Sad day

I have been using Glas pound cake for several years as my ADV. Just found out from glas they are discontinuing all their badged juices to include the pound cake. What a sad day for me. Does any one know if anyone is selling a clone? I have tried several and it's still nothing like the original.

Ask them for the recipe...
Just an idea -
1 - they might give it to you, if they're going out of the juice business
2 - it might be the way of the future, mixing your own...and it would certainly be less than 1/10th the cost.

I feel your pain, the same thing happened with one of my favs Nana Pie. If I would have known this, I would have bought everything they had in stock at the time, especially since it was on sale. Something for you to consider doing if it's possible.

What train said^^^^^^^^^^ and if they don’t just start buying up some pound cake flavorings from all the different brands. Ecigexpress or Riversupply are two of my personal favorite base and flavor vendors. Just get the smallest bottle of flavoring and mix each one in a 10ml bottle at 5%. Try each one right away and then every 5-7 days try again. By the time you use up these 10ml testers you will have an excellent idea of what each flavor is and maybe you improve upon the original. This whole test will be pretty cheap and at the end you should be well on your way to an excellent pound cake. You will have to add some accent flavors no doubt and maybe even some sweetener but once you get the main flavor it will just be some tweaking to make it a bonafide masterpiece. Hopefully they just give you the recipe but if not you may find something you like better and at a much cheaper price. So cheap in fact you will probably be willing to send off some of this delicious new juice to forum friends who have given you good advice in the past,
Hint hint hint

Haven't seen anyone working on cloning this. You might check the DIY recipe sites to see if you can locate a mixer who has a clone.

A subtle flavor like pound cake would be extremely difficult to get exactly right, imo.

I'd do what others have suggested and buy all you can before it disappears altogether.

I agree on the complex flavoring and is the main reason I do not want to even try duplicating it. Doing my own mixing is not my thing anyway. I did find a place in Cali that had 6 bottles left and I bought it. I have been looking on Google and everyone else is out of stock.

I did reach out to Glas by email and asked if they would give up their recipe. Hopefully they will. I'm not into mixing my own. If I can get the recipe, I will need to find someone to mix it up. Thanks

Learning to make your own juice is pretty easy! I just learned how to diy a few weeks ago! My good friend @Jimi taught me. I’m sure he wouldn’t mind helping getting you started!

I appreciate it. I did find 6 bottles from a retailer and found a recipe that many claim is pretty spot on the original glas pound cake. I may take you up on it if I can't find someone soon.

The recipe site lediypourlesnuls.com that the mixer references has some very good recipes on it. I've wandered through that site before.

I'd go with this recipe instead, if I were doing the choosing, just saying...

http://tjek.nu/r/4mCE

Will probably mix this eventually myself, it looks like a really good recipe, but I am not in a viable position to mix juice to sell.

Oh, and OP? Don't feel bad about sharing that recipe here. On ELR people have the option to keep recipes private if they don't want others to use/share them. Your posting the link is credit enough.

Yeah I have that one by Sandman as well. Thanks

Well went ahead and bought all the supplies to give mixing my own a try. The one thing I did is on the PG/VG is bought it already pre mixed as base with 3mg nic 70/30. Looking at this recipe by Sandman, I'm unsure how much of the base to use or adjust the formula. Any help would be much appreciated.

I'd suggest creating a (free) account on https://e-liquid-recipes.com/ (people refer to it here as ELR) and use the "Create a recipe" function. You want to set your parameters (nic strength, PG/VG ratio) and then click "Add flavor" and search for your flavors adding them by strength. It's pretty easy once you get the hang of it.

Since the nic you have is premixed with PG/VG, and most flavors are either PG or VG based, you'll need to add a bit of the other to keep your desired balance. Plenty of people to help around here if you have questions. Happy mixing.

Did you get a scale that weighs in grams, to a precision of .01 gram? You need one to use a recipe in this format, or you need to buy syringes or a graduated cylinder, or you need to convert the recipe to display drops instead of grams.

Sandman's recipe is for a 100ml bottle. If that isn't the size you're mixing, first thing you'd need to do (after you sign up for an ELR account) is go to his recipe, click the blue box with the little wrench in it, and select "Adapt This."

This action will copy Sandman's recipe into your recipes library, and will allow you to make changes and save that new version as your own.

Put in your size bottle, plus the parameters 3mg for nic, 70 for VG, 30 for PG. Use 70 VG and 30 PG as bases for the nicotine, too.

Drip each flavor into your empty mixing bottle in the amount your new recipe specifies.

When all flavors are in, fill the bottle to within about 3/4 inch of the top with your base/nic mixture. Cap it tightly and start shaking. Tilt the bottle back and forth, shake it end to end and side to side, roll it around, you want to continue this for at least several minutes. Give the mix a good shake again and again over the next couple of days. Store it in a cool, dark place.

Looking at this particular recipe, I wouldn't even taste it for at least 5 or 6 days. Bakeries need steep time, and this one will only get better up to about 2.5 to 3 weeks.

Mixing this way does not give you exactly 3mg, 30/70, but it's very very close. I doubt you'll ever notice the difference, especially since this recipe only uses 14% flavoring. Might be worth buying some VG and adjusting it if the recipe was at 30%.

I did not get scales, but have all the syringes, graduated cylinders up to 100ml. I intend on making 100ml of this recipe. I Wil, create an account as suggested, but I have a 1000ml bottle of 70/30 with 3mg of nic. His recipe shows 81ml of base. Is that my base line as well as adding the flavors?
