We hit Redbox yesterday for The Kitchen - excellent film, I'll be watching it again...Shaw and Hobbs - yet another Fast n' Furious, but pretty good. Some really funny parts...Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark - not half bad, I've seen scarier but the story line was pretty good...and Rambo: Last Blood - one of the goriest I've seen, but typical of the rest of the Rambo series.

Hey Teresa, Long time no see.
Hope everything is good.
Do you miss vaping yet?
Hey, how's you? After I got over the "hand-to-mouth" thing, I really don't miss it much. There are stressful days when it comes to mind, and the occasional feeling that I'm "forgetting something" after I eat, but other than that I think I'm done. It's been about nine months since I last vaped. Not that it'd be so bad if I went back...I still defend it tooth and nail, I'd never have given up cigarettes without it

I damn sure wouldn't have stopped the smokes if it wasn't for vaping.
I'm doing 3mg now and no problems. I started at 12mg 3 years ago to kick the habit.
I guess maybe i could stop vaping also if i put my mind to it. For now, i don't want to.
Started DIY a few months ago and enjoying the hell out of mixing.
Plus i have too much gear and supplies.
Have a good New Year and don't be a stranger. You were always one of the fine folks i took advice from when i started.

Thanks, that's so sweet of you! If I hadn't cut the nicotine because of my blood pressure I probably wouldn't have quit either. I really enjoyed it and loved mixing. I had actually considered continuing to mix, but that's kinda hard to do when you don't use your own product. ;)

Either or... I can appreciate both.

I try to watch at least one film a month from the golden age of cinema; have to do this on my own, wife has the attention span of a gnat.. all about the splash of a movie, I enjoy the spoken content much more.

I do enjoy a lot of the newer eye candy movies, I just take them for what they are.

I might try and find Sunset Blvd. and watch that for NYE!

or watch Citizen Kane again lol

There’s a few good channels on YT with good film noirs. And they’re free for now.

Omg, Sunset Boulevard is one of the best films! I had to watch Citizen Kane in Film Studies. It’s amazing, but it’s pure Orson OTT stuff. Have you seen his Paul Masson commercials? Or the one for frozen peas. They’re on YT too. They’re classic!

So, check out Mr. Spinks!!! And PizzaFlix. And NancyDrewe. The last channel has good playlists, imho.

Happy New Year.

Can you vape 0mg? I think vaping is relaxing. When I started mixing, I forgot to add nic and just vaped glycerine for a day!

Happy New Year. It’s nice to see old members come around.

I actually vaped 0mg for the last three months. I just thought "what's the point?' and tried to see how long I could go without it. I was always one of those who would tell new members that nothing was better for the lungs but clean air, but if it was a choice between cigarettes and vaping, vaping was definitely better. What I thought was odd was how easy it was to go to 0mg but so difficult to give vaping up completely. The hand-to-mouth habit was much stronger than the chemical part of it for me. There for awhile I kept the tootsie roll pop people in business, I looked like Kojak with a sucker in my mouth all the time. :giggle:

Gemini Man last night which I thought was pretty good but the ending was weird. Lots of action to keep you interested.

Cold Pursuit. not over the top or nothing. but its a fairly good movie. if you are brain cramped trying to pick a movie, happens to me all the time, pic this one. its worth a watch.

and right at the end, there is a "bet you didn't see that coming", and its funny.

It's an official remake of the 2014 Norwegian film In Order of Disappearance (Kraftidioten), which was quite a lot better IMO.

His birthday, his choice...

Maleficent Mistress of Evil. Not bad, really. We enjoyed the first one, too. I liked the first one better.

The Kitchen, which we both wanted to see. Seemed to move really fast, we both enjoyed that one, too. It got very low ratings, which I thought was odd.

The Dark. Many out there with that title but this is on Prime Video.
Movie was made 2018 and stars Nadia Alexander.
About a girl who was killed in the woods (so they thought)
This girl takes no prisoners!
Movie is brutal and good.

We watched The Irishman last night to kill the evening before the ball drop. Although 3 1/2 hours long it did go fast although we had intermission for a desert break.

Was cool seeing the diners and restaurants we have eaten in many times.

Best gangster flick I've seen in a LONG time. Enjoyed this one a lot, but I'm a fan of the genre anyway.

10 Rillington Place. Older movie, 1971, but I've been looking for an affordable DVD copy for years and finally found the Blu Ray on eBay. True story about a murderer in England, buries bodies in his garden and in the walls of his house, innocent man hanged for his crimes. Creepy, but good.

Was that the guy who was like the British Jeffrey Dahmer? I read something back when Dahmer first went to prison that there was a similar psychopath who had been on the loose in Britain. Don't know if that guy would have been as early as the 70s, though.

No, the movie came out in 1970 but the crimes occurred during the 40s. Christie strangled and molested his victims, but he didn't eat them.

Really scary flick. And the case it’s based on is creepy!

I think the last movie I watched was Elizabeth Harvest. Kind of an odd movie, not too terrible. Been watching movies on the movie channels, happy to see they finally have some newer stuff (2016+) rather than constant repeats from the 80's and 90's. Not sure about newer movies though, maybe it's just the ones they're showing. It's like a shit ton of B movies with actors I've never heard of. Look more like a film class project, very little background music, long pauses between dialogue between like 2 people. Just, weird. Unnatural. Elizabeth Harvest literally had 5 people in it. lol.

The last movie I watched was Logan for like the third to sixth time. I'm still pissed off at trees, damn it. Yes, I know the adamantium had poisoned him. The tree didn't need to stab him. Fucking thing, what was it doing there anyway? I set and figured, if you follow Marvel Comics logic Wolverine is/was well over 500 years old.

He was around for the Quasi-war which was in 1798, fought in both the Spanish & Mexican American wars. Then, finally dies in 2019. This is only 221 years but a person needs to consider there was time for his youth when he left with Sabertooth.

That time period though hinted at is never really pinned down. Though in the late 15th century the French and British were colonizing Canada. This gives another 200 years at least and Logan appears as a boy of possibly 8-12 years old. This still seems short of the 500 years until you figure Logan's healing ability also stunted his aging. 100 years to us might seem a year to him.

This is how I figured he's at least 500 years old or more. I know that might seem a bit obsessive for a fictional character. Then I also consider that had I not got put on hormone treatment I would have not aged, been impervious to toxins inclusive of exhaustion, like Wolverine. How far is it to then wonder, maybe Marvel based a fiction off something real? That's why the character Logan holds a place dear for me.

Right after xmas, I finally got to see the 2nd "Independence Day" movie, because my husband wanted to finally delete it from our DVR. It was ok; would definitely have been better with Will Smith, because really, anything would be better with him in it! But I guess that would have made the character's son less of a big deal in the 2nd movie.

Was really nice to see that Brent Spiner is still kicking around, even if he is very definitely an old fart now... hell, who isn't! :teehee: Jeff Goldblum with gray hair is decidedly odd.
