north of me in chilly Prescott. They'll both be 80 this year. Dad doesn't feel the need for panic. But bitches to high heaven that people keep wiping out the food.

KY checking in. Aside from mini trips to the grocery, using hand sanitizer every opp I have while out, washing hands as soon as I'm home, again after putting away, when getting mail... all is ok. We go outside for the dog, but other than that, we've been inbound. I go back to work on Monday, as far as I know.

Frequent check ins on my dear sweet neighbor lady, and his mom. His mom is super stubborn, but we're doing all we can to keep her in her house.

Off topic, but congrats on the 25.

I’ve been strict Keto since July 2019 (<20carbs) zero sugar <1442 Cals and I’m down 81.

My average carbs is 11 a day and 1200 calories. Mostly OMAD with black coffee through the day.

You’re hitting it on calories and carbs? 20g of carbs is really low imho. I’m trying to do mid range like 40-ish. Not sure how it’ll work now, though.
Stay safe, Donovan. (Yep, I love the name. Lol)

Yeah less than 20 a day is easy when you only eat one meal a day(omad)

8oz broccoli is 8.8carbs and less than 100cals

12oz Boiled chicken reheated on skillet with some hot sauce is zero carbs and like 500cals

Cheddar or Swiss 1/2 cup is 2.3 carbs and about 400 cals

14carbs 1100 cals and that is a ton of food.

Another day is egg omelet day... tefton sausage links, hot sauce

Then there is Hamburger and egg day.

Wife eats whatever and I miss bread...

Sucks when I cook for her and I make separate meals cause she just has a metabolism of a burning sun.

I eat a slice of pizza and I gain 14lbs

Other days I incorporate full on salad days, with chicken or tuna.

Wife says she doesn’t know how I keep up. I tell her, I only care what I am having to eat before I eat, once I’m done and not hungry, care less if it was boring ass chicken and broccoli and not a steak and potatoes with a beer etc.

My food delivery folks cut off orders early so I missed them. I’ve got stuff but I was going to get some fresh produce. Well, I left it late so I have to wait for next week.

My hubs in at his parents house, so isolation is worse for me than if he was here. But I’m proud of him for being a good son, especially since he’s an only child.

Things are bad in NY, but okay in my town so far. It’s dead quiet here which is the spooky part. But it’s a fairly quiet neighborhood. I’m so thankful to have VU now, since I’m isolated and it’s hitting home (haha) now.

Stay safe everyone. <3 <3

I got sick in November with some weird flu that knocked me on my butt and I couldn’t eat, so I lost over 10lbs. I was really weak and my hubs was making me eat more than usual. So I gained more than I lost!! So now I’ve got to go back to mid range CHO to get back into a good weight.

It’s gonna be a fight in my freezer between nic and meat right now. It’s this teeny fridge from the 70’s or something. Like an economy sized fridge. NY apartments, blech.

Wow! Congrats to YOU! That's amazing how you've done it for so long. Indeed 81lbs is nothing to spit at. Way to go!

With most everyone being home more often, I wonder how many will consume more food out of boredom. I just thought of that.

Strangely, anytime I feel like eating anything, including regular meals, my head says, "conserve, conserve, conserve". I eat, but, at the same time, I'm afraid to, lol. Haven't lost any weight or anything. Hell I can look at a salad and gain 40 pounds. More than anything, I'm just anxious and stressed out, like everyone.

Still alive and well here, but I have become a hermit now.
Kinda nice to be able to justify my hermitage :)

took the oldest sister some toilet paper and paper towels. She only watches right wing news and such so was very late getting stuff.

Went to lowes and got some boards I need and found a big bale of nice paper towells.

hand sanitized about 6 times while out.

No plans to go anywhere now for about a week or so at least.

We placed another online Walmart order today for pickup tomorrow evening, earliest appointment I could get.

There was no toilet paper, no echinacea, no butter-flavor grits, none of the little junky Totino's frozen pizzas I love like a kid, but was able to get cat food, some country ham bits for cooking a pot of beans, corn meal, some snack stuff and 2-liter drinks, Kleenex, hot dog and hamburger buns and bread, I can't remember what else. We'll see tomorrow what we are actually able to get in the order. We're still reasonably well-stocked on actual food.

Huck was talking about conserving - I had the same thought the other day, that in situations like this, it really seems irresponsible to me to waste resources, whether it's food or other consumables, or money, or electricity, anything really that costs money and could possibly be in limited supply. The next morning after I was thinking this I told hubbs it was time to cut back on breakfasts - he has been fixing these absolutely luscious breakfasts for me for a while now, on days that I am home, and they are really more than I need. I have also cut back on my special-ordered coffee pods, only had a couple of cups of it this week, and at other times I've had Nescafe. I have no idea if I can even order that coffee right now, so I'd rather make it last a while. This is also why I called it mostly quits on vape shopping. I've bought one very inexpensive mod and 3 Galatek RDAs ($12.72) since I decided that. Passed yesterday and today on ordering from WetVapes even though that's a pretty good discount with free shipping. I don't need anything.

Guy on TV just said there have been 2 million people so far to have filed for unemployment benefits since this stuff started, which I suppose has been just this week! I bet they are thankful for the Internet - can you imagine what a mess that would be at offices all over the country?

New Jersey has been told to stay home.

Oh, also...don't know if anyone saw this today, but iVapeSupply.com has masks for sale, and get a load of this.....they are $30 for 20 masks. More price gouging. I've spent my last penny at IVS. Fuckers.

Hang in there people. Keep yourself busy, even if it has to be cleaning out the fridge or reorganizing the groceries in your cabinets. it will help.
