I’m surprised about the bleach. Harm reduction places in the City were handing out bleach kits with new syringes to addicts. I figured it killed everything!

Household bleach is 1.25 % sodium hydroxide. Industrial bleach runs at 12.5%. If the household bleach won't kill it, the industrial will. I think we used 13 % when I was running with the rescue squad. We got trained that wiping down our gurney mattresses/pads with bleach and let it stand 1o minutes, wipe it off with a damp cloth, let dry and replace sheets and you've killed H.I.V..

But yes, it's being said bleach won't kill the Mexican beer virus/pathogen. Would imagine though x-rays do and more likely than naught @The Cromwell's package.s from China get x-ray scanned at the very least once if not thrice. I suspect anyone's packages from outside the U.S. get such scanning. I'm sure though they do not x-ray batteries.

Why the x-ray scanning? First, to protect U.S. Postal works from biological threats. Second, since 9/11/2001 we're on high alert security meaning packages get checked the more so. X-ray provides means to see bombs and kill bio agents. Something looks odd on x-ray, a package gets opened and inspected. Bemoan invasion of privacy if you will but this something I see as beneficial, purposeful and bearing merit.

Brief aside regarding Marshall Law. We are currently under Marshall Law despite any obvious announcements of it. I point to the closing of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue to through automobile traffic as one indication of that fact.

Another is that when Bush JR. was in office he set up an Army battalion to patrol U.S. soil, as in here in the United States proper. That battalion is tasked with rapid response and engagement to to acts of war, terrorism, insurrection.

That battalion to this day is still on patrol. So yes, we're under Marshall Law, even if we've not been told as much "officially". Sometimes what isn't said speaks the loudest.

Don't think anyone wants letters or packages going boom. Well, I might like the glitter bomb I'm sending my mom to pop and toss glitter all over her. That's not within the parameters of the discussion. ;) :) Besides, I can sort out a harmless way to do that without arousing suspicions.

I'm tired of going to meetings, I have work to do LOL.

I would give the boss/es an itemized bill for double time for a pro-rated hourly meeting. The meeting takes five minutes you've wasted an hour, charge for the hour. The items you can put on the bill include any work related tasks you could have gotten done in the hour. Also post as a footer on the bill you give them net 30 to pay, each day late after that you add ten percent. If they take the bill, see it and do not tell you directly in writing they refuse payment, you can sue over breach of contract. The bill is the contract. You're there as a "service" to them.

Or you give them a Navy salute when they call for a meeting. The middle finger and a crisp, "fuck you sir, I'm working here."

Maybe folks will lose weight by smelling them all together and not going to Mickey D’s!

I'm posting this response here, because I can't in good conscience post it where it really belongs. If you've read said thread, you'll follow.

I can hardly believe what I'm reading here in this thread. Is OP shitting us? Probably not, but I guess this helps explain what all the hate is about these days, if this is the way young people have been using Juuls. Thanks a lot, kids.

Thanks to you we've all had to spend money like there's no damn tomorrow, to stock up on gear and diy supplies and wire and cotton and batteries and everything under the fucking sun, because suddenly the way we got off cigs, and then allowed to become skill and hobby and community and fun, is suddenly the DEVIL INCARNATE, and everybody and their brother is trying to wipe vaping from the face of the earth.

Because of the foolish bullshit THEIR KIDS (not my kids, understand, someone else's kids) are doing, this is what WE are now having to face.

The behavior I've read described in this thread is nothing but idiocy. It's the same idiocy as drinking to the point of alcohol poisoning, or snorting coke until you stroke out or bleed half to death from a nose that's eaten away inside, or any of those other extremely risky behaviors that people engage in DELIBERATELY, knowing it's ridiculous, irresponsible, dangerous, just plain fucking stupid.

A lot of us did those kinds of things when we were younger, perhaps some of us still do, but I cannot think of ONE SINGLE THING that, because of someone else's behavior, got taken away from everyone who engaged in ANY FORM of it.

It is like taking alcohol away from a person who has a glass of wine with dinner because some kid at a college 300 miles away got rip roaring drunk, got in the car and ran over someone's dog and 4-year-old child, then died of alcohol poisoning on the way to a hospital.

WHAT KIND OF FUCKING SENSE DOES ANY OF THIS MAKE?

WHAT KIND OF FUCKING SENSE DOES ANY OF THIS MAKE?

Remember now it is Humans we are dealing with here.
Whatcha expect?

also it seems that at least the US humans have about lost all considerations for others.
Just me and I want it now!
And do not forget, nothing is OUR fault. And especially not our darling little childrens fault.

I mean look at you complaining because worthless kids caused you to spend money on something you wanted to buy anyway?

LMAO

A lot of us did those kinds of things when we were younger, perhaps some of us still do, but I cannot think of ONE SINGLE THING that, because of someone else's behavior, got taken away from everyone who engaged in ANY FORM of it.

There was a walled in back porch on a two story farm house we rented. A sturdy cable from the lightning rod down beside this porch. All three of us boys would shimmy up the wall and step over unto the porch's roof, slip into the bedroom window. We'd slip out and hop off the roof too.

We also would climb up unto the roofs of single story chicken houses, jump off. Another thing we enjoyed was going barefoot nearly year round. We'd be sure the top strand of barbed wire fence was taut, hop on it and run along the fence, and hop over onto the top board of a board fence and run. I jumped off a rail bridge going across the river into the river. Used to rope swing and hop off out over the river.

Used to go tease F.B.I cars and run the back roads lights out. It was hellish fun being in the back of a topper covered S10 pickup. Man we did a lot of crazy, stupid stuff, made moltov cocktails, small bombs, played with electric fences and transistors. Three country boys all raised so much Hell our mom will live in shame forever, but she's proud of each of us.

All that aside I had a call from mom last night. She got sent to a top doctor last week. They removed some polyps from her gut. The doctor said if they were left they were likely to turn cancerous so it was best to keep them out of her. He'll check again in a few months to be sure nothing has returned. Hard to realize my mom is near or in her 70's now.

She also had some good news regarding my middle brother and his tryst with Molly Elizabeth Tiara Howe (use the caps). I don't glorify that. No, in fact I rather not see anyone use it. Well, my middle brother is seeming to clean his shit up, seeming to be fighting through and abstaining from using. Me and mom though both know that stuff really screws a person over and is damn hard to kick. His wife's cousin that lived with them a while passed, suicide induced by that. Mom says she thinks that scared him sober.

Youngest brother is still moving out from up with middle brother and coming back home to mom. Mom's place will be his place and me and middle brother will not have any argument against that. If middle brother does, we'll shut him up. Youngest brother is his older two brother's saving grace. I know even if he takes mom's place me and my wife will always be welcomed there, unless we do something completely out of line. And then I'd not blame him for kicking us out.

But yes, it seems our world is full of stupid. It seems kids will be kids too and to an extent that's okay. I can agree this current crop seems more Hell bent on proving stupid has no cure than we ever were. It is frustrating because of all of the grief they wrought. Then we can always take away car keys, take away tuition money, take away fancy toys. Let them go play with sticks and mud in the back yard. Of course, they wouldn't understand building a wattle and daub fort, using the clay to make bowls, pitchers or weaving a fishing basket to fish the creek.

My wife said this new batch just proves the expression 'smoke yourself stupid" is accurate. It is a shame genuinely. Then, at the same time a lot of them are STATE kids, too. Mommies and daddies didn't want the responsibilities, just the fun. Sometimes I can see the "elite's" point of view in calling many of us wasted eaters. Other times I see the divine in us and keep hope.

If you drive an expensive car you're probably a jerk, scientists say
The science is looking pretty unanimous on this one: Drivers of expensive cars are the worst.

A new study has found that drivers of flashy vehicles are less likely to stop and allow pedestrians to cross the road -- with the likelihood they'll slow down decreasing by 3% for every extra $1,000 that their vehicle is worth.

LMAO I had always loved the "joke" "What is the difference between a porcupine and a BMW?
The BMW has the pricks on the inside.

Turns out it is not a joke but scientific fact.

My personal experience has shown this to be true, but I still feel my heart go pitty-pat when I see an Audi A8. I guess I'm a jerk who's still in the closet, hampered only by my lack of funds.

Always have loved great cars.

Vape related!!!
One thing I have not seen touched on with the shelves running bare of vape stuff in the US is the serious reduction of flights into and out of China due to the virus. Most of our vape stuff comes by air and I figure air freight is being determined on a priority basis right now and vape stuff may not rank very high.

although...
I did get 4 packets of electronics components yesterday that I ordered mid January...

I’ve thought about that, and it was brought up in the Vape Mail thread since a lot of people are waiting on Chinese mail.

Most US goods come from China. Vape gear is bottom of the barrel to them imo. Especially since stuff like meds are threatened with shortages.

To be clear once again, Americans don't need masks. The CDC says that healthy people in the US shouldn't wear them because they won't protect them from the novel coronavirus.
But medical workers who treat patients with novel coronavirus do need them. And, the CDC says, it's crucial that those supplies don't run out.

But if they do not protect you from the virus why do health care workers need them?

Quite honestly, I really don't have any faith in ANYTHING the CDC has to say anymore. After holding out as long as they did on vital information concerning what was really causing the respiratory illnesses/deaths, I say if you feel better wearing the masks THEN WEAR THEM!

Too many politics and $$$ driven agendas influencing the media, government, and agencies (such as the CDC and FDA) for me to have any faith in much these days!

Right on. The CDC did people such a disservice by not telling the truth about the carts so some people thought smoking was better.

Piss off autocorrect. Don’t change my comment!!

Random outburst of frustration...
Damn work truck shit the bed on me again. Luckily it's an easy fix. The idler pulley melted on me. Lost power steering. Truck over heated. Luckily I was only a couple miles from home and limped it into my driveway. Cheap and quick to change. I changed it one year ago. Crappy auto zone replacement parts.
Tired of this truck giving me crap. Hopefully by the middle of summer I'll have another truck and I'll set this one on fire.

Also, the doctors told me this morning that I have asthma. Im 39 years old and we are just discovering this?! At least it's not copd. Yet.

Been vaping since 2013ish. Yes family history of asthma and copd. Was a 2 pack a day smoker for 23 years. Probably had asthma long ago, just never got checked until recent.

That sucks. I’m so sorry. But it prolly would’ve been a lot worse if you hadn’t been vaping all these years.

Are you having shortness of breath or something?

I hope you’re wearing a good mask when you paint, Chain.

No shortness of breath. Just a weird lingering cough that I've had forever.Went in for a breathing test this morning. First one ever. She said it looks like asthma. I'll have to wait a couple of weeks until my primary doctor gets the actual results from it. And yes, I wear masks when needed while working.

Check out Quercetin. But see if it interacts with any meds you might be taking. It helped me when I suddenly had sinus stuff, coughing, and congestion. (I’m so tired of the flu already!!)

Glad about the masks!

It is on youtube as well. Where I saw it.
The marinade is the traditional chemical shampoos and soaps.

Sigh. We use Dr. Bronner’s Peppermint Castile soap. No marinating going on in our shower. :giggle: But if you mix it too strong, you’ll remember it for a while.

Perhaps they plan to go around the streets in winter and kindly hand out sheets of paper from the studies to homeless people to help them stay warm.
Money well spent I say.
