Oh, that is really bad news. The FDA made noises like they were going to be more reasonable or whatever. I guess not.

Like Robert Graves said, “Goodbye To All That.”

Ahh their definition of more reasonable...

Best part is no results yet of what has been filed and rejected in JAN and FEB.
fingers crossed but even if several were filed it is gonna be bad.

It’s a bit late to start filing now or a few months ago even. I have a feeling we’re just going to have to hang tough for however long it takes for the tide to turn. Or if it doesn’t , we’ll just have to carry on vaping sub rosa.

I believe there are a few more either filed or will be by the BT guys for sealed pods and cigalikes.
The first actual vape related PMTA was not filed until last October and it was for one of the BT brands.

It’s horrible to contemplate BT taking over the vaping industry. They don’t give a damn about people stopping smoking. It’s so frustrating!

yeah I must add a correction to my previous post. It was the first vaping related PMTA app that was not rejected right away because of improper filing.

people are stopping smoking, and a lot of them are using vape to do it. BT not only wants in on the action, they want to monopolize it.
and they are paying the politicians to help them do that.

shoulda seen that

ask bloomberg, clintons and sorros if they agree with that.

Ohh nothing partisan about the buying of the US government. It is a VERY buypartisan thing.
Actually the partisan divide in the US helps to fuel the buying of the government.

There had been 432 apps filed.
There had been 392 closed aka rejected.

do the math.
And not all of these were vape related I expect.
Traditional Tobacco products also have to file PMTA for any products not on the US market since Feb 2007.

Not that this surprises me too much, but oh crap, I was hoping it wouldn't get too nasty. Got my fingers and toes crossed for you all !!

Thanks for your support.
i hope I am wrong but I cannot see this as anything but a mostly total shutdown of vape sales in the US at least for a while but what comes back will be minuscule for a time at least. I hope that attitudes will change in the future though.
Just too much anti vape attitude over here and virtually no politician has the balls to stand up for vaping.
plus we have a for profit HC system and healthier people cut into their profits.

And the corona thing happening now right before May is really bad. The regs will prolly go through un-noticed because attention will be elsewhere. Everything hit the fan sideways when the kids started getting sick, and things just keeping getting worse, or at least not really better.

I agree with the virus thing the PMTA deadline will pass without notice. However if the virus gets really bad it might delay some FDA enforcement some.

One place was reading a thread about it on ECR.
I know never trust strange vape boards :)

I’ve been watching news from Hong Kong in English, and Beeb and ITV news online. And taking it with a grain of salt. The Chinese news (NTD China in Focus) has had some good information, imho.
