I knew it, and I am grieved at his loss. He's a true old-time movie star, and will be missed by many.

Andria

He’s great with Stanwyck in The Strange Love Of Martha Ivers. One of my all time favorite Noir movies.

Now that one I know of.
I liked him as an actor.
Even if he did tend to wear spandex trousers :)

My Dad was a huge fan of Kenny Rogers. He went to his shows a lot, back in the day. He took me one time, just me and him and I had the best time. We got all dolled up and everything, lol. Dad had gotten a great spot for the show, he was standing in front of us while singing Lady, so I waved at him. He winked back at me. I thought I was a star! LOL!!

Always liked Kenny.

When I was pregnant with my son (nearly 40 years ago), we lived near Kenny's ranch outside Athens, GA. Hubbs used to see him occasionally in the mall, and he would bring groups of people in to eat in the restaurant my husband managed. At the time he was a "hometown celebrity" to the people around Athens.

During this same time, R.E.M. was playing college bars and various other dives around Athens. They were just getting started. Michael Stipe was so shy he wouldn't talk to anyone, and had such stage fright that sometimes he would hide when it was time to go on stage.

RIP Kenny.
