Just wanted to say hello.
I've just started vaping again. I was 5 years without a cigarette, vaping helped with that big time. I make my own juice and build my own box mods. I started a new job 2 years ago and after some time I was smoking the pall mall all over again. I picked up my mod about 2 weeks ago and am down to half a pack a day from almost 3 packs a day. Alot has changed in the time I've been away. EBay has some kind of vaping ban and all the gear is gone from there. I have plenty of rdas and rtas, I don't build coils but used to trade homemade juice for them. I'm just far out of the loop here. I work maintenance at an industrial plant and have access to all kinds of neat shit I make boxes from. I'll post some pics in the future. I just wanted to say what's up and hopefully I'll get to learn more then I know now and maybe help new folks out when I can. See y'all in the forums

Welcome Maintenance Man. Yeah, ebay jumped the vape ship, Alibaba, too. Flavor bans all over the place and still we're waiting to hear from Washington whatever fun news of the hour they have for us.

You'll have more fun and get better information here, than in the news, that's for sure. Hope you enjoy your time

I never believe anything from any news agency, these days everyone is trying to bend the truth to fit their agenda. I've done a little looking around here and seems like a cool place.

It's been a little while since I did anything really out there, but always have my.eyes peeled for the.next crazy build. I just gutted and rebuilt 3 of my alpine boxes. Simple stuff, a dual parallel, dual series and a trip PWM. Just to get me back into the swing of things.

HELLYEAH! Preston county here. I confess, I wasn't born and raised here, but this place has taken a large part of my heart.

Jackson county here. I too am a transplant. Been living up here about fifteen to twenty years off and on, though. My wife is a born and bred Mountaineer. I'm from the Old Dominion but was born in the Sunshine State, lived in the Prairie State briefly. Visited the Peach State & Creole State just a little in each. Think WV has become home. :) Although, I'm not ruling out other places in the world. There are some which still fascinate me. :)

West Virginians are reasserting their presence. We don't need to take over, always been here. :)

Funny how we WV folk join or reassert ourselves in flocks. Berkley County here. I may have only been here for 2 years but been within shouting distance for over 30. lol

BTW, welcome to the VU Maintenance man. Hope you enjoy your second forum experience.

I may have only been here for 2 years but been within shouting distance for over 30. lol

I was down in the area of Broadway, Timberville, New Market in VA. We would go back to Bergton in VA which held a big lawn party/community fair each Summer. For a while I lived in Cootes Store, also on Route 259, we lived on route 613 which is a "backroad to everywhere" down that way. Bergton was 17 miles or less from WV. We could "get off" between Bergton & Cootes in Fulk's Run, go up on to one of the mountains and get unto the "hidden mountain ridge highway", there we could find a section of road called King's Crossing.

King's Crossing could dump you out in:

WV,

Woodstock, VA,

Harrisonburg, VA,

Linville, VA,

Mt. Jackson, VA,

and it was even rumored to come out in a part of Kentucky & Tennessee.

Never did go on it enough to find the way to Kentucky or Tennessee, or maybe I did and forgot. *grin* I tell you you get on the hidden highway you can go for miles and get nowhere, or anywhere. You have to know your way. A couple times I went out to help in a "look for 'em" parties.

There was one elderly lady that was found but left to her own. She was lucid and sound minded. She also knew she wanted to die, on her terms.

The law enforcement there knew she would get away from the nursing home again. They knew she had no drugs, poisons, no weapons. She simply wanted to be free in nature to die. It was decided they would send in a small recovery crew after two weeks, bring her home to be properly attended. Sadly, she had no family left.

Another old man couldn't be let alone. His family pretended to actually care. All the people in the know, knew it was paper thin. Still family wishes needed honored. He would get away every month for a while, go fetch him and bring him back.

Fun times looking back, even the times we were out in the cold and wet.

I was born and raised in Winchester VA in Frederick County. Was only 25 miles from Woodstock, Tom's Market, etc. Harrisburg was closer to 50 miles though on I81. You weren't very far south. I have mostly been on the northern point of VA. Only minutes from WV.

I know many times I would wait til fall and go to Front Royal and get on Skyline Drive and drive for hours. Awesome scenery and great views of the mountains. Being a protected park, the deer would walk up to your cars. Had many great times cruising for hours never knowing where it would end. lol

Yeah, depending on how we chose going Harrisonburg was either fifteen to twenty miles. We could go up to Dayton via 613, Harrisonburg too, Bridgewater as well if you knew about how. We could also go up Route 11, or Route 42. Route 42 come into Broadway as a junction unto Route 259, it also ran down and become main street Timberville. There was a lot of "broad as it is long".

Everyone around "home" there liked to avoid I81 the "road of death". It was getting very bad on I81 and only kept getting worse. Lots of accidents and not as many DUIs involved like people might expect. I81 is just a rough driving road and there's not really any clear one thing to point to making it so,

I know many times I would wait til fall and go to Front Royal and get on Skyline Drive

We'd go over through New Market, cut over and go up across Luray. We'd enter at Thorton Gap and sometimes come off at Swift Run Gap. We liked Big Meadows and Skyland. Me, wife and my boyfriend went up one Autumn. He could not get over how pretty the leaves were.

This struck me funny being he lived in PA, also beautiful country in Autumn. Been up a time or two in helping with our church at the time, they partnered with a sister church that ran a basketball camp. Some of us would go each year to help get the camp ready, a few stayed for the camp as a thank you. Then too, my boyfriend was barely ever home. His job kept him running all over. Lots of his work originated from and in D.C..

Don't get me wrong, still love being in VA. I also seem to love being back here in WV, tucked away from all that noise too. May not seem like there would be such a disconnect between the two. There's a world of difference culturally. In VA it is full bore and guns blazing, "get 'er done!" In WV it's more like "well piss, it'll be there when I get to it."

The oddest thing too in WV people know you'll get to it, they never push you. Also in WV you'll be driving along and come on guys in a pickup ahead of you cutting fallen trees, branches up and clearing the road. You hop out, go give a hand. You see someone stranded roadside, pull over ask if they got it or need help. People actually do help, too and it is reciprocated. In VA you got pushers and those what like to put their noses up your ass in not a good way. None of that back here. :)

I moved out.if New Jersey almost 3 years ago and haven't looked back since. I landed a pretty good job as an industrial electrician and all around maintenance mechanic. The pay is good the overtime is better, the stuff I learn everyday is priceless. Being from NJ I was a little creeped out by the manners and kindness I encounter every time I leave the house. Guess they call it "Almost Heaven" for a reason. I do have a vaping issue tho. As I said before, I put my mod down almost 2 years ago and only just recently picked it back up. I use my own recipes, even cut the flavor % down a bit. But some of my favorites make me choke and cough. I've been just trying to push through but it's still happening.it happens with all my boxes regulated, or mechanical, rda or rta, and I'm case you wanted to know I'm running a limitless 200w (the one with interchangeable plates) a Kennedy 24 deck with a complyfe battle cap. In the last month or so I brought about 15 or more old school regulated mods back to life. 3 Snow wolf sigelei 100+,150w 150tc. A handful of IPV mods and more. Gotta run

To me this sounds like either a PG or VG issue. What ratio of each do you use, or 100% PG/VG, 50/50? What you can do is look for flavorings in either PG or VG but you need to figure out which one is effecting you first.

If you're using 50/50 try possibly 30%PG/70%VG. If that seems to help it may possibly be the PG was the cause and you may want to go to 20%PG/80%VG. If that doesn't seem to offer relief, work the percentages inversely adding more PG, less VG. I think one, or the other might be the cause.

I myself use something akin to 10%PG/90%VG when using flavors and 100% VG when using unflavored. Like the texture VG provides over the texture, or slipperiness of PG. Be aware though, higher VG means more coil/s gunked up, but if that is that's what you need to do to get rid of the coughing, small trade off.

I use max vg in my juices, and 1.5 nic. The only pg added is from the flavorings. These are all mixes I've used before. Just having a rough start. No matter what I'm gonna keep working it until I get it right. Thanks

Yes, but you're an extraterrestrial too. Likely Earth vegetables present something of an allergy. Not to be political but to joke. Do you think Trump's wall will hinder your alien brethren from visiting America? :) :D *chuckles*
Nope we come in vertical :)
Or teleport.

besides in the US if you come from extra terrestrial origins you are not an illegal alien.
---------------
The “Extraterrestrial Exposure” law was removed from the CFR in 1991, NASA having determined that it had “served its purpose” and was “no longer in keeping with current policy.” That law is therefore no longer in force.

One of my better past achievements.

For all the sand it's worth, my opinion is y'all still from out of town and ought to be held to higher account due in fact of that. I mean honestly what is the point of one of your fellow extra terrestrial brethren or rather it, coming to Earth to make super glue & silly putty? Worse yet, that guy who gave us sporks. Do they not realize the addictive, nay almost seductive advances with such technologies beyond Earthly bounds? These are civilization ending things if you are pressed to reflect on them.

By the by, Tesla was Plebian, correct?

Strange humans think we are as kinky as they are...

Well, I know some from Venus that like something with arm pits. So yeah you "aliens" can be pretty "far out there" in doing the sexual intercourse bit.. I don't worry so much about the anal probings any more. Remembered my mom would swat my butt to knock my brain back into my head. So, I figure when visitors come and go looking around there they're exploring my brain or something. :)

To get back on track, Welcome to VU @Maintenance man!

I too would be interested in seeing some of your mod work. If you can make mods and DIY you can make coils!
I wish I took the time to learn to spin the wire, my brother could and my.son is even better. I'm sure if I tried I wouldn't be terrible but there is only so much time in a day, plus the.time I spend at the pistol range now, and work. It's on my mind and if I do find the time, I already have a pretty good stack of spools of assorted wire. Time is tight.I promise the next tweaked out mod will get posted here. Looks like it may be a lightsaber. This dude I know spent about 400 beans on a lightsaber, it's got lights and makes noise, anyway he somehow broke the thing, it's a well constructed piece. He wants a mod but doesn't know ohms law or even the basics. All I can say is he's open to learn.

Sorry, I know I am not the.most active member but I spend alot of time at the plant,, the rest of the time I try to spend with my wife, but I'm here now. Here's the update so far, I got over the choking and coughing, just had to keep pushing, I'm down to 5 smokes a day give or take, but getting better. The lightsaber is going to be a stacked tube mod, a one of a kind, it's gonna be sick as hell. I'll post pics of the progress but have no idea how to (yet). I'll figure it out before I finish it. I'm pretty excited about it I'll probably give it to the guy a week or so of running it without any issues. I promise it's gonna be a monster. Just gotta find a rda that looks right on it. I'm doing this piece for free because I need the challenge, and ...well someone needs to turn it into a mod. If you seen it you'd know it needs to be turned. Also, I thought I uploaded a profile pic but I suck at computer stuff, more of a building things with my hands kind of guy.

That's a lot of beans. *typed imagining a hub cap sized plate full of beans* Damn it, those derails sure roll by so easily. Sounds like y'all heading in a good direction though. :)

I've been laughing about a "hub cap sized plate full of beans" for a few days now. Something about it just cracks me.up. Thanks, I needed that. Shits been rough lately.

My hero, Trinity. :)

I like making up batches of the beans according to the recipe they used on set for these movies. They be some damn yummy beans to eat, scarf down. :D And yes, know all about Blazing Saddles too. Grew up watching The Duke, Gene Audrey, Will Rogers among others. It was good later on to see movies which spoofed all the seriousness out of those hard edge westerns.

Also good then also to watch Bruce Willis put that edge back on in Last Man Standing, a remake of Poisonvile from the novel Red Harvest. And good seeing Frank Miller's Sin City brought from comics/graphic novels to the screen too. Think Mikey Rourke broke the mold playing Marv. Yep. Like a bunch of that sort of stuff do I?

Glad you've gotten a bit of joy from those beans. :) Don't ever let life kick your ass to the ground and stay down. Nah, tell it to go fuck itself instead. If life is a chick for you well, tell her the same thing. Always remember beans rule. :D :) Together we'll ignite an inferno to clean up all this trash on Earth. Fire up the methane! :)

No, I'm not a fanatic. I cannot get enthusiastic enough to be. It's a problem in my brain since birth. Guess what I tell that problem? ;)
